My stay at Xitang Yuyaxuan's 180-degree river view room was absolutely perfect, completely fulfilling all my imaginings of a Jiangnan water town.
The room's floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony framed the misty promenade and the gurgling river into a living painting. I slept beside the water, watching the morning mist drift over the stone bridges and black-awning boats cut through the dawn light. In the evening, I admired the setting sun painting the corridor roofs red and lanterns gradually illuminating like stars – truly ”living within the scenery.”
The guest room itself was also incredibly charming, cleverly converted from an ancient Ming and Qing dynasty residence. The interior retained the elegant antiquity of wooden beams and carved windows, yet was equipped with modern comforts, showcasing a strong sense of design. Lying on the soft bed, with the gentle sound of sculling oars in the background, even my dreams were imbued with the warmth of the water town.
This is undoubtedly an excellent place to experience the essence of Xitang, and I highly recommend it to every traveler seeking tranquility and beautiful views.

I originally saw a recommendation for this hotel on Xiaohongshu, so I booked Shaoxing Hotel for my trip to Shaoxing. Our stay completely exceeded our expectations, and we felt it was an excellent choice. First, the hotel is very large, with multiple buildings connected by covered walkways. The central courtyards are beautifully designed with either exotic rock formations and flowing water, or pavilions and pagodas, or even ponds with winding bridges – all perfect for photos. The room was spacious, and the bathroom facilities were well-equipped and convenient to use. The hotel's breakfast was also abundant and delicious. Getting to various attractions by taxi was very convenient, even more so than staying at some guesthouses or hotels directly within scenic spots. It was a wonderful stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Shaoxing.

This hotel is small but has everything you need. First off, it's clean and tidy. Secondly, all the basic services are available. Lastly, the location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and it's also quite close to the East Railway Station.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations for this trip! From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Check-in was quick, and they proactively explained the hotel's facilities and their locations, which made us feel very comfortable.
The room's cleanliness was exceptional. The bedsheets and duvet were spotless and neatly made, the floors and tabletops were pristine, and there were no unpleasant odors in the bathroom's vanity or shower area. The attention to detail was impressive. The room had great natural light and good ventilation, so it never felt stuffy. The bed was just the right firmness, and the pillow height was perfect, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep.
The hotel's location is very convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to the nearby commercial street, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it offered a balanced mix of meat and vegetables, with hot dishes, porridge, and pastries all available, and it tasted deliciously home-style.
Even during check-out, the staff were very thoughtful. The entire stay was incredibly smooth, and it offered great value for money. Next time I visit this city, I will definitely choose this hotel again!

During the New Year's Day holiday, the hotel was swarming with guests. We arrived at 1 PM but couldn't check into our room until 3:30 PM. They initially said the room wasn't ready, but it turned out the direct drinking water system was broken, and maintenance staff were working on it. Even after we got into the room, it still wasn't fixed, so the hotel provided us with plenty of bottled water instead.
The room facilities themselves were quite good. However, the hotel's exterior was very dirty and poorly maintained, which unfortunately detracted from the overall check-in experience.
The hotel mattress was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bedding was also just right – not too thick, not too thin – so even with the air conditioning on, it felt pleasant. 👍
We went for breakfast past 8 AM and were surprised to find a very long queue. Luckily, everyone lined up in an orderly fashion.
Improving service is key; while the hardware is good, the software (service) needs to be even better.

Our stay at Xizi Hotel definitely made our Hangzhou trip memorable. The service was impeccable. Our room in Building 5 wasn't brand new, but it wasn't outdated either. We booked a lake view room, which offered stunning night views and even a beautiful sunrise over West Lake in the morning. The breakfast was also fantastic; the Jiangnan-style options were right up our alley.
The hotel grounds are serene and full of Jiangnan charm, with excellent facilities. I highly recommend taking part in the hotel's lake cruise, guided tour of the grounds, and travel photography activities – you won't regret it! The weather in Hangzhou in February was also lovely, and the hotel was a major highlight.
Visited Huzhou Giraffe Manor this winter and unlocked an amazing forest-themed travel photography experience! The light and shadow in the thousand-acre bamboo forest were incredibly atmospheric. The photographer was great at finding the best angles, capturing beautiful shots of the giraffe enclosure interactions and the scenery around the hot springs. The final photos turned out absolutely stunning. You can get up close with giraffes without freezing, and the indoor feeding experience was fantastic. The bonfire party was lively and cozy too. Our room was full of thoughtful touches, with complimentary fruit and a well-stocked mini-bar. Exploring the park with its adorable animal interactions and bamboo forest walks was all very enjoyable. Coming here in winter is perfect for both photography and sightseeing. The whole experience was incredibly comfortable and delightful!

