"The room was spacious, and the hotel's location was fantastic, right near the bar street but with excellent soundproofing from outside noise. It was super convenient for grabbing food, and there were plenty of convenience stores nearby. The facilities were very comprehensive, even including a washer and dryer. The front desk staff (butlers) were incredibly responsive whenever we needed anything. And the night view was unbeatable!!! Highly recommend!!!"

"Having been thoroughly impressed by the food and service at the Horizon Club of Shangri-La Hotel on my last visit, I didn't hesitate to choose Shangri-La Chengdu again for this trip. Firstly, a big thank you to Ms. Lu, who was previously the Horizon Club manager and has now been promoted to Front Office Manager. Her warmth and helpfulness in securing a satisfactory room for us, along with complimentary fruit and local Sichuan snacks, and arranging a late check-out, set a wonderful tone for our entire journey. Strategically located near Jiuyan Bridge and the famous Lan Kwai Fong bar street, the hotel boasts a vibrant atmosphere and unbeatable night views. However, it's a bit of a distance from the nearest metro station. The Horizon Club's 'Happy Hour' offerings are incredibly diverse and plentiful, almost like a mini-buffet, with the cakes and desserts being particularly delightful. On the other hand, breakfast was relatively simple with fewer options. My beloved handmade steamed buns weren't as tasty as before, and they felt cold, possibly having sat out for too long, which affected the texture. I'm not sure why the brown sugar glutinous rice cakes (hongtang ciba) were soft throughout, lacking their usual crispy exterior. The Eggs Benedict were inconsistent; on the second morning, the egg was overcooked with no runny yolk, just a solid egg yolk, and the accompanying bread was unappetizing. Furthermore, the egg tarts were cold and not kept under a heat lamp, and the bread station seemed to lack even basic items like muffins, which felt a bit perfunctory. Restaurant management might need some improvement; during breakfast, I noticed a whole stack of plates still had water marks, indicating they hadn't been dried properly. Nevertheless, the service staff at the Horizon Club were excellent – friendly, courteous, quick to clear dishes, attentive to guests' needs, and particularly Ms. Liu Chun, the current Horizon Club manager, who was constantly busy, very dedicated and responsible. I also checked out the coffee shop on the ground floor. While the selection of dishes was indeed more extensive, it was also very crowded and noisy. The staff member who greeted us was still very enthusiastic despite knowing we were just looking around, though some other staff members appeared cold and unresponsive. Room service was excellent – very responsive and quick to fulfill requests. When they learned we needed to air out clothes, they thoughtfully brought a drying rack, which was a very considerate touch! Room maintenance was also good, with an automatic toilet and a Dyson hairdryer. The gym isn't open 24 hours; it closes after 11 PM, and guests cannot access it with their room cards after hours, which felt a bit restrictive for those wanting to work out later. In summary, this stay brought both joy and disappointment. I hope the hotel continues to improve and enhance its services, ensuring its long-term success and continued excellence."

"For our Chinese New Year family trip, after considering various aspects, we finally settled on this hotel's two-bedroom apartment suite. Location, transportation, room type, facilities, and the lounge (for easy, no-fuss dinners) were all important factors. Our actual stay exceeded our expectations and we were very satisfied! The room type is essentially two connecting rooms. One master bedroom has an en-suite walk-in closet, bathroom, and bathtub, while the other twin room is similar to a standard room. This setup was very convenient for a family staying together, ensuring both togetherness and privacy. The living room was large and bright. For a family like mine, traveling with two kids, including a 1-year-old infant, the self-contained kitchen equipment, refrigerator, and washing machine were incredibly useful and saw constant use! I'm so glad I chose the right hotel and the right room type! The combination of the hotel breakfast, executive lounge happy hour, and afternoon tea met our needs perfectly, especially with inconsistent meal times during travel and avoiding long queues at outside restaurants. It provided convenient meals that satisfied the whole family, from young to old. Over our four-day, three-night stay, aside from ordering takeout twice, we primarily ate at the hotel and didn't have a single meal out! The hotel's service was impeccable. Check-in, concierge, housekeeping, restaurant, and lounge staff all provided professional and friendly service. On the fifth day of Chinese New Year, the breakfast restaurant even gave everyone a gold coin chocolate, which was a lovely touch and very kid-friendly! Any requests for the room were quickly resolved with a call to the service center. A special thank you to Theresa for her thoughtful assistance. Next time we visit Chengdu, it will definitely be the Sheraton Chengdu Lido again!"

"convenient location with local eateries right downstairs, lots of small eateries too, train station is within walking distance of about 5 minutes. Hot water showering was a problem, unsure if it because of multiple users but one night me and my friend was showering in cold water during winter time so that wasn't great. otherwise room was clean, and hot airconditioning was good. the lavatory and shower is separate so 2 people can use toilet at the same time."

"My overall experience staying at this hotel was great. The room offered a fantastic view of Taikoo Li at night, which was absolutely stunning. The in-room sound system and the floor-to-ceiling windows created a very comfortable ambiance. The room was well-equipped, and they even offer a private butler service. 'Bread' was my butler, and they were incredibly helpful, even retrieving a package for me so I didn't have to leave my room – very satisfied! I also forgot my phone, and 'Bread' responded instantly. Big thumbs up and kudos to the butler for their enthusiastic service!"

The furnishings, amenities, and decor are all of very high quality, with a beautiful Chinese aesthetic that evokes a sense of peace and tranquility.
