Great hotel which was in an ideal area for visiting Old Trafford. Excellent transport links with buses and trams and in a decent location for Arndale shopping centre.
Hotel was very clean and staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was a self serve buffet which provided adequate items. Items were hot, never cold even though we came down one hour before end of service time.
Would definitely use this hotel again
as service was excellent. Just one recommendation- can hooks be provided in the bathroom to hang your clothes/ towel on. None in ours.

Was a great location as very central. Could walk to the main hub. All the staff was super helpful and very friendly.
Breakfast was great.
Room just what you need, bed clean and very comfortable.
Very Happy
Excellent value for a late arrival flight before onward train journey the following morning. We even enjoyed the half hour stroll to and from the airport! Bed was comfortable, spacious new shower and good breakfast all included for £57 for two! Thank you!
Second stay here. Good location, breakfast buffet was very basic but adequate.
Had 2 parking tickets for parking in the hotel car park! even though Id entered my car registration into the machine. Had to call twice to get them removed.
Family/friends weekend away.
Hotel was very clean,
Staff are very friendly and assisted when needed.
Location is in a quiet area which was good away from noise.
It was located near the venue needed to be and shops very close by.
Disappointing issue No kettle in room,
Beds smaller then normal twin beds.
Didn't try breakfast.
Will give it 9 out 10 for 3 star hotel.

Very pleasantly surprised - modern updated rooms, breakfast great and super helpful and friendly staff on the desk. (The two lads on Friday night were really lively and helpful but I can’t remember their names - one of them was back on in the morning shift). Wigan IHG is much better than the one at Leigh Sports Village.
Very close to trafford mall like around 10-15 minute walk and in front of a bus stop. Really like the location and great service

NNP/UKStayed here a few times now, quiet hotel but near to all local shops and transport links to Manchester city centre and the airport. Rooms are warm, with a fan in the cupboard if needed, plenty of tea and coffee provided, mini fridge and microwave too 👍 my shower wasn't the best on this stay but not the end of the world tbh.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel and perfect for my one night in Manchester for a gig at the CO op live arena. Just a few minutes walk to the tram stop so easy access to the venue and as a solo traveller that is important to me.
The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Checking and check out was very smooth. The bar staff very friendly last night.
Sadly there are renovations to the building next door and the work began at 7.58 this morning so I was woken with a start. This is not Sachas fault but it does impact the stay.
GGuest UserMy man told me the doors locked yet there wasn’t any batteries to make functional, he also said I looked like a stoner n can happily smoke ****, so I took upon his request and enjoyed my stay to the fullest, was beneficial of the pricing range as the cost was no more then a 3.5 per bedroom
As for the the essential part of the trip, my associate commandeered a new sleeping partner,
So many thanks to the OUO house members for letting us stay in Middleton 😘
MMallu Couple TravellersI recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts.
Location:
The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle.
Parking:
The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches.
Hotel Condition:
This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms.
Rooms:
The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast.
Staff:
The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
Value for Money:
Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works. However, if comfort and modern amenities are a priority, you might want to explore other

GGuest UserRoom is clean, no frill set up is good for environment. Just provide what we need for a short stay. Restaurant staff efficient, check-in fast. But wish the receptionist told us there will be charge of £4.5 per person for but to airport. We didn't know until we got off bus at terminal and driver asked us to pay

GGuest UserA good, clean hotel about 20 minutes drive from city centre. Staff were nice and helpful. Good food served in restaurant, although it was slightly overpriced for some dishes (nearly £8 for a small bowl of soup, for example). Semi-secure car parking available on site (spaces rather narrow, so you risk getting your car damaged), but just parked in nearby street as it was much easier. Lots of people fail to acknowledge the one-way drive system at front entrance. False fire alarm at 1am took too long to be investigated and have the system reset. One of the lifts wasn’t fully operational. The plug in the bath didn’t fit properly, so had to rely on shower.
GGuest UserIf you can get over the odd lay out and outside aesthetic, the OX Manchester is great. The staff are nice and approachable, the room is nice and the bathrooms are clean and new.
Breakfast is great and the dining area is set up well.
OX Manchester is also close to Metro link which makes it ideal if you don’t want to drive further into the city.