Trip.com Select One City, One Room Experience | Hangzhou Xihu State Guest House – A Century of National Guest-Level Luxury Hidden by West Lake
Participating in the Trip.com Select One City, One Room event this time, and staying at the Hangzhou Xihu State Guest House, known as the 'First Garden of West Lake,' the entire experience far exceeded expectations and truly became the highlight of my Hangzhou trip!
This state guest house, renowned as the 'West Lake within West Lake,' boasts a century of historical heritage and the essence of Jiangnan garden design. Formerly private gardens like Liu Zhuang and Kang Zhuang from the late Qing Dynasty, it was masterfully designed by garden architect Dai Nianci. With three sides facing the lake and backed by Dingjia Mountain, it uniquely commands over 2,000 meters of West Lake shoreline. Within its 360,000 square meter grounds, winding corridors lead to secluded spots, and pavilions and waterside structures are artfully arranged. Every step reveals a breathtaking scene, embodying the ultimate in Chinese aesthetics. It even served as the state guest-level venue for hosting foreign heads of state during the G20 Hangzhou Summit. I initially thought the name 'Guest House' sounded rather modest, but upon checking in, I realized its luxurious quality and service standards are entirely comparable to, if not surpassing, ultra-five-star high-end hotels, especially in its historical depth and attention to detail.
From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was enveloped in thoughtful service. The front desk not only upgraded my room free of charge but also waived the extra bed fee and even gifted an additional breakfast. All these pleasant surprises felt completely natural, full of sincerity and consideration. The entire check-in process was seamless and efficient, from completing formalities to being escorted to my room, with no hassle or waiting. Opening the window revealed the magnificent scenery of West Lake, and the Chinese-style furnishings and exquisite details within the room made the stay feel even more distinguished.
Regrettably, in my haste, I forgot to note down the names of the kind lady who assisted with my check-in and the duty manager, but their warmth and professionalism remain etched in my memory. Here, I extend my most sincere gratitude and highest respect to all the front desk staff on duty at 2 PM on January 30th, and to every member of the concierge team! It was your professionalism, enthusiasm, and meticulousness that made the warmth of this century-old state guest house even more moving, and made this West Lake trip exceptionally perfect.
The serene luxury nestled amidst mountains and waters, combined with impeccable and attentive service, has become the most cherished memory of this trip. We've made a pact: until next time, we will certainly return for this warm century-spanning rendezvous!

This hotel offers incredible value for money! The room was huge, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – seriously, it's the first time I've ever been this impressed with a hotel bed. Plus, the mattress didn't have that annoying crinkly plastic sound. My little one took one look at it and didn't want to leave!
The smart bathroom was fantastic, with two sinks, a large bathtub, and everything was spotless.
The only minor issue was that the shower water was a bit too hot and hard to regulate.
The location is excellent, and the beautiful tatami tea room on the first floor made me really wish I had time to sit down for a cup of tea.
The staff were all gentle, friendly, and provided great service.

I came to Hangzhou for a concert and chose the InterContinental based on its proximity to Hangzhou East Railway Station, Olympic Sports Center, and West Lake. It turned out to be the right choice; the hotel's location is indeed very convenient. The hotel is directly accessible from Exit N2 of Citizen Center Station on Metro Line 4 and Line 7.
The hotel lobby is very unique, with beautiful lantern decorations, creating a festive New Year atmosphere.
The service is also outstanding. Staff members politely greet guests and proactively help with the elevator. When we arrived for check-in, someone immediately came over to assist us, which was a thoughtful detail that made a great impression. The breakfast is abundant, and the restaurant service is also excellent. The top-floor gym offers a great view of the river.
The hotel is 15 years old, so it's a bit classic. The room even has an old stereo, which is a bit nostalgic (next time I might bring a CD to listen to). The room is spacious and well-maintained.
Overall, I'm very satisfied and would choose the InterContinental again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

