“Nice Resort on Long Beach” Want a Sands is a nice resort on one of the best beaches in Thailand. Pool Access room was excellent and the buffet breakfast was very good. Lots of variety for either western or Thai food and very tasty. The staff at the resort are top-notch. Derek the manager and his team are committed to you enjoying your stay at the resort. Lots of families at the resort but also a great location for couples wanting to experience a wonderful resort on a beautiful beach in Koh Lanta. Highly recommend “Fabulous location on the beach! ” Fabulous hotel overall. Fantastic location next to the beach, and there was so many pools to use. We had a room with pool access and it was fantastic. The only thing, I wish the fitness room would’ve been slightly bigger but it was still good. Would definitely stay here again! All the staff at reception were lovely and made sure to always help when it was needed! Definitely recommend.

We stayed here 1 night to extend our trip in Ko Lanta, wished we would have stayed longer! The lady on the reception was patient and helpful with us, very friendly. The room is lovely, good bathroom and shower. The bed is comfortable and it was very quiet as well and the lighting in the room was really nice. Highly recommended staying here, even longer periods. Both pools are nice to swim, amazing view from them. Restaurant was lovely, very good service and food. The bar next to it is nice to watch the sunset and enjoy cocktails. Plus, they'll rent scooters, helps you get transfers tuktuks or boats, very helpful. 5/5.

We chose Twin Lotus because it is adults only. It was romantic, peaceful, lovely, and we will definitely go back. We selected a room in the back as it was cheaper and we did not need to be on the beach. There are several,pools to choose from. The ine at the beach can get filled by 0830 but we always managed to get chairs with an umbrella. If you do not occupy your chair they remove the towel but leave your belongings. We took chairs that had a book on the side table. The book owner came and we explained no towels were on the chair. She knew the rules and said she would choose a beach chair instead ( along the beach are chairs but no umbrellas). We were thrilled she was so nice. The breakfast buffet is standard and plentiful. All the choices were delicious. No flies or ants anywhere. You may see an occasional meandering water monitor but they walk past you. The gym is immaculate and adequately equipped. The spa is wonderful with well- trained staff. We had dinner there a few times and the food was very good. There are places in the little streets behind the hotel and along the beach and next door, but Twin Lotus food was better though a bit more costly. Happy Hour drinks were good. We had a Go Dive snorkel dive tours to Koh Haa and a car ride to Old Town. Recommend both. The people in Old Town were exceptionally nice and the little museum is quaint. Eateries along their street are good. Allow two hours for Old Town not including the drive to and from. The next time we stay at Twin Lotus we will go to Phi Phi but have been before. Twin Lotus has many books to borrow located inside breakfast restaurant, There are buggies to drive you to and from your room or villa if you have mobility issues. Do not bring glass bottles or glass to the swimming pool. Any wait staff will give you a plastic mug or ”glass” to drink your beer or drink in the pool or at the pool. Please read the rules at pool entrance and follow them to keep yourself and others safe. The resort is mostly European people and everyone, young couples and older ones, singles, and all were cordial and respectful.

The cleaning service of the room is very untimely, and it is always embarrassing to clean when the guests are there! And the cleaning is sloppy, the table is not cleaned... In addition, the breakfast buffet is mainly for Westerners' bread and eggs, but there is no cheese, no cold cut meat, even jam, yogurt has a taste, I have seen other foreign customers disappointed eyes. When we asked if there was an Asian breakfast, the waiter told us: Sorry, no! Well...the constant breakfast for four days was a bit boring, and on the last day we had very stale bread...there was no freshly squeezed juice on the drink side, but fortunately the freshly ground coffee in the hotel was really good. Sincerely, I cannot understand how this hotel can obtain an overall rating of 8.5 on Booking as of today, in my opinion it only deserves a 6. It is true that the price of its standard rooms is not 's not very high, but now I understand why. The facilities are outdated, the general maintenance is really not great and the owner would do well to refresh the building before completely losing customers. When we checked in, 3 non-functional light bulbs, a broken shower head, a broken kettle, not to mention the holes and breakages all over the room. During our visit, they completely lost the water in the main swimming pool which turned completely green. As mentioned in other comments, it is true that the staff are really very friendly and always smiling, but it seems that they do not see what there is to do. During our stay, there were more staff than customers on site, but they seemed more interested in social media than in the work to be done. The beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful but difficult to swim in due to the high tides. Lunch really lacks variety for a stay of more than 2 days.

We stayed here in early January. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space (and we don't travel lite),the bathroom was also a good size, we stayed in a luxury bungalow near the beach. There was lots of choice of food at breakfast time including Thai. The staff at breakfast were always checking that the food containers were full, a member of the staff we got talking to was a lovely man called P Lung and he also speaks very good English, he spoke to us most days. We had a few minor problems during our holiday but when we reported them to reception they were dealt with very quickly indeed. I would like to make a constructive comment or two, I think that every pair of sunbeds should have an umbrella with them and also to releive the pressure on the pool near the restaurant (nearly all the sunbeds were taken by 9.00am) more sunbeds and umbrellas could be put around the newer pool as I only counted 9 pairs of sunbeds and 4 umbrellas with lots of unused space. The 7.00am to 7.00pm rule should be strictly enforced. This hotel overall is good value for money but very popular with families with children who some parents allow them to run around and make a lot of noise without telling them to be a little bit more quiet.

Hotel overall is good! Simple and not luxurious, everything is in order, and has a home-like intimacy. The structure of all the guest rooms is basically the same. Some of them have the same.
