"The hotel is at the sixth floor of a building inside a compound. The check-in process was very smooth. The location is a bit far away from the main attractions but is close to the train station, and the view from the room is amazing. It is a pity that our stay was so short, but for us it is was a pleasure to have our breakfast delivered to our building with ******* and enjoy it in our room with the nice view. The service was very nice connecting us with a driver for the day, and offering tips around the area. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel."

"So many hotels by Erhai Lake in Dali, it was hard to choose! I didn't want to stay in the ancient city, so I picked the Pullman.
When we checked in, the hotel upgraded our room. The hotel's location is super convenient for food, accommodation, and getting around. Haiyan Restaurant is close by, and there's a fruit store right downstairs. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties, which was fantastic! The toiletries were L'Occitane Verbena series, and there was a Dyson hairdryer. After our room upgrade, they even gave us a seat reservation card for breakfast – truly top-notch service!
The private car service provided by the hotel was excellent. The car was new and clean, and the driver was very genuine and knowledgeable. He took us to a local restaurant with authentic specialties in Xizhou, helped us avoid tourist traps, and dropped us off right at the entrance of every attraction, saving us a lot of walking. I'm so glad we canceled the car service I booked on another platform.
Next time I visit, I'll definitely choose the Pullman again."

"This courtyard guesthouse is super close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, easily reachable in about five or six minutes on foot. It's really convenient for getting to Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. If you're not driving, besides taxis, there's also public transportation available. There's a direct shuttle bus to Cangshan, and you can take the C2 bus to Erhai. Dining options are plentiful and very convenient, right across from the main gate of the ancient city. The owner couple are very warm and provide excellent service. We're a family of three and chose the triple room, which was very spacious and we were extremely satisfied. Definitely worth choosing!"

"The room was absolutely fantastic! The bed was incredibly comfortable and soft, and everything was spotless. I was completely stunned when I drew back the curtains and saw the breathtaking, spectacular 180-degree sea view. There's also an observation deck on the seventh floor, but unfortunately, I checked in a bit late and didn't get enough time to fully enjoy the stunning scenery. What I loved most was definitely the bed – it was still a bit chilly in Dali at this time of year, but the duvet was wonderfully warm, unlike the stiff, cold bedding you often find in other hotels. Overall, a really satisfying stay!"

"We had an amazing time at Aranya resort. Had to booked this pretty last min cause the previous accommodation cancelled on us 1 week before the trip. The accommodation is located higher than ground level - which is only accessible by car. But you get a clear view of erhai lake. Room was big and spacious, with basic necessity included. Only drawback is no shelter from the time you alight the car to the room, and weather was erratic during our time there, hence there were times we got drenched."

"An absolutely delightful and highly recommended stay! This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 3-minute walk from the high-speed rail station, making getting around super easy. There are restaurants right downstairs, and it's close to Erhai Lake and the ancient city. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. I slept incredibly well all night, completely shaking off any travel fatigue. The front desk staff was fantastic – from check-in to check-out, the lady was so warm and patient, answering all my questions. She even proactively helped with my luggage and recommended nearby attractions. The attention to detail was truly thoughtful. It really set me up for an energetic day. "When I was choosing a guesthouse, I gave my friend two options. One was near Caicun Village, right by Erhai Lake. My friend is quite particular; she insisted on a place with a completely separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, so we ended up choosing this one. Honestly, as a family with dogs, we absolutely loved it here. Our two Shibas adored it! The two front desk staff members were incredibly enthusiastic, helping us with our luggage and giving us tips on Dali attractions. Both of our twin rooms were on the first floor, which was quite convenient and not noisy at all. There are two breakfast set menus to choose from, and you can order more if you're still hungry. On our last day, we woke up at 7:10 AM and went up to the 4th floor to watch the sunrise, which was really easy to do. One small suggestion: my friend mentioned that the communal restroom in the downstairs bar had an odor. They're quite sensitive to smells, and their room was right next to it."

"Extremely satisfied, so thoughtful! Dali indeed has many excellent hotels, but for this price, the design and location are incredible! Plus, breakfast is included! FFubohanI booked the glamping room with a hot tub and twin beds, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The guesthouse is right at the entrance to the ancient city, which made exploring and getting around super convenient. The whole place has an elegant and peaceful vibe, and it was exceptionally clean, making for a really comfortable stay. During the day, soaking in the hot tub while gazing at Dali's blue skies and white clouds was so therapeutic and relaxing. At night, it was incredibly romantic and cozy to unwind in the warm water while stargazing.
The bedding was comfortable, the service was attentive, and the room amenities were exquisite. This was by far the best accommodation during my trip to Dali! Highly recommend!!!

The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming, and there was even a cute little puppy named Hamburger keeping us company. My mom said the breakfast rice noodles were delicious. The only downside might be its proximity to the road; the large trucks passing by at night were quite noisy, which made it hard to sleep.

JJovin_WongI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Ancient Town Meishan Guesthouse, and it exceeded my expectations in every possible way.
Location – unbeatable and worry-free
The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

YYouyoudiliuliuAn Yu is truly a gem of a hotel. With so many accommodation options in Dali Old Town, I was feeling overwhelmed until I stumbled upon it, and it immediately caught my eye. The location is excellent; though it's just a few steps from the bustling pedestrian street, it's nestled in a quiet spot away from the noise. I stayed for two nights, and it was incredibly convenient for finding food—restaurants, cafes, and snacks galore.
The butler was exceptionally thoughtful. They added me on WeChat before check-in, provided important information, and confirmed transportation details.
Although the room isn't huge, it's fully equipped, and the attention to detail is impressive. The bath products were Le Labo Santal 33, my favorite brand and scent.
Breakfast was abundant, and afternoon tea was provided during my stay. Small snacks on the 3rd floor were also available for self-service, and in the evenings, there was sleep-aid milk or white fungus soup.
While it was a bit noisy facing the street, and I could clearly hear people talking, it became much better once the windows were closed.
What touched me the most was that on my last day, I had to leave for the high-speed train station at 7:30 AM, but breakfast only started at 8:00 AM. I had planned to buy some bread the night before, but the butler offered to prepare a simple meal for us. The next morning, they handed us a big bag with two boxes of sandwiches, a box of hard-boiled eggs, a box of blueberries and strawberries, and a travel mug. How incredibly thoughtful!
Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'll definitely try their hotels in other cities next time.

__APC502968****This time, my boyfriend and I traveled together and stayed for 3 nights. Because the same room type was fully booked, we had to change to an upstairs room on the second day. The owner was incredibly enthusiastic and always offered to help us move our large suitcases, they were so kind! One night, my boyfriend suffered from altitude sickness in the early hours, and I messaged the owner. They replied instantly and brought us an oxygen tank, constantly checking in on us, which was truly touching! The breakfast every day was freshly cooked and fragrant rice noodles. The room was also very spacious and clean. In terms of location, it's very close to Sanyue Street, great for shopping, and also close to the ancient city. You can even rent an electric scooter from the owner! There's also a billiard table downstairs for entertainment! I have to say it again, the owner is really, really nice!! I didn't actually take any photos of the hotel, but the environment is really good!

The owner's father personally picked me up from the airport and even made me a warm bowl of noodles. The rest of my stay was wonderful. The room had an unbeatable location; I could see Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain the moment I woke up, and enjoyed both sunrise and sunset, plus the evening 'fish lanterns'. Reading, sunbathing, and feeling the breeze from Erhai Lake on the balcony – it was incredibly relaxing. The only downside was that the room was so comfortable, I barely wanted to leave to explore! The owner, knowing I was tired, even brought my takeout right to my room. I wish all hard-working people like them continued success!
