We received warm welcome. Overall excellent service from hotel staff to the restaurants. We had a happy and enjoyable stay at the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree. Highly recommend this place.
After staying at the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree for 3 nights, we went on to stay at the Shanghai on the bund Bayan Tree. We experienced a stark contrast in service from the front desk staff from the bund Banyan Tree. We wondered why they kept stopping us from getting into the room that we have booked for. In the end, we went through changing 3 rooms before they finally gave us the correct facing room. So, beware of the Shanghai on the Bund Banyan Tree and do not believe in the free upgrade or upsize room. We rejected the first corner room only to be given another corner room at the other end that were both warm and uncomfortable. The staff kept assuring us that they were bigger rooms and better view than the Panorama Riverside Retreat-King room that we have booked for but we want the room that we have booked. Why can't they give us the right room in the first place and have to made us go through changing from one room to another. A clear dishonest play here.
We missed the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree front desk staff.

I was on a business trip to Hangzhou and wanted to relax for a day by myself. I booked the Mushou Hotel recommended by a friend. I really loved the feeling of the misty Jiangnan. The hotel facilities were very good, the atmosphere was great, the butlers Caryton and Clark were very considerate, and helped me book restaurants, spas, and rowing boats. It was a great experience

Our party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024. We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting. We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in. I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops. Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us. Not a soul was in sight. Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed. From there on, however, things only got better and better. So, yes, this was a quiet property. There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about. But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected. And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient. During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out. The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand. Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance. The layout was a bit of a labyrinth. There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display. Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake. The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards. Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?). They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night. There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater. Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds. Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace. Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel. Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular. We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip). We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable. In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area. In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort. We were very comfortable during our short stay. We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff. We would love to return. It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions. Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand.
I would say some things for improvement are as follows:
Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here.
Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left!
Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated.
The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better).
The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on
携程 (Ctrip) or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better.
The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels.
PS , I cannot upload my videos of the boat trip inside the hotel's lake because the file is too big :'(

A very distinctive hotel. The environment is quiet, the rooms are large, and the decoration is Chinese style, which is very grand. I booked 2 rooms of the same price, but the room layouts are completely different. I asked the housekeeper, and the housekeeper said that each room type of Zixuan is different. The housekeeper service is very thoughtful, especially when checking in, the room introduction is very detailed. Dinner was eaten at the hotel's Jiexianglou (one Michelin star, two black pearl diamonds), which was fine except that it was expensive. The hotel's breakfast is very rich, with Chinese, Japanese, Western and other set meals to choose from, which are thoughtful and rich. We are a family traveler, and Zixuan's environment, food and thoughtful service make the elders and children very satisfied, so it must be highly praised!

Facilities: The innovative upgrade based on the old building, the ”Shui Zhixinju” brand created is a breakthrough of Shangri-La in Hangzhou, boldly taking the top luxury route, relying on the confidence of hardware and service.
The entire hotel public area and room design are consistent, focusing on the exquisite maximalism of oriental flower language.
Service: It feels that from the housekeeper to the restaurant manager to the bartender by the lake, they are all e-people, very fond of chatting, and have strong communication skills. The housekeeper Sam solved the small problems encountered on the day of check-in from the perspective of the hotel guests. Because it was a birthday celebration, the hotel also carefully prepared Basque. There is a night bed and West Lake special lotus root powder.
Breakfast: Semi-self-service, with Western, Chinese, and Southeast Asian styles to choose from. The fruits in the self-service area are the highest specifications of the hotel in recent years, and the homemade juice and croissants are also good.
Bar: The introduction of the Temple Front Three You in Asia's Top 50 has attracted many guests who come here to drink two glasses. The cocktail with special white wine and rice wine as the base wine was drunk four glasses in the evening.
Afternoon tea: It's average, but the environment is nice.

