"Facilities: A bit old, as it's been around for over a decade, but still very refined and tidy, with a feel of a fading noble. The hotel has pretty complete amenities; the only downside is the lack of a laundry room. You have to walk a bit to find a paid laundromat outside (perhaps because they figure only winter visitors come to Hokkaido, and you barely need a shower in winter, right? (laughs)). Hygiene: Very clean, fitting for a five-star hotel's positioning and price point. Environment: Located next to Nakajima Park. From my room, I could see the vast white snow of Nakajima Park below. It's a bit far from the city center (around 800m), but very quiet at night. You can take the JR or walk to the city center, and the experience is still very good. Service: Standard five-star hotel service; all expected services are well provided."

"The location is quite good, just 1 hour ride from Sapporo city centre! And they got the shuttle to pick up! The overall environment is nice, and walkable distance to various nature area! The only improvement area is either having more staff knowing English or having some display explaining in English, which would make things easier for both parties."

"Do NOT choose this hotel for skiing!! Unless it's half the price during the same period, I'll never pick this place again. Prioritize other hotels with shuttle buses to Otaru Station. First, the location: This is Otaru-Chikko Station, two stops away from Otaru Station. The nearest convenience store is a 10-minute walk outside. Although there's a mall downstairs, its operating hours are 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, which is the only time you can use the indoor passage. Most restaurants close around 7 PM, so it's really inconvenient to find food after skiing. Second, it's really old! The carpet in my room type was dirty, the bed was rock hard, and the pillow felt like a worn-out cotton pillow – small and flat. The worst part is that after sleeping, my head developed small bumps and became very itchy!! I don't know if it was fleas, but it made me scratch my head for the next few days. The hygiene is truly concerning. This hotel has no coin-operated washing machines or laundry rooms, only individual dry cleaning, which is very expensive. This is super inconvenient for skiers staying for an extended period. frankly, the only good thing about this hotel is the room size; everything else is a huge letdown."

"I booked this hotel three months in advance. Taking the bus from Sapporo directly to Shiraishi Waterfall Station was much more convenient than taking the subway and then finding a shuttle. The hotel was meticulously cleaned, and we waited until 3:30 PM for check-in. The buffet dinner was good, but the breakfast wasn't as lavish as at The Windsor Hotel Toya. We caught a heavy snowfall, and soaking in the outdoor onsen was amazing. There was a harp performance, and the surrounding area was also nice to explore."

"I felt like I was staying in a Ghibli movie! The room was huge, with an open design and distinct Japanese charm. The private onsen was incredibly relaxing, and the large window allowed me to watch TV while soaking. On the first floor, there were unlimited snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages – you could easily spend the whole day just drinking! Breakfast was also delivered to the room, offering great privacy. Perfect for a relaxing, chill-out stay. Just a heads-up: when booking through Ctrip, there was no mention of needing to reserve dinner in advance. As a result, we only had the option of a kaiseki meal on the day, which was pretty mediocre and not worth the price (aside from the à la carte seafood from the tank)."

"Location: It's just a block away from Nakajima-koen subway station, and surprisingly, it's not far to walk to Susukino station either, which meant I could see the ice sculptures every day during the Snow Festival. There's a bus stop downstairs with hourly buses to New Chitose Airport. Service: There's a ********* girl at the front desk who speaks Chinese and is very patient. Facilities: The rooms in this hotel are large and comfortable. The bathroom looks a bit yellow due to an older renovation, but everything else is great. There's a Lawson convenience store downstairs, which is super convenient for grabbing coffee and snacks."

"The triple room was a bit cramped, but with some clever rearranging, it worked out great. The bathroom's odor extraction and dehumidifying features were surprisingly powerful, and I have no idea how they managed it since there's no visible switch or noise. Every day, I'd head to the second-floor hot spring bath; it was so relaxing and never crowded. Just remember to bring your room key to scan for entry. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from Hokkaido University, offering beautiful and pleasant views. We even found a university supermarket next to the campus cafeteria with delightful prices for souvenirs and food, where I snagged some limited-edition Sapporo Agricultural College egg tarts! The hotel's surroundings offer excellent transportation links; it's less than a ten-minute walk to the JR station's North Exit and Daimaru Department Store."

"This is an older onsen (hot spring) with good service. We were able to check in around 2:30 PM as soon as our room was cleaned. The hotel's various facilities have set operating hours, so you need to plan accordingly. The afternoon tea at this onsen hotel features a variety of alcoholic beverages, along with some teas and soft drinks. Dinner was absolutely amazing; the kaiseki (traditional multi-course Japanese dinner) was quite rich and varied, and breakfast was also very good. After checking out at 10 AM, all the beverages and water in the 1F lobby were shut off. This wasn't a great experience, in my opinion. They should at least provide some water for guests. Futami Bridge is nearby, and the atmosphere is lovely. The biggest complaint is the breakfast time! Who wants to wake up that early for breakfast when they're on vacation? According to the front desk, meal times are assigned based on guests' arrival order. Sigh."

"This is a historic Japanese onsen hotel. The hot spring water quality is genuinely good, attracting many Japanese families and couples. There are also quite a few Korean families and Western tourists. However, the overall facilities are a bit old, and the flow within the onsen area is quite complex. There aren't many pools, but they are spread across multiple floors with lots of stairs. Walking around like that **in that condition** felt a bit awkward and cold. The open-air onsen on the 16th floor is shared by men and women at different times, so if all family members want to enjoy it, one day definitely isn't enough (see the last picture for the onsen schedule). The 'water world' is fun and great for kids, and soaking in the hot spring after playing there is very relaxing. The dining is just okay, nothing special, as they mainly cater to group tours. P.S. The scenery in Jozankei is worth exploring, and the nearby ski resort is worth a visit (the kind for playing in the snow). The kids had a blast."
