I stayed here for one night without meals. There are restaurants nearby, and even if you miss the scheduled time, there are some chain restaurants that are open 24 hours a day, so it's a good option. The hotel has a nice atmosphere that feels like it's worth the price, and the overall feel is a bit dated. I stayed here, and it may have just been the room, but the sewage smell in the bathroom was pretty strong. It wasn't a problem when I was taking a bath, but the sewage smell was noticeable when I was using the toilet or washing my face, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people who are particular about cleanliness or who like their bathrooms clean... (There wasn't any mold or anything, just the awful sewage smell.) Otherwise, the front desk responded quickly when I contacted them around 4pm, which was nice. I recommend this hotel for people who have business in the area, don't want to stay long, don't want to stay in internet cafes, and want to keep costs as low as possible!

I checked in on December 29th. The room rate was over 1000 RMB, but the service, facilities, and breakfast were only at the level of a Hanting Hotel – not worth the price. After New Year's Day, the price dropped to around 300 RMB. I wonder if Ctrip is taking advantage of loyal customers. When choosing hotels on Ctrip for outbound travel, compare prices for the next few days. If the difference is too large, check several platforms. This hotel isn't worth over 1000 RMB; you could choose one under 400 RMB.

The facilities are great, especially the tatami mats, and the shower pressure was excellent. The only minor downside was the 10 AM checkout. Unfortunately, my family caught the flu and had a fever of over 40 degrees. Luckily, I brought medicine, but they still needed to rest. I had to pay for an additional 5 hours, at 1100 yen per hour, for an early check-in and late checkout. It was a lifesaver that they allowed us to pay for the extra time; otherwise, I don't know what we would have done. Tsukiji Market is right downstairs, but the subway is a bit of a walk, usually more than 8 minutes. Overall, it's great value for money.

The location is fantastic, though it's a bit pricey and doesn't include breakfast. Other than that, everything was good. We opted for the eco-friendly cleaning service. You get one bottle of water per day. The air conditioning was incredibly quiet, absolutely no noise at all. There's a bathtub, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The Wi-Fi was quite fast. They offer Chinese-speaking service, and self check-out is available. Many foreigners choose to stay here.

I stayed for a total of five nights in a twin room with two single beds. On Valentine's Day, the price was 1086 RMB, which was quite a premium, as other nights were in the hundreds, with the cheapest being just over 500 RMB. The room was 26 square meters, which is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was large and convenient for washing. The foot massager was great for relieving foot pain and fatigue, and each room had one. The room was perfect for two people, just the right size. My child and I found the location very convenient, with both the Seagull Line and Rinkai Line available. It's a four-minute walk to the hotel, and you can quickly reach all the places you need to go by subway. Dining options nearby are also convenient, with many restaurants. The hotel's restaurant next to the elevator on the first floor offers good dinner options worth trying. There's a Lawson on the second floor where you can pick up a delicious breakfast. In the middle of our stay, we went to Enoshima and Hakone for a few days. We stored our luggage at the hotel for free for five days, so we only had to carry a simple backpack with a change of underwear. It felt very convenient. Changing clothes in winter is less frequent than in summer, and traveling by train was very easy. Most hotels have washing machines and dryers, which is also very convenient. No need to drag luggage around everywhere. The hotel storing our luggage was so helpful! Both check-in and check-out were self-service at machines, which was also quite convenient. There's also an airport shuttle bus; you need to book a spot in advance if you want to be dropped off at the airport. Taking the subway yourself is also convenient. There are many buses next to the International Exhibition Center subway station, which can also be used for transportation.

The location was convient and close to the airport. We took a tax since we arrived late at night, the expenses was acceptable. Then it was walking distance to the market and Ginza, as we are used to walk around a lot. The room was well designed and clean, fit two suitcases easily. The cleaning service was very nice. Convient store everywhere. I had to use laundry outside the hotel since all the four machines were occupied in the hotel. It was only  a few minutes away. I also shopped at a local super market and got a super fancy bento box. Really enjoyed it. The coffee machine in the room was a bonus. After we checked out, it was one bus trip to the Tokyo station right in front of the hotel. Definitely recommend the hotel.

I stayed in Ginza for a day as a transit stop after landing, and the bed was great; I slept soundly until morning. I had dinner at Hokuto Wagyu downstairs, but it wasn't great value for money. The most expensive set menu was ¥3980, and the portion of beef for two was tiny. The ¥1000 special lunch set was acceptable for the price, but the meat quality was very ordinary. The discounted sashimi from OK Supermarket was excellent; I got a fantastic meal for just 100 RMB. I tried the beef bowl at Tsukiji Market downstairs, but the beef had a strong ***** taste. The offal bowl had a very heavy bean paste flavor that I couldn't get used to. The market itself is mostly tourists, so it's worth a quick look around, but that's about it.

KkhosodaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. VvjongThe location is very good. Very close to subway, JR and Shinkansen. Many restaurants and shopping in the area including a very famous ramen downstairs. The room is clean and the onsen is as great as usual but a little small. Another issue is there is only 1 lift so it could take time to wait for lift. I did not enjoy the free ramen at night but I have no reason to question its quality! Overall, great value for money!

There’s a FamilyMart, AEON, and many delicious and reasonably priced restaurants nearby. You can walk to Tobu Department Store every day for shopping. The hotel offers a welcome drink available anytime, and there is a separate onsen for men and women. In the evening at 6:00 PM, there is a free happy hour with drinks—perfect for alcohol lovers. My husband really loved it. The amenities are also of good quality. If I visit Japan again, I would definitely choose to stay here—the price is very reasonable too.

The rooms were super clean and staff was really friendly and helpful. 7/11 is right downstairs in the basement level so you didn’t have to leave the hotel which is a plus especially early morning when everything doesn’t open until 11. GGuest UserShinjuku Granbell Hotel was my accommodation choice during this Tokyo Shinjuku trip. Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel. The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking. Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). For someone who enjoys walking, it’s manageable, but dragging large luggage or walking in the rain might feel a bit inconvenient. In short, the location is highly central and vibrant, but it’s not quite “step out the door and you’re at the station” level. Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch. Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue. In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

CCN_NanaThe facility was great in general. Except you cant stay over the day its just for sleeping, showering and then you can leave it ln daytime, leave your stuff, as they clean and restrict the sleeping area. Otherwise it was kind of an all inclusive experience and did have a clean and nice washroom, as well as all round service. But it was a bit loud in the morning, the cleaning stuff rummages around exactly in front of the bed, talking, making noise cleaining beds 2 hours before check out.
