As soon as you enter the courtyard, you will see a very exquisite courtyard, which is clean and tidy. The courtyard is particularly quiet. When you enter the room, there is a very wide sofa area, which is very comfortable for watching TV. The space is indeed larger than the standard rooms in other houses in the ancient city. The store lady specially made the bed in the standard room much wider. It is very comfortable for one person to sleep on, and two people can sleep without feeling the space is tight. This detail is really great, I love it. I'm really attracted by her toiletries, they are so easy to use and I really like them. Her home is an ancient courtyard from the Qing Dynasty.

I am very happy with value for money i have got. Room had all the things i need and facilities are modern. Electric toilet , tv , hair shampoo and conditioner, dryer and teapot all there. Though we had language barrier owner was quick to use App for translation so no issues at all. I felt she is very carring an dattentive. I had a bit of struggle to find place as i arrived in the dark and it is in a narrow street which is not properly lit . Name on a sign outside says Moonlight hotel in English. Arriving in daylight would be much better,otherwise location is very close to the gate so allow good access to the walk on a wall. I would recomend and stay there again.

The owner, Brother Wang, was incredibly enthusiastic, providing exceptional service. He contacted us a day in advance to arrange pick-up and shared travel tips. What really stood out was when we decided to check out early and head to our next destination without prior notice; Brother Wang still got up early to drive us to the high-speed rail station. Considering it would have been hard to hail a taxi that early and how chilly Pingyao was in the morning, Brother Wang made us feel as warm as spring! He even upgraded our room for free. The inn's location is excellent, right on Yamen Street, very close to the City Tower, yet it's very quiet at night. The bedding was soft and comfortable, giving us the best sleep of our trip! We had a wonderful stay. Great location, close enough to all the historic sites and restaurants, but still very peaceful. Our host could not be more helpful, she helped us plan our sightseeing and provided extras like a streamer for our clothes when requested. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, with as much to eat as we wanted. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated beautifully. We would not hesitate to re-book if we were to return to Pingyao.

Facilities: The hotel facilities are very new, convenient, and easy to use. Cleanliness: The cleanliness is good, very clean. Environment: It's very close to Pingyao Ancient City and 'See Pingyao Again', with a shopping mall nearby. It's also close to the train station, making it convenient for sightseeing. Round-trip shuttle service: The round-trip shuttle service can be booked in advance, which is very convenient.

It was just an absolutely amazing experience from the very beginning and until the very end of our stay, not even just in the hotel, but in the city of Pingyao itself in general. Me and my friend are traveling very light and without guides, and in Pingyao we had only one day: from evening to evening of the next day. Huge huge thanks to everyone who made this day unforgettable and ultimately comfortable for tired us: Alice, Helen, Fenny, Hana, and all others who was there for us. The hotel service is simply excellent: as soon as they learned about our late arrival, they immediately offered to meet us at the railway station, which was absolutely the sweetest thing. They brought us to the city gate, met us there, and walked us to the hotel. There they gave us a map, on which they explained in great detail where everything is, what is worth paying attention to, how it is better to build the route, and what opening hours different sights have. They also helped us organize a private transfer to Shaolin Temple the next morning. It was just perfect: we got there in 15 minutes instead of one and a half hours by foot, and after our walk in the temple they met us and brought us back. Also on the evening of arrival they helped us immediately buy the ticket for visiting all attractions of the city, valid for three days. And also they advised us where to eat, and gave us a hotel discount in both places. We did not regret it even once, the food was amazingly delicious in both places! The hotel itself is just wonderful: it really looks exactly like in the photos. You want to photograph every corner and record how the sparrows are chirping on the roof, and how two wonderful cats are meowing. The room also matches and even exceeds expectations. A huge kang bed, very comfortable. Excellent shower with everything needed. Breakfast is included in the stay: the traditional Chinese one was very tasty! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat the egg, it was freshly boiled and still hot, but we were hurrying to Shaolin Temple by opening time. Also the hotel has a laundry service, and special thanks for that too! Washing and drying were very fast, and we got our nicely smelling clothes back already after four hours, which was critical for us, because we were leaving the same day. We felt like we really were honored guests, and we really appreciated it, even if only for one day.

The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The location is convenient for getting around. The front desk service was warm, thoughtful, and responsive. The overall environment was quiet, offering good value for money, and a pleasant stay. I would consider choosing this hotel again for my next trip.

The hotel is in the ancient city. The car is parked in the public parking lot outside the ancient city. It needs to pay 20 yuan. The hotel cave-style room, the bed is sleeping, the room is not big, you need to bring your own bath towels and towels. Overall, they have their own yard. We were initially hesitant as we're worried the hotel may be ”too old”. But we were pleasantly surprised it was renovated to retain the ancient city look and feel. Love the room and the courtyards. It's even better than the ancient city itself. This hotel stay is a must for those seeking a complete and fulfilling stay in an ancient city. Room is extremely clean. We were at other international chain hotels during our tour, but none is as great as this hotel. My friend who is very ”sensitive” to ”presence” could not sleep well in other hotels, but could sleep very well in this hotel. The location is just a couple of steps off the main street of the ancient city. Same row as the famous ”bank”. Family runned. Lady boss and family are very fluent in English. So communication is not a problem. They're super friendly and helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended. For those who would like to venture out of the ancient city, do get their assistance to book a reliable and affordable driver to take you around.
