The hotel's landscaping is also superb; the courtyard is shaded by lush trees and overflowing with beautiful flowers, making it feel like a tranquil garden. "Hygiene: The room was very clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient. The subway station is right outside, and there's a large mall directly behind the hotel – a food lover's paradise! The cleaning staff were also very considerate, taking guests' feelings into account.
Facilities: The disposable amenities provided were very comprehensive, and they even offered disposable alcohol wipes for the toilet seat, which was a thoughtful touch.
Environment: The hotel environment is very good, though it is a bit noisy, but I suppose most hotels have some soundproofing issues, so it's not a major problem. However, I requested a quiet room, and they certainly met that need, which was great!
Service: The front desk ladies were all very kind and enthusiastic, and they tried their best to fulfill any requests. I happened to be on my period during my trip, and the front desk staff kept boiling hot water for me, haha, I was so touched! I'll definitely be staying here again next time! 🥰🥰"

"Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether."

Staying in the children's themed room at Shangri-La Dalian with my little one was an absolute blast; the whole family was super satisfied!
The room decor was full of childlike fun, the cartoon theme really hit the spot for the kids, and exclusive children's amenities and small toys were all readily available. The attention to detail was incredibly thoughtful. My child shrieked with joy upon entering the room, making it completely stress-free for mom!
The hotel's children's play facilities are incredibly rich, and my little one had a blast, burning off energy all day, which was super convenient!
Adults can also relax well. The heated pool's water quality is excellent, and the hot tub is comfortable and relieving. We enjoyed both swimming and soaking, feeling incredibly happy 💦
Special mention for the heartwarming service! A big thank you to the lovely Yina for her warm and attentive service throughout, she was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Also, the housekeeping auntie kept our room spotless and tidy; her service was meticulous and caring. You can feel Shangri-La's dedication everywhere ❤️

"I want to give a super full score!
I booked a big bed room. The superb store helped me upgrade the family room. I was shocked when I entered the door. The whole area was at least 100 square meters. There was a square and spacious living room and oversized floor-to-ceiling windows. The 23rd floor overlooks the night view. Super beautiful
The decoration is high-end atmosphere and stylish. The whole house is smart home. It should be newly renovated in 24/25. The refrigerator, washing machine, toilet, and water heater are all new. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry.
The bedding is also great, the mattress is elastic and supportive, and the bedding is very clean
There was no bad smell in the whole house.
There is also a very important point! The floor heating is super powerful, the whole house is warm, and there is no need to cover the quilt at night.
This treasure of the south pay attention! In winter, you must pay attention to the heating problem in the northeast, otherwise it will be miserable.
Finally, it was a small problem. I searched the whole house and didn’t find disposable combs and dental appliances. Hahaha. Fortunately, I brought toothpaste and toothbrush, but I couldn’t find a disposable comb. It was quite embarrassing. I don’t know if the store forgot or it didn’t include it.

A 24-hour Lawson convenience store located right at the hotel entrance was a great bonus for any shopping needs. The front desk staff were friendly and patient, and the check-in process was very smooth. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. 👍👍"

