"Amazing stay in Dali! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy place. The location is excellent, right inside Dali Ancient City, and everything is within walking distance. The room is comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. The owner is friendly and helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and he always willing to help with anything and gives great recommendations. Another highlight is the three adorable cats. They are super cute, no worries they very well-behaved. Truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again."

"Stayed for 3 night and I have to say this is one of the best homestay I stayed in China. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and nice! Got a free upgrade as well. Homestay is walking distance ti the south gate of Dali Ancient city.Breakfast, tea time and even welcome fruits platter. The mi xian(noodle) is seriously good and light. The two cuties Shiyi & Huanxi is just so cute. I would definitely come back here again whenever I dropped by Dali."

"We had a bit of a disappointing experience at the Jiatu Scenic Hotel. The room listing states ‘lake view’ so we booked that room, however, it turns out that this room does not face the lake and has an internal car par window instead. The listing photos conveniently have the net curtains of the windows drawn so you can’t see this from the inside photos. The receptionist insisted the Trip.com listing was accurate because the hotel was near the lake and therefore a ‘lake view’. They would not change us to a room with the lake view that we believed we booked, despite having multiple lake-view rooms available and us checking in at 10.30pm. They insisted the only way we could change the room was to cancel our booking (and incur a 50% cancellation fee) and rebook the more expensive ‘sea-view’ room instead. We contacted Trip.com who spoke to the hotel also but they were unwilling to help or move us, despite the room not matching the listing description. Trip themselves were very helpful and offered us some compensation. In the end we stayed in the room we’d booked with no lake view. The room itself was lovely and spacious, had storage options and was clean and tidy. If we’d booked knowing this didn’t have a lake view then it would have been perfect! The location is near the station which is great if you’re there for one night, however we were there for 2 nights and had to travel 40 minutes to get to Dali Old Town or the 28 bends ecological corridor, so personally if I were to come to Dali again I would choose a hotel in that location instead. It is worth noting that the hotel is across the road from the lake, so you can see cars and the road even in the lakeside view rooms."

"I came with a friend's family, and we booked two rooms together. My friend accidentally chose the wrong date, so when they arrived, the hotel told them there were no rooms available for that night. The front desk lady was incredibly nice; she helped my friend store their luggage at the hotel and even assisted them in finding another place to stay. If it weren't for her help, we, being first-time visitors to Dali and unfamiliar with the area, wouldn't have known what to do. Seeing how helpful she was, my friend's family decided to move back to this hotel the very next day. The hotel environment is very quiet, and its location right next to the pedestrian street makes shopping and getting around very convenient. The room facilities are new, and it's exceptionally clean. I'll definitely come back next time."

"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. What stood out most was the excellent service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and responsive to our requests, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. "This was my first time in Yunnan, and I specifically chose this guesthouse because it's right next to a police station. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, helping us with our luggage and giving us great tips for sightseeing. The courtyard is spacious and quiet, and it's only about a ten-minute walk to the ancient city. I really wished I could have stayed another day or two if my itinerary wasn't already set. Coming back around 11 PM, almost all the streetlights were off, but the guesthouse still had a super bright light on at the entrance, which I found incredibly thoughtful. We woke up late, and the kitchen had thoughtfully saved breakfast for us. The breakfast was very plentiful and made fresh by local aunties. Their human touch really surpasses many large hotels. If I ever come back to Dali, or if friends visit, I will definitely highly recommend this guesthouse."

"The Honglongjing branch in Dali Ancient City is absolutely amazing! 📍 The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Honglongjing Pedestrian Street. Step outside and you're greeted by a gently flowing stream, and you can look up to see the Cangshan mountains. It's just a few minutes' walk to Fuxing Road, the main street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. 🏡 The ambiance is perfect! The Bai ethnic architectural style blends seamlessly with modern design. The courtyard with its flowing water, flagstone paths, and red lanterns makes every photo Instagram-worthy. At night, when the lights come on, the atmosphere is simply magical, giving off a 'Spirited Away' kind of dreaminess. 💁 The service is incredibly thoughtful! The staff are warm and professional, proactively offering tips on nearby attractions and local delicacies. Their attention to detail really shines through, like providing local snacks and complimentary tea. 🍽️ The overall experience is fantastic! Whether it's the comfortable rooms, the aromatic coffee at the cafe, or the authentic Bai cuisine at the restaurant, everything leaves a lasting impression. It offers excellent value for money. "Hidden gem in the northern part of Dali Ancient City, truly embodying the concept of 'tranquility amidst the bustling city, serene upon entry.' This was by far the most satisfying accommodation throughout my entire Dali trip! I booked the courtyard bathtub king room, which was incredibly spacious. It featured a separate wet and dry area with a glass bathroom, a smart toilet, and a standalone large bathtub. Soaking in the tub with the view of the small courtyard outside the window instantly melted away all travel fatigue. The entire room is equipped with voice-activated smart control, allowing you to open/close curtains and adjust lighting with just a voice command – super easy to use. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and the blackout curtains blocked out all light, letting me sleep soundly until I naturally woke up. The amenities were high-quality; they replenished free bottled water and local flower tea daily, and I received complimentary fresh fruit upon arrival. The attention to detail was truly thoughtful."

"Time seems to slow down to half speed here. Open the door and you're greeted by Erhai Lake; look up and see Cangshan Mountain. The floor-to-ceiling windows are like a living painting. The public areas, with their swings, floral arches, and waterside terrace, offer picturesque spots everywhere. The service is perfectly balanced – gentle and responsive without being intrusive. My most memorable experience was the afternoon tea by the water, with the wind rippling across the lake's surface, a sweet treat in hand, and the layered mountains in the distance. All fatigue simply melted away. Wake up to the clear blue water and sky, and in the evening, wait for a beautiful sunset. Sanse Yunhe is definitely a place I'd love to visit again."

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."
