The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel has a great overall ambiance, though its location is a bit inconvenient, being some distance from the MTR station. However, the front desk staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The dim sum and Chinese set meals at Jade restaurant were exceptionally delicious, and the service there was excellent. The rooms were also very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Reception staff not nice. Just assign a room for you and hand the key card without giving any helpful information. But can see them foreigner more attentive and polite. As we are first time here and don’t know the first number of the key is the tower no. (Hotel has 3 towers) so we need to ask other resident and get a bit lost to find the room. Room with good view and bed is comfortable. Cleaning staff are very kind. However, the main shower head is broken so for all 6 nights using the ceiling shower only. Its is closed to ocean park and MTR station so its convenient to reach HK island side. Breakfast is ok. Variety of food. But the last day of our stay we encounter rude female canteen staff (may be more busy day so seems not patient and grumpy towards elderly or children) overall other staffs are fine. Swimming pool is closed due to maintenance. Overall need to maintenance staff’s attitude and standard.

Traveling all the way from Changzhou, Jiangsu, it was my first time in Hong Kong, and I decided to give Nina Hotel Island South a try. To my surprise, I received a warmth that far exceeded my expectations. For the first two nights, I stayed in a Superior City Room. Although it didn't have an external window due to Hong Kong's urban planning, the room was spacious and bright. The ventilation system and air conditioning worked wonderfully, so there was no stuffiness at all. The king-size bed was large and soft; once I lay down, I didn't want to get up. I had a great night's sleep and a particularly comfortable stay. On the third night, due to my booking, I was moved to a newly renovated Superior Room. Upon entering, I noticed a rather strong renovation smell, and later, there was a minor issue with no hot water in the shower. I contacted the front desk just to see what they could do, and they immediately arranged a room change, which already made me very satisfied. What was even more heartwarming was that after we moved rooms, the Guest Services Manager proactively approached us and offered to upgrade us to a room with a balcony for ventilation – throughout the entire process, we hadn't asked for any compensation. This proactive consideration was truly unexpected and touching. We politely declined the upgrade and casually asked if they could offer us breakfast for four. The manager agreed without hesitation, saying, ”Absolutely no problem.” This unexpected thoughtfulness felt like a spring breeze, dispelling any initial apprehension. The hotel's service goes beyond just solving problems; it's about proactive empathy, and it made my first impression of Hong Kong exceptionally wonderful because of this warmth. Next time I visit, this will still be my first choice.

The hotel's location is quite convenient. I was thankful for the complimentary upgrade to a street-view room on my first day. However, that evening I found uncleaned items left on the bedside table. When I contacted the front desk, they simply sent a housekeeper without any apology. Even after contacting the hotel through Trip.com, there was no resolution! The next morning, I found more uncleaned items on the floor. When I contacted Trip.com again, the hotel's response was that I should go directly to the front desk with any issues, and they offered no apology because I had received a room upgrade! When using the hotel shuttle, there was no concierge staff to help load luggage or coordinate seating. Overall, it seems the hotel, which hosts many international guests, is not very friendly to domestic visitors. Hotel cleanliness should be a key indicator. I appreciate Trip.com's help in coordinating and addressing issues during my stay!

I often visit Hong Kong, and this time I chose to stay at the Emperor Hotel. The surroundings are very quiet, and there are many foreign guests staying here. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service. Inside the hotel, there are posters for concerts by artists under Emperor Entertainment Group, which is really cool. It's a great hotel, I'm so pleased with this wise choice, thumbs up! 👍

I have visited Hong Kong many times and stayed at a wide range of hotels, but my experience at Urbanwood Hotel truly stood out because of the exceptional service from the front desk staff, Benson. From the moment I arrived, Benson was incredibly friendly, warm, and approachable. He was very talkative in a pleasant way, making the check-in process not only smooth but also genuinely enjoyable. His professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding, and it was clear that he takes his job very seriously while still making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Honestly, Benson provided the best front desk service I have ever experienced, even compared to all the hotels I have stayed in before. His positive attitude and excellent service left a very strong impression on me and made my stay at Urbanwood Hotel even better. I would like to sincerely commend Benson for his hard work and dedication. He is a true asset to the hotel, I would definitely choose to stay here again because of staff like him.