The Amanfayun (Hangzhou Fayun Anman) lies hidden in a valley to the west of West Lake. The 20-minute drive from the center of Hangzhou takes one along densely wooded bamboo and tree-lined avenues, past the botanical gardens and inner waterways of West Lake, to the temples and village of Tianzhu. The resort and its surrounding tea fields lie just beyond Tianzhu, below North Peak and adjacent to Lingyin and Yongfu Temples, occupying an area of 14 hectares. Access to Amanfayun's Reception House is via a narrow roadway that is bordered by thick forest and groves of bamboo.Housed in a complex of buildings, some of which have a 100 year history, all rooms are unique and feature underfloor heating, air conditioning and Internet plus domestic and international direct-dial phones, umbrellas, hairdryers, safes, coffee/tea makers, mini bars and refrigerators. Ipod/iPhone docks and televisions are available on request. Furniture is inpired by classic China and given an updated twist. Most accommodation units are open to private or semi-private courtyards with informal outdoor dining and lounging areas. The Restaurant is tucked away behind a grove of evergreens and offers picturesque views. This is the only outlet which serves Western cuisine. The menu features a number of classic international dishes, in essence offering guests finely-crafted comfort food. The Restaurant also houses the Bar which is suitable for informal dining throughout the day as well as pre- or post-dinner drinks. The Amanfayun's Aman Spa consists of five separate buildings surrounded by bamboo groves, tea bushes and Magnolia trees. The Spa offers eight treatment rooms, a reflexology room, a fitness centre, a room dedicated to tai chi, yoga and meditation, and a Finishing Salon. Massage and body treatments draw from traditional Chinese massage and reflexology, as well as from ancient Asian healing therapies. The Finishing Salon provides hair spa treatments, manicures, pedic

West Lake State Guesthouse in Hangzhou is the official designated hotel where the Chinese state leaders met and hosted state dinners with foreign heads of states during the G20 Hangzhou Summit and the BRICS Leaders Meeting. Nestled between the mountain and the lake, it covers an area of 360,000 m2 and a lake shoreline of over 2000 meters. All the famous tourist attractions of Hangzhou are within 30 minutes’ drive of the hotel. He stayed in the hotel for a grand total 27 times, giving this place special historic significance. Prominent foreign political figures and celebrities including former US President Richard Nixon and former South African President Nelson Mandela have both stayed here. The hotel has witnessed important historic events. For example, the octagonal pavilion here was where the China-US Joint Communiqué was initialed. The hotel is elegant in style. Rooms are luxurious yet cozy with great views. The hotel is also known for hosting state dinners. For successive years Ziwei Hall has been ranked among the Top 50 Chinese Restaurants. The location is beautiful, one the best locations I stayed, the other one is the Zhejiang Xizi Hotel, which is also on the bank of the West Lake and a national guest house (used to be?). The garden is in a perfect harmony with the hotel buildings, which are of the ancient Chinese style. It is a great pleasure walking around the garden in the morning. The ground, halls and rooms are very clean and well decorated with plants and flowers. The Service is good in most cases (e.g., front dest, meal service), but in isolated occasions, staff training is desired. The facilities show age and some furniture is not well maintained, which should not be for hotel like this, charging a hefty fee.

1. As a 2000+ hotel, the room design is compact, which is not as good as other hotels of the same price or even five-star hotels of around 1,000 yuan.
2. The room has a peculiar smell, which may be because it has just opened in 24 years, but the pungent smell when opening the door is really disappointing.
3. The reception and guest room floors are shabby and cramped, and the aisles are narrow, which feels like an economy hotel.
4. The direction of the bedclothes in the room is reversed, and they are scattered into layers of sheets.
5. The so-called canal view room has a wide view but the scenery is average, and the sound insulation is average. The high floors can still hear the horns and noise of vehicles downstairs, which affects sleep.
6. The breakfast is hard to describe. It is not much different from or even worse than hotels below 1,000 yuan. There are few categories and the taste is average.
7. The mini bar in the room is all charged, and the quality of toiletries and other supplies is average. The standard of the complimentary water and drinks is also the basic national standard. The paper box packaging has no quality except for the gimmick.
8. The overall service is OK, which is probably the only passing score.

The hotel is very beautiful and equipped it with all amenities needed. Oliver, the concierge, was very helpful and suggesting us with a lot of useful information with warmth and sincerity.
One shortcoming was the housekeeping service that the third night during our stay, we went back to the room around 8 PM and our two rooms were not cleaned. I wonder about that because I believed that I did not turn on Do Not Disturb button. After a long day of traveling, we've got to wait for the housekeeping to clean the room for another hour to use the rooms.
However, the overall experience was good and we wish to go back again next time.