GGuest UserThe hotel I chose when traveling with friends to Hangzhou is surrounded by a well-developed subway and bus network, and it is easy to reach popular attractions such as the West Lake and Hefang Street. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure trip, it can save a lot of commuting time. The hotel has its own parking lot, and parking is also very convenient. From the moment you step into the hotel, you can feel the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff. The receptionist at the front desk is friendly with a smile, and the check-in process is efficient and smooth; the room service is meticulous, whether it is midnight snack delivery or luggage storage, it can respond to needs quickly, and truly make ”guests feel at home”. The overall hygiene of the room is excellent, the bedding is as white as new, and it is changed for each guest, which makes people feel at ease; the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, without water stains and odors, and the quality is reflected in the details. The service attitude of the front desk guy Xiao Cai is very friendly. When checking in, he took the initiative to ask about the room arrangement requirements, and introduced the surrounding travel and midnight snacks. I forgot to bring the charger when I went out, and he took the initiative to lend me his charger. If there is a need, he will help solve the problem as soon as possible, and I will recommend friends and family to stay
__WeChat54958****Before arriving, I read quite a few reviews and honestly had some concerns. I had initially planned to book two rooms, but due to a mix-up and booking late, I only managed to secure one. With a 'what-the-heck' attitude, I called, and Ms. Shao Linfang from the reservations department answered. She said she'd help me confirm. Although I couldn't get the second room, she was incredibly responsive, upgraded my existing room, and even arranged for a fruit platter. She also proactively asked if I needed children's amenities, which were prepared and ready in the room, along with a mini-bar. It truly lives up to its reputation as a seasoned five-star hotel; the overall service standard is consistently excellent. Crucially, the hotel's location is superb. Wulin Night Market is right downstairs, and West Lake is just a 10-minute walk away. This was incredibly convenient, especially when West Lake's traffic restrictions made it impossible to get a taxi. The buffet breakfast also offered a good variety. I was very satisfied with the accommodation on this trip. A special thanks to Ms. Shao!
__WeChat41221****My expectations were fully met, and the hotel lived up to the hype. The only minor drawback is that check-in isn't until 3:30 PM (though earlier check-in is possible if rooms are available), but this hotel is just incredibly popular.
The hotel boasts numerous rooms with an exceptionally high occupancy rate and a variety of room types. Stepping inside, there's a magical sense of calm. For the same price, you might only get a standard room in Shanghai, but here we enjoyed a lake view suite.
The service was also top-notch; my family felt right at home, praising the hospitality. It was money well spent.
Even during the holiday, the swimming pool and hot spring weren't overcrowded, which speaks to excellent management, as reservations are required. Since it's winter, swimming was a bit chilly. However, there's also a sizable, slightly warmer children's pool area, which is absolutely fantastic.
GGuest UserOur stay at Naked Stables was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable for our whole family. We travelled as a family of six, including two elderly members and two kids, and the resort was perfect for all ages.
There were plenty of engaging activities to keep everyone happy — from fishing, pottery, and crafts to outdoor experiences. The kids especially loved the horse riding and grooming sessions, which were thoughtfully organised and very safe.
We stayed in a three-bedroom villa, which was luxurious, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Each bedroom having its own bathtub was such a treat. The villa was beautifully decorated, and we were deeply touched by the thoughtful surprise of decorations and cakes arranged for our son’s birthday — a gesture that made our stay extra special.
Getting around the resort was effortless, as the buggy service promptly picked us up from the villa whenever we needed. We also loved having a lovely hiking trail right outside our villa, perfect for a peaceful morning.
Breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and the noodle station was a definite highlight for us. A special mention goes to Chuan Chuan the resident dog— friendly, gentle, and absolutely adored by our kids.
Every detail reflected care and thoughtfulness, making our stay both relaxing and joyful. We left with beautiful memories and cannot wait to return to Naked Stables again. Highly recommended for families looking for comfort, nature, and meaningful experiences.
LLuozhizhuFirst off, the location is absolutely superb. It's just a few subway stops from Hangzhou East Station to Fengqi Road, and the hotel is a short walk from the exit. From the hotel, you can turn into Hai'er Lane, walk through Wulin Night Market, and you're right at the West Lake's Bai Causeway. Honestly, the convenience of these two things combined is invaluable for city walking.
Secondly, the service staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly nice! When I checked in, because I'm so easy-going and 'don't mind anything,' they not only upgraded my room but also changed my reservation for 'two breakfasts for two nights' to one breakfast per day. The welcome fruit and snacks were also a nice touch, presented in a small paper bag with 'Hangzhou' printed on it. The breakfast was delicious too, with a vibrant, local city feel.
Finally, the cleanliness was exceptional. It's an old-school hotel with modern, meticulous service, and the blend of classic and contemporary creates a wonderful experience. The mattress was very comfortable. The feeling of old-fashioned charm combined with cleanliness was an absolute delight for the mind!
SSAH❤️Great location! Highly recommend! You can book reservations at the Zhaochake Hotel, which I also recommend. The butler service was excellent; they called me in advance and added me on WeChat. They picked me up at the visitor center for check-in, and my luggage was delivered. It's the best location in Wuzhen, highly recommended!

