Courtyard by Marriott Nanjing Jiangning

Yuhuatai Area
After all, Golden Wheel Courtyard is still a brand of Marriott Group. The overall stay experience is still very comfortable, simple and clean. Before check-in, I was fortunate to have the administrative manager Shelia contact in advance to upgrade to an executive room. The experience of the executive floor is still good. There are executive light meals and executive lounges in the evening, which are plus points! The room is very comfortable, the bed is just the right hardness, the room space is still relatively large (forgot to take a photo), and the breakfast service is also good. Again, a small recommendation👍
Yiman Hotel (Suzhou Pingjiang Road Scenic Area)

Guanqian Street Area (Downtown)
Pros: Very good location for walking around Pingjiang road. Very handy Suzhou train station pick up service, would recommend utilising for anyone arriving by train. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. Cons: bathroom had a bad smell emanating from it. There was quite a lot of construction happening while we were there, started around 7am and didn’t finish until after midnight. Would recommend bringing ear buds. Shower pressure was ok but not amazing. There is also no elevator so you will need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the rooms which are all on the first floor.

Suzhou New Area
I have been here 4 times and I still like it very much. Marriott's Suzhou Technology City Yuansu Hotel has a lot of details. I like to eat their fried chicken and bread for breakfast. I didn't eat Laba porridge during the Laba Festival. I didn't expect to eat it at the hotel. The hotel operation management is very online, no wonder the business is so good on weekdays. The breakfast room is full, and I am a tourist who is super loving! ! ! I remember the first time I went to 12.13. At that time, the hotel seemed to have just opened and was adjusting some details. Later, I went with my girlfriends in a few days. I was very happy when I had breakfast. There were many types. The bread was freshly baked and delicious! ! All categories are very fresh. Later, I came with my boyfriend. It was very convenient to charge here. I came again yesterday and found that their front desk staff spoke very good English. The front desk lady who received me was also very good! ! I was particularly impressed because she wanted to register as a Marriott member, and she helped me a lot in the process, especially unexpectedly also sent me welcome fruit. There are tips next to the air conditioner, so that the air conditioner is very simple. I don't know how to open it for the first time. For this detail, I can feel the operator's intentions. The bathrooms are all Kohler's, the towels are clean and have a faint fragrance, and the bed is very, very comfortable! ! ! ! The quilt is soft and I took a lot of photos in the hotel. I really like to come here and want to relax every time I rest. As soon as I enter the hotel, it is very fragrant. There is an aromatherapy machine.
Zhouzhuang Life Inn

In Zhouzhuang Ancient Town
Went to Zhouzhuang, the reviews here are pretty good, saw that there is a swimming pool, thought I could take my kids to play in the water. Service: The store owner is very nice, it's hard to find the place by myself, turning left and right, fortunately the store owner sent a butler to the gate to greet us, the butler is Vietnamese, a little bit 🈶 can't understand us, but later we can still communicate well, arrived at the inn location, and took the initiative to help me with the luggage 🧳. Facilities: In addition to the antique style, it adds furniture used in the old times, etc., which makes you feel like you are in the wrong era, but it's quite casual, not bad, clean and hygienic

Baijin Hanjue Hotel

Xu Zhuang Software Park—Xianlin University City
I am from New York and am based in Suzhou, China. I stayed at this hotel during a busy holiday and was very concerned about Nanjing traffic. This hotel has an excellent location near the university city and many theme parks, such as Nanjing Happy Valley. The level of elegance of the rooms was comparable to the now-extinct 6-star rating. You would have to see it to believe it, including the electric toilets and beveled glass doors. However, I decided to post a comment because of the restaurant. I have been in China for 23 years and usually travel for business. Breakfast at most hotels is not good, and nothing like in Western hotels. Because of this, I drove to a fancy restaurant and wasted a ton of money on horrible food. The next day, upon checkout, I decided to eat at the in-hotel restaurant and was totally shocked to find two interconnected dining facilities, consisting of a hot pot buffet on one side and an À la carte buffet on the other. I chose the À la carte because my son saw the grilled beef kabobs and had to have it. Here is the best part: When you enter the buffet, you get a small card you pre-charge with money. I charged RMB 300, or about $41.66. You go through the buffet, take what you want, and swipe the card for each item. You only pay for what you eat. There had to be no less than 80 items on the buffet, from vegetable dishes, soups, pasta, beef (tenderloin), rib steak, short-rib steaks, fish, shrimp, traditional noodles, eggs, omelets, various bread, fruits, and many traditional Chinese dishes. There were four of us, and we were stuffed. Ultimately, I returned the charge card and was refunded RMB 35. This means I spent RMB 265 for four people or RMB 66.25 ($9.20) per person for a spectacular buffet. This was hands-down the best hotel experience I've had in China, for room, and dining. I really did not like one thing. A workstation outside deals with tiles, marble, masonry, and maintenance. It does not look good, and that was my view. The laydown area uses part of the parking lot. The yard needs to be cleaned up, and the work site covered or contained in a shop. This is a major management gaff void of marketing awareness. I still rate the hotel a 5-star.

The hotel is fully equipped, the room is clean and tidy, and the stay is very comfortable. The front desk staff are very good, very active, enthusiastic, the service is particularly good, the room has been upgraded, the breakfast is also good, there are many varieties, and I especially recommend this hotel.

If you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me. 1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants. 2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind! 3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed. There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!! Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists. I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them. Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.
