Five-star review!! The owner was incredibly warm and generous, and the whole family was super nice. It's an old courtyard house, very beautiful with a distinct Shanxi style, which I loved. I specifically chose this place because I'd never stayed in a traditional earthen bed before. Life is all about experiences; things you haven't seen, done, or stayed in before are all worth trying. The owner was truly wonderful, recommending local restaurants, tourist attractions, and helpful tips—explaining everything clearly. I felt the host's warmth and hospitality ❤️🔥

It was just an absolutely amazing experience from the very beginning and until the very end of our stay, not even just in the hotel, but in the city of Pingyao itself in general. Me and my friend are traveling very light and without guides, and in Pingyao we had only one day: from evening to evening of the next day. Huge huge thanks to everyone who made this day unforgettable and ultimately comfortable for tired us: Alice, Helen, Fenny, Hana, and all others who was there for us. The hotel service is simply excellent: as soon as they learned about our late arrival, they immediately offered to meet us at the railway station, which was absolutely the sweetest thing. They brought us to the city gate, met us there, and walked us to the hotel. There they gave us a map, on which they explained in great detail where everything is, what is worth paying attention to, how it is better to build the route, and what opening hours different sights have. They also helped us organize a private transfer to Shaolin Temple the next morning. It was just perfect: we got there in 15 minutes instead of one and a half hours by foot, and after our walk in the temple they met us and brought us back. Also on the evening of arrival they helped us immediately buy the ticket for visiting all attractions of the city, valid for three days. And also they advised us where to eat, and gave us a hotel discount in both places. We did not regret it even once, the food was amazingly delicious in both places! The hotel itself is just wonderful: it really looks exactly like in the photos. You want to photograph every corner and record how the sparrows are chirping on the roof, and how two wonderful cats are meowing. The room also matches and even exceeds expectations. A huge kang bed, very comfortable. Excellent shower with everything needed. Breakfast is included in the stay: the traditional Chinese one was very tasty! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the egg, it was freshly boiled and still hot, but we were hurrying to Shaolin Temple by opening time. Also the hotel has a laundry service, and special thanks for that too! Washing and drying were very fast, and we got our nicely smelling clothes back already after four hours, which was critical for us, because we were leaving the same day. We felt like we really were honored guests, and we really appreciated it, even if only for one day.

Because I called the boss to pick up the holiday in the ancient city, I really don't go to the traffic jam outside the city. When there is a box, the boss rides to the car. The experience is very satisfactory.

There is a leisure area on the small courtyard and the roof, which greatly improves the comfort of slow life. The roof terrace can directly see the scenery of the city building. We had originally booked a guesthouse inside the ancient city, but it was too noisy, so we canceled and booked this hotel instead. Since cars aren't allowed into the ancient city, two staff members picked us up with two electric bikes. The next morning, the hotel owner drove us to the South Gate parking lot to retrieve our own car. The owner's family is incredibly kind and decent people. I accidentally lost my glasses on the way, and a family member drove me to an optical shop on an electric bike to get a new pair – I'm so grateful! I usually don't leave reviews, good or bad, but this time I absolutely had to, and it definitely deserves five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely five-star praise. The location is in the middle of the ancient city, it is very convenient to go anywhere, and you can see the county government as soon as you go out. Right in front of you. The room is what we like, simple and elegant. The courtyard is a hundred years old and very quiet, as quiet as a paradise. The boss will take the initiative to contact us and pick us up. He will also patiently explain the route and highlights of the ancient city to us, and provide free maps. This is really important and saves me a lot of time looking up guides. The service is super good! Thumbs up.

The guild hall is located right in the old town, super close to South Street. The courtyard is charmingly rustic, with many old objects that have withstood the test of time, looking as good as new – very unique. The owner was incredibly welcoming, giving us a map of the old town and explaining routes to suit our needs. The recommended restaurants and local specialties were all great, and mentioning the owner's name even got us a discount! We also bought all the lacquerware we wanted at a discounted price. When we left, they even escorted us to the parking lot because we had too much luggage. Definitely worth a visit again! Wishing them booming business and continued success.
