Everything was top notch and impeccable. The hotel was grand, clean and spacious with many luxurious notes from South East Asia. We used the outdoor pool with great facilities and went for a stroll. Rooms are nice and comfy too. The only drawback is it’s location. Close to Ocean Oark but that’s about all. MTR access requires a shuttle bus. No other shops or restaurants nearby. Etc

I had originally planned to celebrate my birthday and treat my family to a nice time, but due to a fumbling mistake on my part – canceling the reservation, being charged a late fee, rebooking, and then the hotel refunding the late fee penalty – this whole series of events left me feeling down during my birthday celebrations because of the unexpected charge. However, I was then incredibly delighted by the thoughtful service from the Marriott hotel. The Marriott hotel's restaurant, rooms, and surrounding environment are all fantastic! Thank you so much to Marriott and the platform for the pleasant surprise! From now on, I am a loyal fan of yours! Thank you very much!

After a good experience at L'hotel Nina et Convention Centre in Tsuen Wan, I decided to try The Southmark in Nam Wan. The hotel is only two subway stops from Admiralty Station, and while it's a bit of a walk from the station to the hotel, it's still acceptable. Getting to Causeway Bay is super convenient with a direct bus. The facilities aren't as good as the Tsuen Wan branch, but they're still decent. However, the service attitude was a bit of a letdown. We arrived around noon and were told our room wasn't ready and that check-in was in the afternoon. So, we dropped off our luggage and went out for lunch. When we returned at around 10 PM, we were given a 'tail-end room' (a less desirable room, often at the end of a corridor). When I asked to change rooms, the front desk agent adamantly refused, saying there were no other rooms available and that we only got this one because we arrived late. I was like, '***?!' We arrived quite early, so we should have been prioritized. After I firmly insisted, the front desk reluctantly swapped our room. On a side note, the 'Old Time' restaurant downstairs is delicious, and the croissants near the subway entrance are also surprisingly good.

Staying here for second time. The room was a bit old and the curtain doesn’t work well but as a solo traveler, it was ok. The door is not well soundproof. I would prefer the first time I stayed here. However, with this price in HK, I would say I am still ok with overall experience.

There’s a new playground for millennial explorers in Hong Kong, and it’s located at the new hotel the Arca. I prefer mainland China, but if you wanna endure HK's endless traffic and way-too-many traffic lights and dirty overcrowded subways, then I'll HIGHLY recommend The Arca - spotless rooms, nice cuisine, epic view of the harbour, great bed, awesome bathtubs, and properly spaced suites. Most impressive were the lovely staff, who weren't just friendly and always helpful, but wonderfully knowledgeable about everything the city has to offer, to the point where I felt I didn't have to consult any online app.

Such a pleasant surprise! ❤️ First, the room size really stood out. If you’ve stayed in mid-range hotels in Hong Kong before, you know space can be tight. But here, the room felt noticeably more spacious and well laid out. We had enough room for our luggage and could still move around comfortably without bumping into everything. It made a big difference, especially after long days out. The cleanliness was consistently impressive. The room was cleaned every single day, towels were changed daily, and even the slippers were replaced every two days. Everything always felt fresh and well taken care of. You can tell the housekeeping team pays attention to the details. The pantry area was simple but very practical. It wasn’t overdone or cluttered, just neat and useful. Everything was organized, easy to use, and kept tidy. It was great to have a clean and functional space to prepare quick snacks or drinks. And we really have to mention Sir Edward, the night manager. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. Always smiling, easy to talk to, and genuinely helpful. After a long day exploring, it was nice to come back to someone who made you feel welcome. That personal touch really made our stay even better. Overall, Urbanwood AP Lei Chau gave us great value for what we paid. Clean rooms, more space than expected, practical amenities, and warm service. We’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Although the window faces a cemetery, it actually offers a surprisingly green view amd philosophical view—quite rare in Hong Kong—with a very nice outlook toward the hillside residences. At check-in, one staff member initially requested that I upgrade to a larger room with an additional charge, citing Hong Kong policy. However, another staff member was much more accommodating and allowed us to remain in our original room, which was appreciated. The room itself was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and the shower facilities were in good condition. The bathroom is fully separated with a non-transparent solid wall—unlike many Hong Kong hotels that use semi-transparent glass partitions where the toilet area can be partially visible from the room. Wi-Fi was functional, although access to certain websites (such as ChatGPT and Claude) required a VPN. Using personal roaming data was a more cost-effective option compared to purchasing a local SIM card. Transport links are excellent. The hotel is about 20 meters from a tram stop, and a bus stop (including Bus 15 to The Peak) is roughly 100 meters away, located in front of a primary school. Taxis are easy to get, especially via Uber, and the hotel also provides a shuttle bus service. It is also within walking distance to Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, and QRE Plaza. Overall, a solid choice for location and convenience, with generally comfortable accommodations.

