"The housekeeper Xiao Wang said that the house we stayed in was their Phase 2. The entire resort currently has 3 phases. Most of the rooms in Gu Yu Yuan Fang are in Phase 3, and Yuan Fang’s home is in Phase 1 and Phase 2. The whole resort is very large, with an ancient style. Each villa is very suitable for family outings and for staying in the resort. There is no business around, but fortunately it is not far from the city, only a 20-minute drive away, which is also quite convenient. Overall, it is highly recommended. At present, it seems that many facilities have not been fully completed. It is said that they will be fully completed by the end of April. I recommend it to everyone."

"The room is really super big, there is plenty of space for the cubs to run around, and there is a swimming pool next to it for swimming. I think they are so happy that they don’t want to go to the scenic spot at all. There is a huge terrace at the entrance of the hotel. You can sit there and have breakfast and look at the opposite door The scenery is just like in fairyland. The scenery in Zhangjiajie is also very beautiful. The homestay is very close to the ticket station of Zimugang. Thanks to the guidance and planning of the route by the lady of the homestay, otherwise there will be a lot of wrong roads. "Facilities: The B&B facilities are very complete. The toiletries in the room are from sevenplus, there is a smart toilet, a small refrigerator (drinks are free), and the bedding is really really really comfortable.
Hygiene: I am quite satisfied with the hygiene of the room, which is better than we thought, and the public area is also quite good.
Environment: In one word, luxurious. It is probably the largest B&B in Zhangjiajie. There are mountain views, bamboo forests, outdoor entertainment venues, walks, entertainment rooms, and swimming pools.
Service: The B&B housekeeper is considerate and not very accustomed to the climate in Hunan. He will adjust the room air conditioner to the appropriate temperature in advance. In the evening, he will also send evening stews and snacks. When you check in, you can see a warm little card and a small fruit platter.
A very satisfying trip to Zhangjiajie. I like this B&B very much. Next time I come to Zhangjiajie to stay in a B&B, I will naturally stay in this one. I will also recommend it to my relatives and friends."

"In terms of environment, the design of the B&B is really attentive, and the layout is warm and comfortable. There are also super beautiful natural scenery around, and you can enjoy a quiet and beautiful feeling every day when you wake up.
The location is also super convenient, very close to the middle gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and it can be reached in five minutes on foot.
In terms of service, the landlord of the B&B is super considerate, answering all questions, and giving us some local tips and travel suggestions. Breakfast is also provided, and there are many kinds of breakfasts. If necessary, you can also have lunch and dinner in the B&B. The dishes are delicious and cost-effective, and the children are very happy to eat.

"The boss enthusiastically recommended how to play for us, which was more worry-free, and also booked a ticket that was a little cheaper than the window. The bed is very comfortable, the air conditioner is very good, and it is relatively close to Tianmen Mountain on foot. You don't need to drive. Overall, I feel that the entire Zhangjiajie tour is worthwhile as long as you don't join a group. Will recommend friends to live in the future."

"We were originally planning to evacuate early and stay at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, but the accommodation facilities at the Grand Canyon were not mature enough, so we stayed for another night. . .
It happened to rain that day, and the environment of the B&B was more pleasant after the rain. There was a kind of spiritual charm of the empty mountain after the rain, and the mist was lingering like a painting.
After returning from the Grand Canyon, we stayed in the hotel for another afternoon. The boss also invited us to have afternoon tea and snacks!
Personally, I feel that the food in Zhangjiajie is average, but Cili rice noodles are not bad and I recommend everyone to try them (I really had enough of Sanxiaguo in Zhangjiajie, which is more oily). The hotel can also provide meals, which are actually better than those in restaurants outside. They are all purchased and cooked on the same day.
Everyone can rest assured to stay here. Finally, I put a few photos of rainy days, which are far less beautiful than the real scenery."

"We had a wonderful stay here! Managers were very helpful, location was beautiful but a little out of the way. Didn't matter too much as cars were easy to get and managers were happy to drop off and pick up to closest gate. Food was great, and the little lake our room looked over was so serene. Highly recommend over the big hotels in Wulingyuan. Our shower did leak a bit, so we used towels to mop up floor after, but the cleaners gave us fresh towels everyday anyway."

My recent stay at XiFuWan Resort Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warm greeting from the owner made us feel right at home. The owners, a genuinely kind husband and wife duo, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable and comfortable.
Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a lovely basket of fresh fruits—a thoughtful touch that truly reflected their generosity. They even went the extra mile by creating a WeChat group labeled ”VIP” to keep us updated on local attractions and assist us during our stay, which added a personalized touch to the experience.
The owners were particularly helpful in arranging tickets for the mountains and the famed Bailong Elevator, making our adventures seamless. They provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to the east gate of the mountain, which was incredibly convenient.
During our stay, my mother experienced some abdominal pain, and the compassion demonstrated by the owners was heartwarming. The husband personally took us to the hospital and assisted us through every step of the process, ensuring my mother was taken care of from A to Z. There, we experience what visiting a hospital in China is like. Its very fast and convenient.
Location-wise, XiFuWan Resort Hotel is perfectly situated in the bustling city center, surrounded by an array of conveniences including HeyTea, cyber cafés, supermarkets, and even a hospital nearby. It’s the ideal spot for anyone looking to explore the area without sacrificing comfort or service. Not to mention, there is also a halal restaurant nearby, ideal for muslim guests.
The service we received at XiFuWan Resort Hotel exceeded our expectations, giving us an experience worthy of more than just five stars. GGuest UserIf you are looking for a mountain vibe, peaceful, away from city and homey experience, this is the hotel for you! The mountain view is unbeatable and it’s so majestic. We have nothing but compliments about our room which can even house 3pax, having a bathtub and sauna to sooth our muscle after a day out were refreshing for us. Another highlight is how delicious the restaurant food is and we couldn’t resist eating the same dish (香芋扣肉) for 3 meals in a row. I am so glad to have booked one more night with this homestay just so that we can chill around the hotel with a tea ceremony with 毛管家 before heading out for our train ride home. Don’t be deterred by its mountainous location, it is only 5min away from the ZJJ forest park attraction entrance and the whole experience be it hardware or software with the homestay are so worth it! Ended my ZJJ tour on such a high note! Me and my parents (both in 70s) love it so much!