Coming to Dalian, the best decision I made was choosing The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel! From the moment I stepped out of the car and saw the Bavarian-style castle perched by Xinghai Bay, I knew this trip would be unforgettable. It absolutely deserves a full five-star rating!
The location is simply a gift from heaven, nestled on the Lotus Mountain range, overlooking the entire Xinghai Bay. Xinghai Square, Asia's largest, is right outside, and you can walk to the start of Binhai Road. A stroll down the hill leads to Sun Asia Ocean World, making transportation incredibly convenient. The absolute highlight is the panoramic view; from the room, the sky garden, and even the restaurant, you can see the azure sea and the cross-sea bridge. During the day, it's a clear blue sky and ocean; at night, the bridge twinkles with lights. Every photo you take is guaranteed to go viral on social media. There are also adorable deer at the hotel entrance, and feeding them is super therapeutic – you don't even need to travel far to find an Instagrammable spot.
The castle guest room experience was exceptional! I decisively chose the deluxe sea-view room. The European palace-style decor is exquisite and elegant, with crystal chandeliers and vintage patterns exuding sophistication. The space is generous and airy. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows bring the magnificent mountain and sea scenery directly into the room. Waking up to the sea breeze in the morning and watching the cross-sea bridge lights twinkle before bed brought immense happiness. The bathroom features a scenic bathtub, so you can enjoy the sea view while soaking in a hot bath – simply delightful. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a superb sleep experience. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, with every corner spotless. The exclusive Luxury Collection amenities felt luxurious, and the high-speed Wi-Fi was consistently smooth, showcasing quality in every detail.
The dining options were diverse and delicious! The buffet at Collection All-Day Dining was incredibly impressive, with unlimited fresh local Dalian seafood, freshly grilled steak, teppanyaki squid, roast duck, Japanese sushi, and three flavors of crawfish. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. In the dessert area, the strawberry cheesecake and Black Forest cake were both visually stunning and delicious, making them irresistible. On the fifth floor, the Royal Beer House offers home-brewed German beer paired with authentic German cuisine – it's truly local. And the afternoon tea at the Royal Club on the twentieth floor is utterly romantic, overlooking the sea from the clouds, accompanied by exquisite pastries – time just slows down.
The service was thoughtful and attentive, with sincerity evident in every detail! Before check-in, the butler proactively communicated my needs and even helped arrange a room upgrade – super considerate. The front desk staff were warm and professional, making the check-in process highly efficient. They also provided detailed information about the hotel's art appreciation tour and surrounding attractions. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus up and down the hill, solving any walking difficulties, and 24-hour room service is available on call. The housekeeping aunties cleaned meticulously. Families with children have nothing to worry about; the kids' club lets little ones play to their heart's content, and the family-themed rooms are full of childlike fun, instantly fulfilling a child's princess dream.
The hotel's facilities are also perfectly appointed. The constant-temperature indoor pool has crystal-clear water, and the fitness center is fully equipped, allowing you to enjoy beautiful views while exercising. The spa services are professional, providing thorough relaxation for body and mind. Especially the staff at the front desk are very patient and enthusiastic. When I was using the computer downstairs at night, I found that some drunk guests were very rude. The young staff member Xiaogui Ning was very patient in explaining and guiding me! This is not easy! If you live near here, I highly recommend it! The TV can also project the screen, and I watched the S14 finals here!

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Exit D of 西安路(Xianlu) Station, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Right in front of the hotel, there’s a nightclub and a street lined with food stalls mainly frequented by locals. It gets lively at night. I stayed in a room facing the street, but since it was on the 6th floor, the noise from outside wasn’t too bothersome.
However, the soundproofing between rooms isn’t great. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic. Note that in some rooms, the bathroom isn’t fully separated from the rest of the space.
Two 500ml bottles of water were provided and replenished daily. Towels were replaced during daily cleaning, but it seemed like the sheets weren’t changed though that might be different for longer stays.
There’s no fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk to store things in their staff refrigerator if needed.
Foreigners can stay here without any issues. During my 3-night stay, there was a different staff member at the front desk each day, but everyone was friendly and helpful. They actively assisted me when I had any issues, and I’m really grateful for that.
Even if you don’t speak Chinese, using a translation app works fine. For basic things like check-in and check-out, you won’t need Chinese at all.

Firstly, as someone who worked in chain hotels for six years, I'm very particular about cleanliness. This trip, traveling with my child, I opted against a chain hotel (which I usually choose), fearing poor hygiene. But this place was surprisingly good! The views are fantastic, and my child was very comfortable. All the towels are disposable, and the quality is excellent, so there's no need to bring your own. Parking is also super convenient, and getting around with Didi (ride-sharing) was a breeze. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Dalian. I forgot to take photos though, so I can only use screenshots from a video.

MM…C…MAmazing hotel with a reasonable price. Room interior was very new and so beautiful. Toilet with bath tub and separate shower area and have all toiletries. Hotel staff were very good and helpful. At front desk no.8 front desk girl give us all support during our stay. JJazz~I liked this hotel , had all the basic amenities and services. The hotel is located only 5 mins away from Zhongshan square , the nearest metro station is line 2 exit D1 about 3 mins walk. Very Peaceful and friendly staff. Hotel has a mini bar and a mini mart on its ground floor. Friendship center is about 8 mins walk from the hotel. Overall affordable for students and solo travelers.