For Hong Kong, the room size is decent. The bathroom is a bit small, but not uncomfortably so for one person. Being on the 17th floor, it was very quiet, which I loved, and I slept really well! The front desk staff and restaurant servers were all very patient. On my first day, I checked in late and missed afternoon tea, but the front desk proactively suggested I could come back the next day after checking out and shopping to enjoy it, just by letting them know at the front desk. Breakfast was just okay, but filling. Oh, and the room comes with a universal adapter, which is a big plus!

Only stayed one night in Wan Chai and it was just right. Awesome central spot—minutes from MTR, Convention Centre, heaps of restaurants (loved the late-night food options), and easy access to everywhere. Staff friendly, check-in quick. Room felt fresh and quiet enough (good insulation for the district’s energy), bed comfy, fast Wi-Fi. City lights view added a cool vibe! Tiny note: streets are bustling (typical Wan Chai charm), so if your room faces out, it’s lively—but nothing disruptive. Perfect for a short, action-packed HK trip. Solid value and I’d return for another quick stop. Thanks!

The room was definitely spacious for Hong Kong standards. I booked the cheapest room type, and it was still a generous 30 square meters, which was enough for my stay. However, the 1-meter wide bed felt a bit precarious. There were plenty of food options around the hotel, and the location was quite convenient. Now for the things I wasn't so happy with: 1. As others have mentioned, the elevator transfers are a bit of a hassle, especially for floors 3-19. The elevators are quite slow, and you often have to wait a long time. 2. My room on the 28th floor had a strange-looking building visible from the window (see photo). I ended up keeping the curtains drawn for my entire stay. 3. The air conditioning in the room was quite loud. 23 degrees Celsius was too cold, but 23.5 degrees was too stuffy. I usually opted for 23.5 degrees, but even without a blanket, I still felt a bit stuffy at night. Then, in the morning, the AC would suddenly blast cold air and wake me up. 4. The conditioner was absolutely terrible. I seriously wonder if they just put body lotion in the bottle, as both had the same texture and smell. 5. The in-room Wi-Fi was quite unstable. Since I used various discounts, the room rate was less than 900 per night. For Hong Kong, I think this place is decent at that price point.

KkerkcheehowLocation: Just a 3-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit C. You can also take bus A11 directly from the airport. Environment: Clean and spacious rooms, which is considered quite large for Hong Kong. Amenities: Toothbrush, slippers, towels, hairdryer, shower gel, and shampoo are all provided. Staff: All staff members are polite and can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Overall, the room was quiet, the air conditioning was sufficiently cold, and the shower had good water pressure. I stayed for six nights and had a very pleasant experience.

LlamlllThe hotel is nestled at the foot of the mountain, offering a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of areas near MTR stations. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Central/Admiralty MTR stations, or a 6-7 minute taxi ride (around HKD 20-35). We were assigned a room on the 28th floor facing Central, and the view was absolutely stunning. We had a complete panoramic view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the US Consulate, the Peak Tram Terminus, Government House, and even the distant Bank of China Tower, Standard Chartered Bank Building, and IFC. The staff were all very warm, friendly, and accommodating. They even helped bring up our food deliveries to the room. The room cleanliness was excellent. The soundproofing, however, was average; we could hear louder noises from upstairs and next door. In the mornings, we could also hear the birds chirping from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens below. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but there was a kitchen available for cooking. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Compared to 5-star and 4-star hotels near MTR stations, this place offers a really good stay.

SSanfenrexieziI was traveling solo and only stayed for one night, so location was my top priority when choosing a hotel. This place is just a two or three-minute walk from the Yau Ma Tei MTR station, right on the street, and easy to find. The young man at the front desk was very polite, but the older gentleman next to him had a slightly gruff tone. The room itself was fine, aside from being small. For one person, this room type was just about enough, but for two, it would probably feel very cramped.