- before our arrival, we already felt the warmth and genuine hospitality.They patiently dialogued with us to plan how best to maximise our time during our 5D4N stay with them, and even considered the days after as we are moving to another homestay. They thoughtfully introduced and mapped out local attractions, helping us make the most of our trip.
- We appreciated their transparency when sharing their offerings and discounted rates, giving us space to compare without pressure. This gave us peace of mind even before checking in.
- One of the biggest highlights was how the homestay helped bridge the transportation gap. Despite the secluded location, they arranged reliable partner drivers who charged us at very competitive Didi rates, making travel easy and affordable without needing to worry about timing.
- We also loved the friendly dogs and cat around the homestay. They brought so much joy and warmth, and playing with them became part of our daily routine.
A special shoutout to Butler Jiang (将）, who truly went above and beyond.
- Upon arrival, he noticed we had caught a cold and politely ask if he could prepare herbal tea for us. This became our daily comfort drink throughout the stay. We even felt shy asking for it so often, but he and the team kindly reminded us it was part of their care.
- One unforgettable moment was during a heavy downpour. With the road under government maintenance, access to the homestay became extra challenging for that day. Butler Jiang appeared with multiple umbrellas and a buggy (not something we had seen before!). Since cars couldn’t reach the homestay directly, he walked down to escort guests personally—soaked in rain but making sure each of us stayed dry. When we got on the buggy, we realized he had even opened umbrellas to keep the seats dry. We were deeply touched by his dedication. Upon returning, we were greeted by a joyful gathering of guests enjoying a mini party at the pavilion—a sight that perfectly captured the warmth and spirit of this homestay.
Another shoutout to their partnering driver sun (孙）:
- After we moved to our second homestay, we once got stranded by the roadside because of Didi GPS error that made it difficult for a ride-hailing driver to locate the place. The only option offered by our then homestay was to dropped us at the base of a mountain, where we waited over 15 minutes with no success. Luckily, driver sun from Celestial Valley Homestay recognized us and offered us a ride, so we followed him back to Celestial Valley, and were warmly welcomed again with complimentary tea and another chance to enjoy the view and play with the pets.
- driver sun also took on our business and brought us to the city and even took us on another round trip to a faraway attraction. We were no longer guests at that point, yet the hospitality continued. We were truly thankful for the extended service and kindness.
This homestay gave us more than just a place to stay—it offered warmth, care, and unforgettable memories. It's this genuine hospitality that makes Celestial Valley such a rare gem.

However, the biggest upside was the hospitality and insightful tips from the front desk! They organized pick ups and drop offs, bought discounted tickets for the Zhangjiajie National Park and Glass Bridge. They organized everything for us and how to tackle the park in the best way possible. Also, they were always available if we had any requests. Staff was super friendly, always trying to help! Good location, easy to find but not quite convenient for parking. Close to Tianmen Park if that is part of the trip plan.
Got free upgrade, so I could stay next to my parents. Two rooms with their own yards are super soothing.
Good facilities generally, but there could be some improvements too, such as the floor in my parents’ room, and maybe add some sticker on switches to avoid some confusions.
Other than that, I love the foam pillows, much better than normal soft pillows in hotels, also love the comb it provides in the bathroom. Good toilet and good bath amenities like shampoo and shower gel. Recommend to provide bathrobe too instead of waiting for request from guests.
I also love the auto curtains and traditional styled wooden door.
I couldn’t catch breakfast for my travel plan but parents did, they love it. Services from the host was great, especially when it comes to laundry service. He also helped with parking.

She is very responsive on WeChat. Also thanks to Nikki, who let us stay a little bit longer to enjoy our day! The chinese restaurant in the resort has tasty food and good staff as well.
The only advice I want to give is that the whole resort is in need of renovations. Many years have gone by and you can see that. The room was good, but the communal spaces, restaurant, pool etc. Could use a fresh up.

Room
Only one of the beds had a curtain around it and it was already taken. Bed was alright. There's a lock on the entrance to the hostel that I wasn't told how to unlock so just sort of had to knock and hope someone would let me in then theres a lock on the room doors but was also not given a key to that so it just stays open
Bathroom
Some of the showers look a bit grubby and the toilet smelt a bit funky but they do the job
Hosting
As with most 24 hours receptions I've encountered in china, it is not really 24 hours. The guy manning the desk seemed pretty friendly and some guests were sitting with him on the bottom floor and they mentioned that we could join them to go out to eat as well so it seems like a pretty social kind of hostel. I believe they can support you with booking tickets to Tianmen and Zhangjiajie
Amenities
I think they also have a cafe. Again no one was at reception and I didn't have their wechat so I couldn't ask about luggage storage but they seemed fine when I came to pick it up later in the day so there's that as well
