Hands down, this is a very lovely hotel and is the most glittering gem in Guangzhou. - nice and sleek interior design that puts it on the pedestal in the same league; - squeaky clean and spick and span; - very comfortable bed that you are mollycoddled, from the very first moment you hit the sack; - quiet and reclusive, and the modern life and vibrancy is a stone's throw away; - Facilities just as described, almost brand new, wonderful. Simply the best accommodation!

Our recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou, was nothing short of exceptional, truly epitomizing luxury and personalized service from the moment we arrived. Stepping out of our vehicle around 1:30 PM, we were immediately greeted by welcoming staff, setting the tone for a flawless experience. The check-in process was remarkably swift, followed by a dedicated staff member personally escorting us to our room and thoughtfully highlighting all the amenities—a truly elevated touch. Our children were absolutely thrilled with our family panda-themed room, complete with an exciting slide! It instantly became their favorite part of the hotel, bringing endless joy and laughter to our stay. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, nestled directly beside Taikoo Hui and just down the street from several other major shopping malls. This prime spot made exploring and indulging in retail therapy effortlessly enjoyable. Within the hotel, right by the entrance, lies a beautiful café – a perfect spot that clearly attracts many sophisticated patrons for high tea, and for good reason. All the cakes are exquisitely crafted, miniature works of art that are as delightful to behold as they are to taste. Our package included breakfast, which was a delightful spread. Beyond the standard international offerings, we were particularly pleased to find wonton noodles being served – a delicious nod to the local Cantonese cuisine, and a truly authentic touch that we thoroughly enjoyed. What truly elevated our experience was the outstanding staff. They were incredibly friendly and engaging, personally interacting with our children, passing them thoughtful door gifts, and even taking the time to write a lovely card and pose for a photo with our little one. This genuine warmth made us feel incredibly valued. As expected with a family-themed room, the kids were showered with special touches. They received their own lanyards with room access, delightful welcome desserts including cakes and candies, fresh fruit juice, and a selection of fruits. These thoughtful details made them feel incredibly special and truly enhanced their stay. From arrival to departure, every detail exceeded expectations—starting with our Deluxe Twin Room being upgraded to a stunning Canton Tower view suite for my birthday celebration. ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST HOTELS WE HAVE STAYED AT. Booked premier suite (has canton tower view). Our suite was on the corner of the building. Everything was clean and spotless. All the furniture for once doesn’t feel like IKEA furniture (dining table and couches). Had one car service included free as part of our stay, used it for airport pick up, hotel initially booked sedan but when I said we had a lot of bags the hotel upgraded us free to luxury EV van. Breakfast included part of our booking, breakfast was amazing, buffet and a la carte options. The ceilings of our suite were very high and it felt very like New York penthouse vibe. The design was amazing and aesthetically pleasing. The bathroom sinks were made of what looked like solid marble. Welcome fruits and every afternoon warm canto dessert soup. Everything in room was electronic/smart controlled from the blinds to the do not disturb. The staff all use WeChat also so if you need anything you can just message. All in all was a perfect stay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an elevated experience in the heart of the city.

Staff is attentive with service and baggage. Location is a little hidden. Had DiDi drivers miss the entry a few times. Gym and Pool facilities are small and the hours for the pool aren’t that great as it closes early at 10PM. The pool is one of the spots in the hotel that has a direct view of the Canton tower apart from the main lobby, sucks not being able to see it from the other rooms or even from the gym which is opened 24 hours. Also gym is a little small. Also found that cleaning services was less attentive by the last day. Some toiletries weren’t replenished the same way they were the previous days.

The hair dryer is very poor and heavy. Girls with long hair have to hold it to dry their entire hair and their hands are tired. Other services and environment are very good. It is suitable for weekend rest. I will go there again if I have the chance! I hope to change the hair dryer next time🫣