Overall, the value for money is decent. For Hong Kong, getting a room of this size and bed dimensions at this price is acceptable. However, the hotel is a bit dated. The sink looks old, the coaster was a bit dirty, and there was grime in the crevice of the desk drawer pull. I understand the eco-friendly initiatives – bringing my own toothbrush and toothpaste, and no complimentary bottled water, are fine. But the room isn't cleaned by default unless you hang a sign on the doorknob, which is a bit inconvenient. I didn't even notice this sign initially, and it wasn't mentioned during check-in. Plus, you have to hang it out before 10 AM. I only discovered this rule when I returned on the second night. Alright, fine, I can accept not changing towels, sheets, pillowcases, or even bath towels, but at least empty the trash can, right? If they don't clean at all, they should definitely inform guests during check-in. On the day I left, I saw a multi-legged bug crawling in the bathroom. Luckily, I'm used to roughing it, so I just ignored it. Oh, and there was no hand soap, just body wash. The air conditioner was also very loud; good thing it was winter, so I just turned it off when sleeping. It would be unbearable in summer. I'd also suggest updating the curtains. I support being thrifty and environmentally conscious, but attention to detail is still important. Even budget hotels in mainland China's first-tier cities have better attention to detail than this place, at a third or even a fifth of the price. They did give two dining vouchers for Wah Sing Cafe, which are worth 82 HKD each, so that makes up for some of the shortcomings.

January 11-12, 2026 - Hong Kong's popway Hotel in Wan Chai. Stayed for one night for the convenience of shopping in Causeway Bay. In Hong Kong, the transportation here is quite convenient, not far from the subway station, and there are many dining options around. It's best to ask for directions using the street number from different subway exits, as map navigation isn't always accurate. The accommodation environment is very average; the room is too small for three beds, making it quite cramped. However, the bathroom is spacious, and the layout is decent. The service attitude was good.

GGuest UserLocated in Wan Chai, the hotel boasts a great location and has been recently renovated. The room isn't huge, but it's fully functional and doesn't feel cramped for two people; it's quite comfortable. The soundproofing in the room is also good. One thing I couldn't quite understand is why, during the renovation, they didn't update the charging outlets to be more universal. I still needed an adapter for my Apple devices, and it was easy to accidentally hit the switch, which would stop the charging.

GGuest UserThis hotel definitely exceeded my expectations! For a price over HKD 1,000, I was expecting a tiny room in Hong Kong, but to my surprise, it was a suite. It had a living room with a sofa, coffee table, and dining table, and the bedroom had a super large bed. Plus, all the details in the bathroom were very clean. The hotel staff were very nice, and their Mandarin was good. Breakfast was semi-buffet style, where you could order one set meal, and all four I tried were delicious. You could even see parrots flying outside the window while having breakfast. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its convenient location. It's about two bus stops from Admiralty Station (or walkable, really), a 200-meter walk from the Peak Tram Macdonnell Road Station, and within walking distance of Hong Kong Park and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThis hotel is located in the bustling Yau Ma Tei district, very close to popular attractions like Mong Kok and Victoria Harbour, making transportation incredibly convenient. You can take the A21 Citybus directly from the airport, and the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. There are numerous 7-Eleven stores and Mannings pharmacies nearby, as well as many cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style cafes) for dining options. Victoria Harbour is a straightforward two-kilometer walk away, and the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station is also just 1.5 kilometers on foot, passing by the Instagrammable Old Yau Ma Tei Police Station on the way. The hotel facilities are new and very modern. There's a coffee machine in the lobby offering complimentary coffee in the mornings. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team are very friendly.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself is located in a relatively quiet corner of the TST hot spot near the ISquare/Harbour City, it is relatively hard to miss the impressive front door of the black marble looking exteriors. Check-in is Very smooth, cash deposit are required but easily done. For the first time staying of this hotel i’ve requested a higher level room and a quiet corner, which happens to be 11th (top level except roof common area). Room is as advertised ,very spacious and clean looking (typical wear and tears of material aging is expected but doesn’t looks gross). for visitors that enjoys their own balcony view it is better to ask ahead if the room assigned has it, for me although it was a room that didn’t which is fine, but the eye catch is the toilet - bath tub and the shower is separated which allows flexibility for both type of bath time enjoyers too, those whom need longer stays and/or like taking long bath in a tub will enjoy the big tubs, but the overhead ceiling shower is just as great for morning refreshers. bed had its own smaller TV screen with wall mounted extend arms for lazy watching which is great if you’re relaxing while enjoying the Victoria harbour view from the window, but also a living room bigger tv , although the downside is sometimes the remote will controls both units at the same time, so nighttime tv bingeing becareful of volume bursts from a different tv. room air conditioning is room self-controlled - the panel is right next to the main TV so for travelers that is sensitive to temperature differences is a plus, as you don’t have to worry centralized air con streaming cold airs in cooler days or during sleep, you had the control at your own hand. only things that may be worth considering is that the room is wood tiled - occasional cracks from old tiles misaligned can occur when you step on it so if your roommates are light sleepers and prone to awakening from noises, that could be a problem. also while unfortunate as it is during festive times and beyond hotel controls, noise can be excessive if there neighboring room(s) are booked by party goers or occupants had returned drunk. as the hall noise is very auditable. security is standard where after 6pm it requires your room keycards to access lifts and the hotel doors as well. A small but noteworthy point is the gym at 6th floor and their rooftops- technically on the 12th floor, the roof is a fairly open area with a limited but still great view of the Victoria harbour amidst the neibouring buildings that is 2-3 rows away from the harbour side. while not certain is it remained open overnight as long as accessing with keycards, it is great for the city view. however not recommended for people with Fear of heights- as glass barriers are only to waist levels that can be easily lean over. also the rooftops lift indicator is not as visible/auditable while waiting for it arrivals, so if the single lift that can reach the rooftop is out of services it may become unavailable , or if unlucky you might be locked out. overall it is a surprisingly fair price but great accommodation choices, while noise concerns can be servere if you happen to be unlucky when other floor occupants go berserk, but surrounding areas noise is not intense even it is next to Kowloon Park Drive intersection ramp just 1 block away.