This might be one of the hotels with the most breathtaking views I've ever stayed in! Our room offered an unparalleled vista – truly a 'living painting' the moment you open the window. From the moment we drove through the hotel gates, the meticulous and thoughtful service was evident; staff guided us all the way, so we never worried about getting lost. After parking, the hotel provided dedicated internal shuttles for pick-up and drop-off, making it completely hassle-free and elevating the whole experience.
Waking up in the morning, gently drawing back the curtains, and watching the mist drift through the mountains, changing with the light – it was truly a sight so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away 🤩. Even doing nothing but lying in the room and soaking in the view brought immense joy.
🍴 **Dining Experience**
The cliffside restaurant is an absolute must-visit! Perched right on the edge of the cliff, it features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the entire valley the moment you sit down. We were incredibly fortunate to secure a table with the best view; the expansive vista was simply stunning. Eating breakfast while watching the clouds and mist dance through the valley was profoundly therapeutic.
Breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, a perfect blend of Chinese and Western options, ensuring you'd never get tired of it. I must especially commend the rice noodles – with three distinct toppings, each bursting with fresh, savory flavor that left me craving more! I ordered them two days in a row; the more I ate, the more I loved them 😋.
😄 **Overall Experience**
If you're looking for a romantic getaway for an anniversary, or a relaxing weekend road trip within the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region, this place is absolutely perfect! There's no need to meticulously plan an itinerary; the hotel itself is a 'self-contained holiday haven'.
The complimentary activities alone are enough to fill a day: archery, billiards, craft-making... each one was engaging and fun. The paid activities were also reasonably priced. We tried both pottery and the spa, and highly recommend them. The entire experience was both relaxing and engaging, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves and truly 'slow down and savor the moment'.
✨ **Special Thanks**
**Butler Xiao Chen**: The person who touched me the most throughout our stay! Not only were they professional and efficient, perfectly arranging all our small requests, but they were also incredibly thoughtful, often anticipating details we hadn't even considered. For instance, reminders for shuttle times, activity bookings, and little surprises in the room... they truly elevated the joy of our wedding anniversary trip. It genuinely felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being cared for by an old friend – incredibly heartwarming 💖.
**Spa Therapist Sijia Celia**: Her professional and skillful techniques combined with gentle service truly healed my soul and left me completely relaxed. Afterwards, I felt light in body and mind, and utterly refreshed.
**Craft Class Teachers Dina & Fern**: They were incredibly patient while guiding us through making fragrance sachets, providing step-by-step instructions and even encouraging us to add our own creative touches. The final products were not only beautiful but also imbued with wonderful memories.
**Pottery & Painting Instructor Deng Chensi Sam**: Very professional, explained everything in detail, and gave us lots of inspiration and suggestions. He even thoughtfully added us on WeChat so we could track the firing and delivery progress of our pieces at any time. He truly embodies 'delivering peace of mind'!
**Archery Instructor 🏹**: He was absolutely fantastic! His instruction was very professional, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. We even participated in an archery competition and surprisingly won a prize! He called immediately to inform us and personally delivered the prize to our room. That moment truly warmed our hearts~
MM300526****I was a bit surprised by the price at first, and curious to see what kind of service I'd get for it!
1: We arrived at 1 AM, and the owner, who usually finishes at 10:30 PM, waited up for us until 1 AM, and even helped us carry our luggage upstairs!
2: Whenever the owner sees you coming in or going out, they'll open the door for you! Service is top-notch.
3: If you want to eat breakfast in your room, that's fine too; the owner will even bring it up for you! And the breakfast is incredibly generous!
4: The whole room was very clean and hygienic, and we had a very comfortable stay. The underfloor heating was just turned on a bit too early, haha. It was too hot at night, and we had to turn it off before we could sleep.
5: There are two very cute cats that aren't afraid of people.
6: Also, I drove here, and parking fees in this area are very expensive. The owner waived the parking fee for me, which saved me over 200 yuan. I almost felt bad about it!
In short, it was an excellent value! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit West Lake.

GGuest UserBring your baby to Shaoxing, the hotel upgraded our room for one day for free. Welcome fruit, dessert every day, butler service is very timely. Especially this housekeeper Xiao Ni. The hotel's Chinese restaurant for dinner is not expensive, there is a small zoo and horse riding 😀. The lawn is very large and suitable for outdoor. The hotel is very large, and there are many places such as the wine cellar that I don't have time to visit because I have a baby. I will come again next time.
AAmanda DeBoerThe location was beautiful - beautiful views and lots of tea around! Everyone was helpful and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very traditional Chinese. The location was difficult to get or from via Didi during peak times. We were able to make it work though. The A/C wasn't turned on yet so it was warm in the room if windows were closed. If windows were open, it was very noisy starting at about 5:00 am. All-in-all, it was a nice trip in a beautiful location.