WWaixingmaohaohaoIt rained a few days ago. When I went there, it was hot and it was the period of fruit fly explosion. They basically hid in the buildings. It was very painful. The insects were all in people's eyes. Many photos were full of insects. I didn't choose a holiday to stay. Lishi Jiaojiao upgraded me to the Tingyu Suite for free. I was very happy. I met a cat sleeping in our yard. It was cute and healing. The privacy was average when looking out from the living room. The disposable items in the room were quite complete.
It happened to be my birthday, and the birthday cake was not bad. I ordered a Margarita in the evening. Because it was not easy to pack, the staff of the same gender in the bar came to the room to finish it. The service was quite detailed. I especially thank Lishi Jiaojiao. The communication was great. All reasonable requests were met!
There is a passage next to the reception hall where you can buy fish food to feed the fish. One box can feed for a long time. Zhuyin Coffee has a good environment. It's the first time I drink such a fragrant osmanthus latte. I was a little rushed and didn't have time to ask for advice. If there weren't so many small insects, it would be quite pleasant to sit outside in the breeze.
The breakfast was delicious, with no disappointments (although some of them didn’t look great). Put a spoonful of this special honey into the cut passion fruit, and it’s like summer in one bite. It tastes great!

GGuest User3 really good things about the hotel - location, ambience, and service.
Location - not exactly central to city center, but it's closeby, and accessible to most of the tourist spots. Getting a Didi to & fro the hotel is no issue at all, and rides are usually approx. 15mins traveling duration, depending on traffic & destination.
Ambience - located higher up in the hill separates the hotel from the hustle and bustle of the city and the roads. It's secluded and well insulated, separating us from the traffic, and and the streets.
Service - the front of house is immaculate. All very well-mannered and professional. They're very flexible as well as they waived the deposit from us due to an international payment issue, prioritizing the check in experience over the procedures.
Overall if given a chance, we would definitely return for another stay!

JJohnMcCabeStaycation during the weekday off-season, staying in a large terrace room with a full lake, the beautiful scenery is undoubtedly refreshing, cloudy, rainy, foggy and sunny each has its own merits. Korey contacted us in advance on WeChat before check-in. The room service staff is very responsible and friendly, and all problems are solved in time. The duty manager Xiao Jiang is very enthusiastic. The staff of the swimming pool and tennis court are also very good. The children have fun playing with the alpacas, but they need to be accompanied by adults. The brown alpacas are relatively gentle and easy to approach. The hotel gave us a photo shoot, a new travel shoot, half an hour of makeup and clothing selection, and an hour of shooting in various places in the hotel. The photographer was very enthusiastic and guided us to take pictures and edit them. We picked out a few very satisfactory ones. The room facilities are not new, which is in line with the age of the hotel, and we don’t mind at all. The restaurant charges seem to be based on American standards, and those who are not used to tipping will have opinions. The service attitude of dinner is generally not bad. It may be based on domestic standards and prices. It is understandable that other guests are dissatisfied. Breakfast is also OK, and the cost performance is not high. It is not convenient to take a taxi to the town. The front desk gave me a local taxi company contact number, and charged 40 for a 10-minute one-way trip. The return trip took an hour from the hotel to Tonglu Station, and the driver said he happened to take the order on his way back to Tonglu. The scenic features and services are all very good, but you should lower your expectations for dining, and it is not very convenient to get in and out. Overall, I am very satisfied.

GGuest UserGood reviews! From the interior decoration and exterior environment of the house to the 24-hour butler service and the ingredients of the restaurant, it is definitely worth the price. It is quiet and peaceful. It is simply a health resort. We brought the elderly here for four days and three nights and everyone felt very comfortable. 🥰
Transportation: It is far from the scenic area. The hotel has a free shuttle bus at Qiandao Lake Station, but after arriving at the hotel, there is often no one to take orders for takeout when using Didi. There are only three takeouts
Food: The Chinese food in the Lake View Restaurant and the Western food in the Food Gallery are very good, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is very consistent with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. I went to the Food Gallery to eat three times. The waitress, Miss Zou, provided good service and had good bartending skills👍
Scenery: The real water and sky are one color, but it is a pity that there is less water during the dry season. The terrace of the Food Gallery has a great view and is a good place to enjoy the moon

GGuest UserIt took 8 hours to drive from Shanghai to Qiandao Lake during the Qingming Festival. When I arrived at the hotel, the fatigue was relieved by the warm atmosphere in front of me, and even turned into excitement.
The three-day and two-night stay was very good, and the holiday feeling was full.
This is a very attentive hotel, with a low-key design and natural beauty (the photos were taken from the hotel). The hardware and ingredients are of high quality, and the subtle and warm service is a plus. I will choose Keren next time.
