Scenic Hotels in Dali City

"Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both. Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch. My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room. My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom. If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways."

"I had an early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming, followed by a morning train from Kunming to Dali, so obviously my energy was completely drained. However, the moment I arrived at this hotel on 27 May 2026, the warm welcome from the staff instantly made me feel better. They even allowed me to check in early so I could rest and kindly offered me breakfast too, which I truly appreciated after the long journey. The hotel is super strategically located inside Dali Old Town — very easy to find, surrounded by everything, and honestly super cute! My room was amazing and so comfortable that I had one of the deepest sleeps ever to recover from the exhaustion! Before leaving, I even gifted my Nike Air Force sneakers, which were still in good condition, to one of the hotel staff. Hopefully they fit him well! 😄 Totally recommended this hotel if you’re visiting Dali."

"I've been to Dali many times, and each time I try a different guesthouse. This time, the platform recommended ”Yan Chuanshu Inn” based on my preferences, and I was drawn to it at first sight. It's located in the heart of Dali Old Town, in a relatively new area, and it's very quiet. What I absolutely loved was that the guesthouse has three adorable British Shorthair cats! Maikou is a chubby one who loves to lie on the floor and act cute. Tiechui is a Scottish Fold kitten, very clingy, and has the best personality. Gangdan is a British Blue cat, independent and very wary, lively and mischievous – as expected, you can only pet him when he's in a good mood [lol][lol]. Despite that, I still adore them, haha. My stay here was completely therapeutic because of the cats, and also because of the attentive service from the guesthouse owner. The owner has a great demeanor, and the service was impeccable. She helped me with my luggage and, knowing it was our first time exploring Dali, recommended some delicious and reasonably priced food spots in the Old Town [munch][munch]. Furthermore, the room I booked was really spacious, and the bed was huge – a Stressless brand, super comfortable! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The cleaning auntie tidied my room daily. The guesthouse courtyard has many flowers and plants, and the rooftop offers beautiful views of Cangshan Mountain ⛰️⛰️. I especially loved going up there in the evening. All in all, the accommodation I chose for this trip was truly wonderful. I think I'll recommend it to my friends next time～[heart][heart]"

"The Honglongjing branch in Dali Ancient City is absolutely amazing! 📍 The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Honglongjing Pedestrian Street. Step outside and you're greeted by a gently flowing stream, and you can look up to see the Cangshan mountains. It's just a few minutes' walk to Fuxing Road, the main street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. 🏡 The ambiance is perfect! The Bai ethnic architectural style blends seamlessly with modern design. The courtyard with its flowing water, flagstone paths, and red lanterns makes every photo Instagram-worthy. At night, when the lights come on, the atmosphere is simply magical, giving off a 'Spirited Away' kind of dreaminess. 💁 The service is incredibly thoughtful! The staff are warm and professional, proactively offering tips on nearby attractions and local delicacies. Their attention to detail really shines through, like providing local snacks and complimentary tea. 🍽️ The overall experience is fantastic! Whether it's the comfortable rooms, the aromatic coffee at the cafe, or the authentic Bai cuisine at the restaurant, everything leaves a lasting impression. It offers excellent value for money. "Great location! It's just a few minutes walk to the South Gate of the Old City, which I found incredibly convenient. The courtyard is beautiful and offers an expansive view. Sunlight streams in as soon as you open the windows. Even though it's close to the Old City, it's very quiet at night, so you won't be disturbed. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel offers an exceptional sea view! Located in Dali Golden Coast Manor, it boasts an unobstructed, first-row view with 270° floor-to-ceiling windows and a sea-view balcony. You can lie in bed and admire the Cangshan mountains and Erhai lake, enjoying both sunrise and sunset. The design is very stylish and picture-perfect, with an aerial garden and glass observation deck that make it easy to snap Instagram-worthy photos. The hardware quality is top-notch: a smart home system throughout (voice-controlled lights/curtains), smart toilets, thermostatic showers, and other intelligent features. The service is attentive, including a complimentary breakfast for two, coffee, tea, a chess and card room, music room, and fully equipped fitness room. It's quiet and private, situated in a villa area with few people, offering excellent privacy – perfect for unwinding. This is my second stay at the hotel!"

"100% satisfied! This was by far the most comfortable and enjoyable hotel we stayed at during our trip! First off, the location at the foot of Cangshan Mountain is very quiet and close to the ancient city. Secondly, the rooms are fully equipped with smart features, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. Every detail shows the hotel's care and dedication. The cleanliness is excellent, incredibly spotless, and they even pre-set the shower water to a constant 38 degrees. They even subscribed to TV memberships, which really shows their thoughtfulness. What was most heartwarming was the attitude of the staff; from the moment we arrived, everyone at the hotel was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. We received a welcome fruit platter and freshly baked flower cakes upon check-in. Every day, they'd ask if we'd like a sweet soup before bed. They also chatted with us and gave recommendations for places to visit. There was even some good Pu'er tea in the room. It truly felt like coming home! I also loved the two Shiba Inus! I genuinely recommend this place! From now on, whenever I'm in Dali, I'll only stay here!"

The cleanliness was impeccable, and all the amenities were well-stocked and spotless. "My little one already had a bit of a cold before we left, and it got worse because of the travel. Soon after we checked in and got to our room, he threw up all over the bed. I messaged the owner, and she came right away to take care of it, changing all the bedding. She also sent me the location of a nearby hospital, urging me to take my child to see if it was altitude sickness. She kept messaging me to check on how my child was doing. It’s rare to find someone who treats you like a friend when you’re away from home. The hotel is newly renovated, and the room features smart home controls throughout, which is perfect for someone lazy like me. As for the environment: the hotel lobby is very grand and great for photos. Overall, a very satisfying stay. I sincerely wish the owner a prosperous business and a peaceful life!"
