The 29 boutique rooms feature various types of beds, including king-size, double, loft, and family rooms, offering comfort, warmth, and comprehensive amenities. Our stay in Beijing was truly a 5-star experience for the three of us, even with a language barrier. From check-in onward, the staff went out of their way to help—using translation apps, hand gestures, and constant warm smiles. Communication was never an issue because the hospitality felt sincere and thoughtful. One highlight we all loved was the free laundry service. After long days of walking and sightseeing, having clean clothes without extra cost felt like a real luxury and made our trip so much easier. We were also pleasantly surprised by the free snacks, always available and perfect for late nights or quick bites before heading out. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained—ideal for resting after busy days exploring Beijing. Overall, it was a generous, caring stay that exceeded expectations. We may not have spoken the same language, but the service spoke volumes. Highly recommended.

Located at the foot of the Imperial City in Chaodongli, east of the Forbidden City, this three-year project seamlessly blends cultural hotels, art spaces, trendy dining, and lifestyle experiences. It's not just a prime spot for urban getaways, but also a must-visit MiniMall that's young, trendy, artistic, and full of diversity. "Chaodongli Cultural Hotel" materializes the concept of "great seclusion in the city while forgetting its surroundings," allowing you to immerse yourself in the urban environment yet feel a sense of naturalness. The minimalist wabi-sabi-inspired room design creates a tranquil and bright space with the philosophy of "Less is more," delivering an immediate sense of physical and mental comfort. Adopting the ancient Chinese aesthetic principles of "greatness has no corners, greatness is achieved late, great sound is silent, and great form has no shape" as the hotel's room zoning, it harmonizes with the four cardinal directions and subtly aligns with an ancient Chinese aesthetic concept, aiming to promote natural beauty rather than artificial one.
Lovely hotel: - Rooms are beautifully furnished and look really pretty. - Staff is polite and, despite not speaking English, they’re well-prepared with translation apps. - Very comfortable bed. - Spotlessly clean. - Lots of food options nearby. - Conveniently located — just 2 minutes from Dongsi station. - I had requested a specific room configuration, and they kindly accommodated it. - They gave us a lovely Beijing magnet as a parting gift. A few minor downsides (but still a 5/5): - Not a lot of storage space if you’re staying for several days. - The bathroom door doesn’t fully close (it's a glass door and can't be locked) — probably a design choice, but not my favorite. - They offered complimentary breakfast to my friend who stayed at the same hotel (after I recommended it!), but not to us, even if we stayed longer and had booked a better room type. Not a real complaint — gifts are by nature selective — but I can’t deny it made me a bit jealous. 😅 I'll definitely book again when I go back to Beijing (which is an amazing city btw!)

I found the Grand Concordia Hotel to be a solid and well-rounded five-star property that caters effectively to both business and leisure travelers. Located in Beijing’s Chaoyang district, the hotel combines traditional elegance with practical amenities, making it particularly suitable for official visits, business travel, and longer stays. 📍 Location & Accessibility From my experience, the hotel’s location on Xiaoyun Road in Chaoyang District is one of its key strengths. Being close to several embassies, commercial offices, and popular areas such as Sanlitun and Solana made getting around relatively convenient. While it is not in the immediate city-center tourist zone, I found transport straightforward, with taxis readily available and metro access within walking distance. This location worked especially well for business-related commitments and appointments. 🛏️ Rooms & Comfort The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a calm and private environment after a busy day. The bed was particularly comfortable, and I appreciated the well-thought-out lighting and overall room layout. Amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a minibar added to the sense of convenience. That said, I did notice that some elements of the room décor and technology felt slightly dated. While everything functioned well, a refresh in certain areas would further elevate the overall experience. Nonetheless, the room met my expectations for comfort and cleanliness. 🍽️ Dining & Facilities The hotel offers a good range of on-site dining options, and I found the breakfast buffet to be varied and well-organized. The café and lounge areas provide comfortable spaces for informal meetings or relaxing in the evening. I also made use of the fitness and leisure facilities, including the gym and swimming pool, which were well maintained and easy to access. In addition, the hotel’s extensive meeting and event spaces clearly make it well suited for conferences, corporate functions, and formal gatherings. 🤝 Service & Staff Service throughout my stay was professional and courteous. Staff at reception and guest services were attentive and helpful, particularly during check-in and with general inquiries. While there were occasional minor communication challenges, these did not significantly impact my stay and were handled with patience and professionalism. 📊 Overall Value & Impression Overall, I felt that the Grand Concordia Hotel offers strong value, especially for business travelers or guests with embassy-related or professional engagements in Chaoyang. Its strengths lie in its location, room size, cleanliness, and comprehensive facilities. Although certain aspects of the hotel would benefit from modernization, the overall experience was comfortable, reliable, and well managed. 📌 Who I Would Recommend It For I would recommend this hotel for: • Business and diplomatic travelers • Guests seeking spacious rooms and full hotel facilities • Longer stays where comfort and practicality matter It may be less ideal if: • You are looking for a highly modern or boutique-style hotel • You want to be within walking distance of major tourist attractions • ⭐ Final Thoughts From my perspective, the Grand Concordia Hotel delivers a dependable and comfortable stay with a strong focus on service and functionality. While there is room for modernization, the hotel succeeds in providing a professional, well-maintained, and welcoming environment. I would consider staying here again, particularly for business or extended visits in Beijing.
I booked this hotel as it's very well located between the two airports and very well deserved by the tube in a very nice neighbourhood where you can truly see the everyday life of lovely Chinese people. Following the initial booking for a very nice room, there was an issue and tye management were so professional that they upgraded me for free to the executive suits which was absolutely stunning and beautiful and outstanding views of the whole city at the top floor. The room was spacious, and bathrooms were breathtaking. The management were very nice to me every time and even though they didn't speak English they were always trying to help. The hotel is located around many shops, restaurants and two Hugh malls located around changyiang metro which is direct to forbidden city and tianmen Square. I must admit that I stayed in the last few days but I ended up staying over 5 days because all the rooms are very large, with beautiful views and the breakfast is also very good. The overall impression is that Chinese management is always trying to help you. So, like me, if you are from Europe, do not book a Western brand and be courageous to book a Chinese hotel and experience their kindness and good hearth. I will give top grading to this hotel and will recommend it highly to all my European tourists.
