"This hotel is great! The room looks exactly like the pictures online. The location is super convenient for getting around. They even rent out electric scooters on-site, and the staff are really helpful with directions. As someone from Malaysia who isn't familiar with the area, renting a scooter and following their explanations and maps was no problem at all 😂. They also offer a shuttle service to Lijiang, which is really cost-effective and convenient. They pick you up right at the entrance. You can ask the friendly guys at the front desk – it's truly a one-stop service! 👍🙏 💰 Fair price ✅ 💰 Scooter rental, super cheap ✅ Clean and tidy environment ✅"

"I had a very pleasant stay at Erhai Lakeview Apartments. First photo is the view from the room, absolutely stunning! Room is big and spacious with a lot of space to open our luggage. We were assisted by very friendly and helpful staff 小乐 throughout our stay and he provided us with food recommendations around the area as well as possible itinerary or activities to do in Dali during our stay. Additionally, the apartment is conveniently located above a convenience store, local eats, a cafe, and options to rent e-scooters for transport around the city. The street opposite also has many good food options. Would recommend!"

At night lots of restaurants in the main street open until very late so it's easy to find food."

"The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!"

"An absolutely delightful and highly recommended stay! This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 3-minute walk from the high-speed rail station, making getting around super easy. There are restaurants right downstairs, and it's close to Erhai Lake and the ancient city. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. I slept incredibly well all night, completely shaking off any travel fatigue. The front desk staff was fantastic – from check-in to check-out, the lady was so warm and patient, answering all my questions. She even proactively helped with my luggage and recommended nearby attractions. The attention to detail was truly thoughtful. It really set me up for an energetic day. Next time I'm in Dali, I'm definitely choosing this hotel again!"

"It was okay, but despite my notes, I was still given a room that didn't match my request. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and gave me lots of information about the surrounding area. Erhai Lake is right next door. The hygiene wasn't great; there was still trash in the bin that hadn't been emptied, and there were hairs under the sheets, so I had to sleep on top of my clothes."

"This hotel is conveniently located just off an alley within Dali Ancient City, easily accessible by taxi. It's perfect for travelers who enjoy a relaxed, nature-filled atmosphere. The courtyard, with its lush greenery and pond, is incredibly photogenic. We stayed on a rainy day, and they even provided a dryer and dehumidifier, which was a nice touch. Our room was in the back, so street noise wasn't an issue at night. It also had a small balcony, perfect for unwinding, and a tatami-style tea area, which I unfortunately didn't get to fully enjoy due to our schedule. The breakfast was a highlight – very nutritious and healthy, and the yuzu tea was delicious! The staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay! "

The room had a gentle, healing minimalist wood style, with excellent decor quality. It was clean, tidy, and very tasteful, with every corner feeling cozy and the ambiance being perfect. On the fourth floor, you can do laundry and also visit the small rooftop for some great photos. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. As they say, when I go back to work, I'm not working, I'm earning money for my next trip to Dali. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!"

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with this B&B, especially the housekeeper – five-star rating! I had a great time chatting with her; she took care of everything perfectly. And the B&B's doggy ”staff member,” Little Burger, is super cute and cuddly! The decor feels very much like home. When you pull back the curtains on the panoramic French windows, you see the wetland park outside, which is a popular spot for photos – there were even people taking wedding pictures at the entrance. On New Year's Eve, we just drew back the curtains and watched the fireworks show directly from our room! The rooftop offers an absolutely stunning view of the sunset! And the cutest little dog in all of Dali, Burger! I truly love him; even three nights here wasn't enough. Overall, the stay was flawless. Renting a car made getting around very convenient. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserThe room was fantastic! I booked it specifically for the hot tub, which is on a small outdoor balcony. It gets plenty of sun and offers great privacy. But once I checked in, I was really impressed by the room's layout and decor. My favorite part was the washroom area. It's connected to the small balcony, but there are not only black blinds but also a curtain in between, which completely blocks the view from the opposite hotel, ensuring excellent privacy. There's also a curtain between the main room and the washroom, so you can fully enclose the washroom as a private space. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the curtains were excellent at blocking out light. We ended up sleeping in for two whole days! The toilet is a smart toilet, and the room comes with a smart speaker (Xiao Du). The projector screen is huge, making for a great viewing experience with the lights off at night. The lobby decor is also very tastefully done. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, quickly fulfilling any requests. They even help with luggage during check-in and check-out and offer luggage storage. After we left, we forgot something, and they messaged us to confirm. Most importantly, it's very close to the Ancient City, Sanyue Street, and the Cangshan Zhonghe cable car. The restaurants downstairs are also delicious! What a treat!

From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. JJovin_WongI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Location – unbeatable and worry-free The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free. Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse. What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue. The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎 Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Value – exquisite and worth every penny This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip. Final thoughts I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special. If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

The details are very high-quality, and you can really feel the thoughtful design. It's located in a quiet corner of the old city, making it convenient to get everywhere. Both the afternoon tea and breakfast were exquisite and offered a wide variety, making them well worth the price alone! The service was also exceptionally attentive; the front desk lady helped me carry my very heavy luggage up and down, which I felt terrible about. I just hope the owner hires a couple of strong people to help the ladies out, and I wish them all the best!

GGuest UserThis place truly made me feel at home. I arrived at the hotel starving after my business trip, heading straight into a solo vacation. The owner's father personally picked me up from the airport and even made me a warm bowl of noodles. The rest of my stay was wonderful. The room had an unbeatable location; I could see Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain the moment I woke up, and enjoyed both sunrise and sunset, plus the evening 'fish lanterns'. Reading, sunbathing, and feeling the breeze from Erhai Lake on the balcony – it was incredibly relaxing. The only downside was that the room was so comfortable, I barely wanted to leave to explore! The owner, knowing I was tired, even brought my takeout right to my room. I wish all hard-working people like them continued success!

CcharlottemomoThis past May Day holiday, I brought my family to Dali for a vacation ⛱️ and chose this South France-style guesthouse located in Haidong, where we stayed for 5 days. From the moment our trip approached, the guesthouse thoughtfully set up a chat group with a butler who updated us on the weather and reminded us to pack appropriate clothes. Upon arrival, they helped us with our luggage and kindly informed us about afternoon tea 🫖 and late-night dessert 🍮 times, which was very considerate. The guesthouse is located in Wenbi Village, a popular spot recently, and it's not too far from the airport, making the location quite convenient. Since the village is on a hill and parking spaces are scarce, the guesthouse arranged for our rental car to be parked at a nearby resident's lot and provided a shuttle service for transfers. Traveling with a child this time, his favorite part was the large bathtub. Every evening, he eagerly looked forward to a milk bubble bath 🫧, and he also loved the Basque cheesecake for afternoon tea 🍰. Perhaps also offer some parent-child interactive activities, like making flower cakes, which would be an even nicer touch. Also, the breakfast could be a bit more varied; after staying for several days, it got a little repetitive, haha. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!
