Where do I start! Was in regular contact with IStay prior to my visit and the company responded quickly and appeared very helpful HOWEVER on the morning of arrival, when I had a party of 9 for my husbands 60th birthday I was responsible for, I was moved from a 4 bed/4 bathroomed luxury apar**ent, of which the photos looked fabulous, to a 2 bedroomed, unequipped, filthy dirty, unsatisfactory 2 bedroomed, with only 4 seats for up to 11 people to fight over, no binds at some of the windows etc etc, due to alleged damage in the 4 bed apar**ent, . This turned out to be a completely fabricated story and we have since been advised that the 4 bed has been managed by a completely different company for months and has no damage currently whatsoever. I-Stay have left their own review, and I quote "At iStay Liverpool we strive to give you an unforgettable experience when visiting Liverpool with our top specification accommodation"......it was certainly an unforgettable experience but not in a positive way sadly! And if this is their top spec accommodation, I'd hate to see their budget accommodation! We contacted IStay on arrival to ask for various basic utensils/equipment to use, such as a plug for the sink or a bowl, a clean towel in place of the grimy stained one etc and were promised housekeeping would be sent round, however, they never came and since our visit, IStay are no longer responding to me whatsoever and have not returned my deposit some two weeks later, despite me leaving the apar**ent cleaner than when I arrived as I didn't want to be held to account for the way we found it, even though we thankfully took plenty of pictures evidencing the state of the place on arrival. I was, and still am, so upset that my husbands birthday weekend turned out this way and I'm also upset to think that anyone can live with their conscience doing this to anyone else. It was absolutely appalling and I have attached a small selection of photos to give an idea of the standards I'm referring to. Awful on every level :(