WWhere are the JacksWe are a family of four. Stayed for 6 days in their family room. Room size is big for Hong Kong standards at 28 square meters with two double beds. 4500 Pesos per night, great Value for money. Different themed floors and rooms. Greece, Africa, cozi penguins etc. It has a playroom for kids. gym and sauna, also a swimming pool, but it's closed, open during summertime or July. Service is great. Staff are all nice. Spoke to them in english and Mandarin. MTR and Bus are only in front of the hotel, or about 300 meters. Connected to V CITY MALL, and connected to other malls, tuen men plaza, tuen men park etc. all via connecting Bridge. You can take the 33AX bus going from and to the airport. Only cost 17 HK dollars. Oh we went to a local catholic church for the easter sunday mass. It's in front of V City Mall. MTR takes you everywhere in HK very convenient yet cheap because it's not your usual touristy area like Tsim Sha Tsui.

RRS JennyI stayed at this hotel for almost a week, and the service was genuinely excellent. One thing that stood out was how attentive the housekeeping staff were after a few days, they seemed to understand exactly how I preferred my bed and bedding arranged. Whenever that particular staff member cleaned our room, she made sure everything was kept just the way I liked it, which I found very thoughtful. The room, however, is significantly smaller than it appears in the photos much smaller, especially considering the price. That said, given that the hotel is located in Hong Kong, the size is somewhat understandable and not entirely unreasonable. The location is definitely a highlight. It’s literally about a two-minute walk to the tram, which I used frequently during my stay. This made getting around Hong Kong extremely easy and convenient. Compared to other larger hotels in the same area, this one is also relatively more affordable. In terms of cleanliness, there is room for improvement. On one occasion, after the room was serviced, my towel was replaced with one that was worn out, slightly damaged, and didn’t look properly clean. That was disappointing and not up to standard.

LLuna Blanca Ysmeralda⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great stay at Venetian Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui! The location is honestly one of the best things about it — it’s right in the center of everything in TST. There are so many food places just outside the building, so finding something to eat was never a problem. The MTR is also very convenient, only about a 2-minute walk from TST Station Exit D2, which made commuting around Hong Kong super easy. If you’re coming from the airport by bus, you can simply stop at bus stop #14 (Mirador Mansion), which is very close to the hostel. Another thing we appreciated was the housekeeping. They collect the trash every day, so when we came back our bins were already clean. They also changed our bedsheets and towels even though we didn’t request it, which was a really nice touch. Just a small tip: they sometimes offer room upgrades when you arrive, but you can always say NO if you want to stick with your budget. We stayed on the 13th floor, and that floor has a free water refilling station (which the other floors don’t have), so that was a big plus for us. The only downside is that the elevator in the building can be very slow, especially during busy hours. But overall, the stay was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Great option if you’re looking for a budget place in TST!

Bbb1979_2006I booked two adjoining double rooms. Though small, they had everything needed, and the hotel felt quite new and comfortable inside. It's located next to a highway, so there was some noise (rooms facing the small road on the opposite side would probably be quieter). I'd say the air conditioning unit was even louder. For breakfast, they offered one pastry and unlimited coffee refills. There was no bottled water in the room, and toiletries and slippers were not provided. It's about a 10-minute walk to Prince Edward MTR station. The value for money is much better than some of the older hotels.

BbeibeiloveseaComing to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊 At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food. The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserThis place is decent. The hygiene is pretty good, though the room is a bit small. That's understandable given that space is at a premium on Hong Kong Island. The price was great during the off-season, especially with fewer people around due to the typhoon. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. It was drizzling all day, and because of the typhoon, the MTR to Hong Kong Island was temporarily shut down. I tried to hail a Didi for ages in the morning; taxis didn't want to go out because of the typhoon, and Didi drivers were price gouging, asking for HKD 300 or even HKD 500. Some even accepted the order but never showed up and didn't cancel. It wasn't even that far. Finally, an uncle accepted the order and showed up in the rain, and he didn't even charge extra! I couldn't believe it, he was a truly honest person. The wind and rain weren't even that bad, and there were few cars on the road. I chatted with the driver; he spoke Cantonese, and we spoke Mandarin, but we could mostly understand each other. Older people are often more down-to-earth. The driver was over 50, born in Hong Kong, with ancestral roots in Guangdong. His daughter is still young. It's not easy for men to provide for their families. We arrived at the hotel quickly, and the fare was HKD 123. We gave the driver a 10 RMB note as a tip to thank him.
