Sea View Hotels in Hebei, China

My friend and I stumbled upon this hotel while driving through Qinhuangdao, and it really exceeded our expectations. The room was much bigger than we thought, the toilet was smart, and the floor-to-ceiling window overlooked the sea (if you book a sea-view room, of course). The bed was also very comfortable. It's the perfect spot to watch the sunrise, the view is truly amazing! Great value for money! The sea-view rooms can be a bit chilly facing the ocean, so bring thick pajamas if you're coming in winter.

Everything was great, room is clean, stuff is friendly. During winter time the location is not great coz all the shops around are closed even KFC and Starbucks but this not hotel’s fault. The breakfast is a bit Chinese but foreigners also can find a lot of options to eat. The only thing I didn’t like is that during the breakfast there was a jar of Nutella but in fact that wasn’t Nutella just some cheap chocolate spread - just use another jar so people won’t be confused.

The hotel was the most comfortable, clean, and the location was very nice, close to the beach, and the service was friendly. The price was cheap, the service was high, the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much. I hope you all choose this hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located right by the beach and commercial areas. There are many restaurants and several convenience stores within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We tried two of the restaurants inside the hotel — one offering upscale Chinese food and the other seafood buffet, both were excellent. Will definitely choose Shangri-La again if we come back to Qinghuangdao in the future.

Beyond the basic cleanliness of the room, which is a given, I've always loved the bathroom design at Hampton. It's surprisingly spacious, even with limited room area – kudos for that! The rooftop bar has a great view, and the front desk ladies were incredibly helpful, even bringing up a band-aid late at night. Breakfast, as always, was excellent. It's about a five-minute walk to the beach. The only downside is that two buildings in front completely block the sea view, but that's a minor flaw considering all the positives.

Service: The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. She assisted us with our luggage and thoroughly checked the stroller for us when we rented it. Her service absolutely deserves full marks. Facilities: The room felt a bit small, especially compared to the 40-square-meter rooms we had at two previous hotels in Chengde. With our substantial luggage, our elderly companions found it quite cramped. Additionally, despite the air purifier running, both of our two rooms had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. Parking: Parking was a bit challenging. Although staff members were available to guide us to a spot, parking spaces directly outside the hotel entrance were very limited. Environment: The surrounding area is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, a real escape from the hustle and bustle. Getting to the beach was also quite convenient. Overall Recommendation: If you're traveling light, not driving, and aren't particular about room size, I would personally still highly recommend this place.

Convenient Location, directly above a large shopping mall with a good variety of shopping and food & beverage options. The hotel and mall are directly linked through the 4th floor, though it is closed outside of the mall operating hours. Room was clean and toiletries were nice! Overall a nice and comfortable stay.

I recently stayed in room 3129 at this hotel and overall, I had a good experience. The location is excellent as it sits right in front of the beach. The hotel also has a hot spring which is a nice addition, although some areas were not functioning properly due to being broken. The reception staff was very attentive and friendly, particularly one male employee. However, it seemed that the female staff members were not as willing to work. I highly recommend trying the massage services offered at the hotel. I had a neck and back massage which left me satisfied. The breakfast buffet was decent and the dining room supervisor and the reception staff at the buffet were friendly and hardworking. Most of the cooks and servers provided good service. I would also recommend paying for the dinner buffet as it offers a wide variety of seafood. The only downside was a young grill cook who lacked proper manners when I asked a question about the food. He responded lazily and rudely. Additionally, there was a young waitress with a tattoo on her leg who seemed uninterested in working. While the rest of her colleagues were cleaning and setting up tables, she would simply join them and sit down or play with her mobile phone. In terms of the room, the cleanliness was below the minimum standard. It was quite neglected, as they only mopped the floor and it still wasn't clean. There were hairs from previous guests throughout the room. The private hot spring in the room could also use some improvement. A true 5 Star experience. The room is top notch with a large window overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding in all categories. Breakfast is full and rich. The hotel dinner buffet is so extraordinary that I say you must try it at least once! We were amazed at the variety of dishes and the quality. Hotel location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk and you can have your feet in the sand or water. The Qinhuang Alley Food Street is also within walking distance or very short cab ride. This food street is very lively and fun to visit especially in the evening. Two other recommendations for things to do are Lao Long Tou (Old Dragon Head) which you can get to by cab. And if you are a fan of the Olympics you really should visit Olympic Avenue Park. Amazing relief sculpture wall over 300 meters long portraying Olympic history. Must be seen to be believed. Thank you to all the friendly and professional staff and chefs at Grand Hotel Qinhuang for making our 4 night stay so enjoyable. Qinhuangdao is a wonderful city with so many different things to do and experience we hope we can return again.

It takes about 20 minutes to get there by taxi from Qinhuangdao Station. I paid for the upgrade to the best room type. Let me talk about the advantages first. It is very photogenic, indeed very photogenic, and the sunset is beautiful. But it rained the next day, making it inconvenient to go out. Also, the bedding is good and quite comfortable. As for the disadvantages, maybe because it is close to the fishing village, the outside of the house stinks, especially stinks! The delivery guy laughed at the smell and said it smelled like rotten fish and shrimp 😂 I stayed here at the end of November, so I'm not sure if it will be better in the summer. It is said that there is travel photography, but I don’t know. Maybe if I didn’t mention it, the hotel staff would not bother to mention it... After all, I seemed to be the only one staying there that day, so I didn’t bother to worry about whether to take photos or not.
