LLily_72I chose this B&B after reading reviews on Ctrip while on the direct bus from Datong Ancient City to Mount Wutai. The first 12 photos are all beautiful photos of the B&B taken by a handsome guy. 👍The last two photos were taken by a newbie, an old naughty boy. 😂It was our first time in our lives to have close contact with the earthen kang (kang bed). It was so much fun. 🤭The best thing was that we met the kind and lovely owner and his wife who picked us up. Thank you for your hard work. 🙏💐I am very happy to meet you in such a huge crowd. 🥳If you like to feel like home after strolling around Pingyao Ancient City, choose Yushengde. 😊We also had a super active cat, Yu Yu Mimi, come today. 🐱Thank you also to the ladies at the B&B for staying for two nights. You guys contributed to our happiness and joy. ⚘️⚘️

RRA BotusanWe booked this place near the west gate of pingyao ancient city. The hotel is in a historical building with beautiful decorations. The room was in the same style with typical kang bed. The room was very clean and the host left us a gift on arrival. All the staff talks English. Upon arrival Fanny shown us all the tours and the details on the city map and helped us book our tickets for the city attractions. We also enjoy playing Gomoku either her in the courtyard in the evening.
Breakfast is typical Chinese but you can also have western breakfast with a little fee.
Helen help us with the laundry and to find our way out of the city walls which was very nice!
Warmly advice for a trip to Pingyao!

MM447923****The guesthouse is located on Yamen Street, very close to the county government office, the Temple of Martial Arts, and the former residence of Lei Lutai. It's also convenient to visit South Street and Yingxun Gate. The rooms were clean, and the owner was very kind. It rained the day I arrived, and the owner arranged for me to be picked up from the station, which was very thoughtful. He even gave me two bottles of vinegar when I left.

SsundeluxAbsolutely wonderful! The courtyard garden is beautifully designed, and the flowers and plants are meticulously cared for. The rooms are also very unique and kept spotlessly clean! Regarding breakfast, there are countless dining options just outside, so we didn't bother about the guesthouse providing it. After all, it's a guesthouse – you come for the atmosphere, not primarily for the food.
And most importantly, the elderly matriarch of the guesthouse is truly wonderful! She comes across as very worldly and wise, incredibly polite, generous, and possesses a wonderfully cultured demeanor. The younger owner is also excellent; they'll proactively contact you to confirm your arrival time, which gate you'll be entering, and how they'll pick you up, explaining everything in detail. This detailed guidance is incredibly helpful, especially considering the various regulations within the ancient town.
I'll definitely book here again if I come with friends next time! We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you!

GGuest UserElsewhere Xianya hotel really exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, quiet and equipped with all kind of amenities, the bed was super big and comfortable. The reception girls were the loveliest and gave us many recommendations and discount tickets for restaurants. On our departure day they even gave us a gift. I would recommend anyone staying here!

AAdam BelThe hotel is located right inside the city walls, the place is gorgeous and great if you want some memorable photos or to just stay in an interesting and different environment. Our only two comments are on the noise, since the place is so pretty, tourists do come for photoshoots at night and it can get a bit loud, but that doesn’t last too late as the lights are turned off before midnight. And secondly, the unless this is something you like, the mattress is extremely firm and it almost feels like you’re sleeping on solid ground. Breakfast is a small and simple buffet, we ate well. The man on staff was very helpful and brought us a heater when the heat wasn’t working in our room. Definitely a place that we’d recommend, you get a lot for the cheap price and for all the issues, the beauty of the place and its location more than makeup for them.

房主是個特別實在熱心的大哥，氣場相處起來很自在舒服，其實我們一開始就來的這家客棧，探完了很滿意了，但是沒有立刻訂下，大哥沒有絲毫不悦，依舊非常耐心的給我們看了另外的房型，房間乾淨、整潔，還有地暖，進屋一瞬間暖和和的，也沒有異味兒，最最關鍵的是，這家在主街上！地理位置太優越了！所以我們對比完畢後，果斷選擇了這家。價格相當香啊，我們是一共住個三四天，每天保潔大姐都把屋子清理的很乾凈，紙也會及時添加，最關鍵這家還提供一次性的毛巾。
然後！一定要去二樓照相啊在這裏住的家人們！簡直太漂亮了，尤其是晚上or天氣好有陽光的時候。淡季幸運的時候還會隨機出現熱心腸房東大哥幫忙拍合影哦哈哈哈哈哈。
誇不完，根本誇不完，早晨的早餐由做飯的老大叔幫忙送來，他會很有禮貌的輕敲窗户，早餐也很實在，小菜啊，雞蛋啊還有水果，吃完往外面桌子上一放就行 很方便。
目前我來的時候是淡季啦，又是冬天，等夏天有機會一定要來，感覺夏天有植物了這裡會更好看嘎嘎嘎！
床鋪很乾凈，床墊子超級舒服啊，大冬天下雪也不會冷，還有智能小度，智能馬桶，很乾凈很方便！細節的是，半夜起來上廁所不怕摸黑摔倒，床下會有自動感應燈，真的細節滿滿啊！
哦對了，別看這家在主街道上，一點也不吵鬧混亂，很安靜➕氣場舒服，一覺睡到大天亮，伸個懶腰舒服！
寶藏客棧！！！下次再來玩直接認準這家住嘍！

The weather changed on the day we came, about minus 15 degrees. The hotel owner picked us up from the parking lot outside the city in a tricycle and sent us there when we left. We were given makeup and photography. Breakfast is next door, which is quite good. There are flower rolls, porridge, pickles, eggs, and fried potato shreds. The flower rolls are steamed by yourself, which are delicious and filling. Pingyao Ancient City is an ancient city that was developed earlier. It is famous, but disappointing. The management of the entire ancient city is relatively chaotic, the hygiene is not optimistic, and most of the houses are shabby, and some are even dangerous. It is very unreasonable to set the light show at 9 o'clock in the evening, and the South City Gate is closed. If you want to watch it, you need to go around a long circle in the cold wind.

AAnonymous UserWe ended our five-day trip to Shanxi and were very satisfied with Shanxi, especially this B&B in Pingyao Ancient City. After booking the room, we contacted the inn and reserved a parking space for us. We got off the expressway and arrived at the parking lot smoothly, and someone came over. They were very considerate in picking up my luggage. The location of the inn is very good, just at the intersection of the pedestrian street. It is not noisy at night and is very convenient for traveling. This is the most recommended one. The inn is a typical Shanxi courtyard house, just like living in a TV series. The courtyard is very comfortable, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the service is excellent. I recommend everyone to stay here.