PPositivelyUWe had a fantastic time at the Grand Bay View! The room was cosy and clean, but the real star was the view—sunrise over the beach was spectacular. The location is perfect; you can walk down to the beach in seconds. The free shuttle to the MTR is a great perk, but the real money-saver is Bus A38 right outside. It takes you directly to the airport for only 20 HKD (much cheaper than a taxi!). The staff were lovely and even lent us a plug adapter when we realised the sockets were different, as well as an iron and an ironing board. Just a heads-up: they don't provide free bottled water, toothbrushes, or daily towel changes unless you ask. Also, we weren't fans of the on-site restaurant, so we ordered in. But honestly, the kitchenette in the room was perfect for making our own tea and coffee. Highly recommend for the views and value!

GGuest UserTwenty years ago, when I first visited Hong Kong on a tour, I stayed at the Rambler Garden Hotel next door. Back then, this entire complex had just opened, and this area wasn't even on my Hong Kong friend's new map. From my room, I could see the Stonecutters Bridge under construction and the container terminal below. Back then, we had bulky CRT TVs on the windowsills; now, there are flat-screen TVs mounted on the walls. The hotel is very clean, and housekeeping is prompt and thorough. The room is quite small, which is typical for Hong Kong. The wardrobe and other furniture haven't been replaced in twenty years, and some pieces are showing wear and tear. The mini-fridge, which used to be under the wardrobe, is now on the windowsill. The nightstand, previously between the two beds, has been moved to the side closer to the bathroom. Some of the worn areas definitely need timely repairs. Tsing Yi is a relatively secluded island, and as one of only two hotels here, transportation relies on minibuses 88F and 88G plus the MTR, which is reasonably convenient. Because of its somewhat remote location, the big advantage is the excellent value for money. For the same price, hotels in areas like Jordan or Central would be even smaller and lack any cabinets or chairs. WeChat Pay and Alipay are widely accepted in many places, though a few smaller shops still hold out, accepting only cash. All three meals can be had at the Café de Coral restaurant on L1. There's also a convenient ParknShop supermarket where you can top up your Octopus card at the checkout. On L1, you'll also find a Bank of China (Hong Kong) ATM. You can withdraw Hong Kong dollars directly using any UnionPay debit card; it automatically converts the currency, and I found the exchange rate to be quite good at 0.88. There's a flat fee of HK$10 per transaction. Twenty years ago, the hotel used to sell Disneyland tickets. Now, it's so easy to buy tickets online via mobile, so that service is no longer offered. That's all I can think of for now. Time to rest.
