Melbourne Motels

I stayed in Box Hill motel between 3rd of Nov'23 - 5th of Nov'23. My husband and I arrived at Box Hill motel around 12-1pm. We were so exhausted as we took turn driving from Sydney - Melbourne. We drove from Sydney past midnight. Upon calling if we would be let in early, surprisingly it is allowed. Otherwise we would have slept in the car until check-in time if the room isn't ready yet. We got room no.1 and it was very clean. I didn't use the towel as I prefer to use my own towel, my husband also use his own towel. One of the hanging towel though had a snot on it and I put that towel aside despite we didn't use it. There were 3x plates in total and one of the plate was dirty and I assumed previous guest must have used this 1 plate and didn't wash it but instead just slipped it in between the clean plate. We used 2x plates for ourselves but I washed the 3x plates myself. Great Wifi speed too as I was able to complete a little bit of work from Room no.1. My parents always taught me to appreciate and respect people's places. Upon checking out, I saw Carol and OMG, she is so kind, friendly, down to earth and helpful. She was busy rolling people's luggage to their room. I remember my father always taught me the great businessman is not the one who always wanted to be served but the one who knew how to serve others first. There's a saying about ”servant leadership”. A great leader know how it feels to be at the bottom to observe, learn and serving others as well as better appreciate the top and experience various roles to understand the duties and responsibilities of each roles. THANK YOU Box hill motel team and Carol too for allowing us to stay at your beautiful clean and tidy place. We were able to sleep very soundly, hope nobody can hear us snoring :) I highly recommend Box Hill motel, Melbourne to anyone on a trip to Melbourne.

We stayed here as a family and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! Service & Staff: The staff were outstanding - warm, friendly, and so helpful. Location: The location is fantastic - perfectly positioned, easy to get around, close to shops, attractions, and great places to eat. Very convenient for families travelling with kids. Family Experience: Clean, comfortable, and well-kept rooms. We felt welcome and well looked after the whole time. Truly a home away from home!

Nice staff let us check in late, there are heating mats on the mattresses, and the room is very clean and spacious. There is a heater but the warm air didn't reach the far side of the room. Close to moonlit sanctuary for those who want to stay nearby.

We enjoyed another stay at this fantastic motel. Super quiet, easy parking, clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.  The feedback we have this time is the couch in the room was really uncomfortable  . My husband has had a hip replacement and when he sat on the couch he almost sat on the floor. It was deceiving how low it actually was. The towels in the bathroom had makeup on them, There were 2 glasses and 3 mugs for the 4 of us to use. No dishcloth to wash dishes

Website is misleading. Mentioned about there being a sauna in bedrooms and buffet breakfast which could be booked and paid online. When we arrived I enquired about the breakfast and was informed they don’t serve breakfast and there was no sign of any sauna. Also, in one of the rooms I booked there was a water leak in the toilet.

One of the hand wash bottles in the shower room was empty, but they kindly left a hair dryer in my room as I requested in advance. The receptionist was friendly and kind. The location is great, and I think I’ll stay here again next time.

Firstly staff were very friendly and helpful, could not be faulted. Complained that internet was down, moved rooms but problem did not improve. Needed to sit in reception or in yard to check mails etc. Pool was closed but on last day attempts were being made to clean it so possibly will be opened in near future. It is a motel, so for those in a car probably very convenient, but if no car location not ideal as there is a fair walk to shops, Tram etc. All in all a good 11 day stay.

The location of the hotel is only one street away from the downtown area. At night, it feels very different. There are a lot less pedestrians on the road in front of the motel. But the benefit is relatively quiet. The parking in the yard is free, enough parking, breakfast is not available. The facilities are quite comprehensive and they are old. The little brother at the reception actually said a few simple Chinese.

There are special kitchens, various pots and pans, electric ovens, induction cookers and so on. bbq
