Hotels near Y＇Z Park - Hongdae in Seoul

Near to sichon train . Take exit 4 . Walking distance only yet the road like hill up . Need to climb stair not suitable for old folk . The room is Clean . Small room . Water pressure is so good . No bidet 🔫 !! Hahaha #iykyk . Near by got alot of shop to waste money 😉. No halal food nearby . Will i repeat ? NO . Hahahah there is alot of motel nearby that don’t need me to climb the stair ✌🏻. Don’t take any bus once u reach sinchon station just walk if u take bus will be so difficult to find as only access by walking 🚶♀️

Mesmerizing experience!! I loved this place so much! I stayed here for 1 week on the 15th floor with city view. View was great, room was good and spacious enough for two. Everyday we would come back to a clean room and fresh towels. I loved it so much. Id definitely come back here. In fact I already miss this place!! Loved it 🙌❤️ Their buffet breakfast was ok - when my sister and I went for it their fried rice was spoiled. Otherwise i enjoyed their cereals, juice, and toast.

Excellent location, right at the start of Hongdae. Lots of areas to explore nearby, endless restaurants and shops. Literally on top of Hongkik University station so it was super convenient to travel around Seoul. Would stay here again on my next visit to Seoul.

Superb location - 1min to Hongik Univ. Exit 9. Great service - allowed early check-in at about 11+am without us requesting. Cleanliness is fine - i’m quite an OCD, the room can be considered pass.. Room size - think we booked the cheapest room type, it is small but not to the extend of squeezy with our luggages. Definitely will choose this hotel again if we come back !

Convenient location and clean room. The hotel has history, but the bed is not old but comfy. Loved the wooden floor and I guess there is a heating system underneath the floor. It says it’s a 4-star hotel but refreshment choices were limited (only tea drip coffee bags). Room-service is not available, but that didn’t affect our mood of stay. It’s environmentally friendly that snacks and individual shampoo sets are not provided. Would definitely come again!

Overall , accommodating staffs and affordable price for 2 rooms! FYI, tooth brush and tooth paste are not included. You’ll have to pay 1000W at the lobby/front desk Or you can bring your own Or buy from CU store located on 2nd floor. IPark Mall is directly connected between Yongsan Station & the hotel itself. There are a lot of cafes at the station itself too. Btw, the Wowpass Machine can be found INSIDE the CU store! Highly suggest to register there instead of the crowded locations such as at the airport or seoul station to save time. Hope that helps and thanks ibis yongsan!

Other than the location I would not recommend staying here. They only have tiny hand towels to dry yourself with and there was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The double bed was small and they only provided one pillow per person. The rooms are also not cleaned or serviced during your stay. There was no curtains in the room, only blinds that did not block the light so it was very hard to sleep. The automatic light in the room was also very annoying, as if you got up to go to the bathroom during the night the whole room would light up and wake your partner. The aircon didn’t work properly, it was way too hot in the room. The area was very loud at night time as the building isn’t sound proof and right on the road so cars and passersby could be heard clearly.

Very good access to public transport, both bus and subway. Unfortunately, rooms facing the street are very noisy, especially when there are small car races going on at night. So always ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Practically furnished rooms. Pretty clean apart from a few outliers (see pictures). The lounge is nicely furnished with a reading corner and billiards, but it is brutally loud. The music and the babble of voices linger on the bare walls. The elevator control is from the Bronze Age. No detection of full elevators which then stop unnecessarily three times along the way. No detection if no one is waiting for the elevator. In short, you unfortunately spend an unnecessary amount of time waiting for the elevator.

This place was strongly recommended by my friend. About 8minutes walk from hongdae subway exit 1. I liked that it was at the quieter side of hongdae so it would not be noisy at night and you can have a good night rest. Room is really clean and quite spacious. The only downside was that the lighting in the room is a bit dim. You could request for a table lamp from the front desk.
