"The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Downstairs, you can find anything you want to eat. It's a perfect spot for Chinese tourists because you can get Chinese food anytime. If you need a convenience store, there's one right next door. You can also head to Chinatown for noodles in the morning. Across the street, there's a theater currently showing a Michael Jackson musical. You can check in online in advance; they'll send you an email. I checked in at the front desk, and the Indian guy was very friendly. They gave me a high-floor room. The room size isn't big, but it's just right for one or two people. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and it's very clean. However, there's no complimentary bottled water or slippers, which really surprised me. The bathroom also lacks a bath mat, so be careful when showering. Otherwise, everything else is pretty good. The gym isn't large, but the equipment is sufficient, with plenty of machines for compound training. I didn't opt for breakfast because there are so many food options downstairs, all within walking distance. The lobby bar on the ground floor is lively in the evenings. Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent, but many things are minimalist, like the lack of slippers and water. The location is good, and the comfort level is adequate. So, if you prioritize price and location, this place is a solid choice."

"The location is fantastic! After exploring all day, it was so easy to just walk back to the hotel. I absolutely loved the croissant bakery downstairs; having a pastry and coffee there with my child every morning before heading out was such a treat. The hotel's environment and cleanliness are excellent. The lobby on the ground floor is beautiful, and the room views are even better. The pool is stunning, especially at sunset! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Melbourne."

"The hotel is clean and very busy during the morning time. Dont say about the reception area because it just too crowded. The fact that they provide luggage storage before check in also very helpful for us. The only cons is the hotel is too busy and full with people, there were people open/close the door non stop for 10minutes with loud voices in front of our room around 5pm."

"Facilities: This is a mid-range Accor hotel with some unique features, though there are a bit few elevators. Environment: It's located directly opposite Southern Cross Station, right across from where the airport bus drops you off. Tram lines 86/96 are just downstairs. Service: The front desk staff was very helpful. My flight arrived a few hours early, and the staff member immediately got me checked in. The hotel also has a daily chocolate tasting in the afternoon (please ask at the front desk for details). Hygiene: Overall very good, with only a few minor spots that could use a bit more attention."

"I paid over 1500 for 3 nights! No greeting drink, free mini bar was a can of soda water 1 can of coke. No room service! I went to reception a couple of times for basic questions & the greeting by the younger lady was non existent it was like I was a hassle!! I did not feel welcomed at all & made me steer clear of her! The lady when I checked in was really nice & the man who checked me out was absolutely lovely, stood with me until my Uber arrived he was a gentleman & wish I could have dealt with him the whole stay & the First Lady on check in! Very very disappointed value for money was non existent!!"

"The Le Méridien Melbourne boasts a fantastic central location, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The free tram stop is right outside the main entrance, and the back door provides direct access to Chinatown, which is a huge plus. The room itself was generally clean and tidy, with most essential amenities. However, the service was pretty average, and they weren't particularly responsive. The deposit refund after check-out was also extremely slow. On top of that, the view from the lower floors is really poor and quite depressing – I definitely wouldn't recommend booking a low-floor room. Overall, it was an an 'okay' experience."

"Great location. Well priced for location and usual amenities. Rooftop spa isn't hot enough, needs to be way warmer to be pleasant. Steam room wasn't open this stay. Robes no longer provided in room which is a shame because they were great for when using the pool/spa. Last two stays I requested extra towel in my room on arrival but both times this request wasn't actioned. Staff on check in were lovely and handled the rush extremely professionally, treating each guest with care despite the line. QR code for room service wasn't working this stay or my previous stay. Bathroom had a weird smell which I had also experienced during previous stays. Lots of room for improvement but still a pleasant stay for a reasonable price."
