Here's a polished, balanced, and favourable review: I had an enjoyable stay at the Britannia Hotel Coventry. The location is excellent, especially being right next to the bus station, making it very convenient for travelling around the city. The front desk staff were friendly and provided great service throughout my stay. My room key stopped working a few times, but each time the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. I also needed to ask about using the older-style shower hose, and the staff were polite and happy to help. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh towels provided. It was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a kettle, a hairdryer, and an iron, which were all useful extras. The bathroom could do with a bit of a refresh, but it was clean and everything worked as expected. There wasn't any air conditioning, although there was a desk fan next to the bed, which helped keep the room comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The friendly service, convenient location, and good room facilities made for a pleasant visit, and I would happily stay here again.

first room we got was dirty and had what i think was burnt bacon on the floor and some stains on the bed, along with a fish type smell so we got swapped, second room was great though, no window in either room but did have air conditioning so can’t complain. The lifts are not very great very unsettling so we opted for the stairs instead, but the stairwell in some areas was riddled with damp and mould so quite a hazard. entrance is in an alleyway which was really uncomfortable to get in, but based right in the centre which is exactly as we wanted. we staff at the reception was great the lady who swapped us was amazing, and another man there on the second day we informed him of a problem with the lift and he was lovely and kind, would recommend for maybe a one night stay or someone where just to sleep, not a hotel you’d want to stay in for a day. note though that it does inform you on the FAQs that there is no room service during your stay unless you request it before 10am, so no fresh towels each day, which wasn’t a problem for us but may be for some others. photos attached are regarding the first room

First time staying at a B&B and it was a great experience! The train station is close by, as is the city center, and the surrounding area is really convenient. Especially handy for Moor Street Station, where you can catch the train to Shakespeare's birthplace – don't go to the wrong one! The large shopping mall has a fantastic design too! We enjoyed are stay , breakfast was included and had a lot of choice and was delicious, also I want to say a massive thank you to Leanne !!!! This lady is such a great person , she really went above and beyond for myself and my Aunti, my Aunti is disabled and had left her crutch on our train from Preston , on arrival we asked if there was anywhere we could buy a replacement but the shop was closed due to it being Sunday , this lady went to her house after her shift and gave us her late husbands walking still to lend for our stay!!  I just want to let this hotel chain know what an amazing and beautiful person they have as an employee.  Thank you once again Leanne .  And we will definitely be back in future .

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast - bacon beautifully cooked. Hotel bathroom needs renovation - washbasin crazed. One of the reading lights over the bed was broken off.

5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.

Really unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously. Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it. Very very very unsatisfied.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect—situated right by the scenic canal district with stunning views and an incredible selection of great food options just steps away. Our room was wonderfully quiet, pristine, and well-cleaned throughout our stay, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. A major highlight was the hotel breakfast; the full English breakfast was fantastic and the perfect way to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for great views, delicious food, and a comfortable, quiet night's sleep!

Prime Central Location: You really can’t beat the placement of this hotel. Being right by New Street Station makes it a seamless experience for anyone travelling for business or looking to explore the city center. Modern Rooms: The rooms felt fresh and updated. As is standard with the newer Premier Inns, the ”hypnos” beds and modern decor provide a reliable, high-quality sleep environment that rivals much more expensive boutique hotels. The Service: A Bit of a Rough Start My only real gripe was the check-in experience. Travelling for business with multiple rooms can already be a bit of a juggle, and I found the staff member at the desk to be quite abrupt. I had booked two rooms and requested they be on the same floor. Initially, I was told this wasn't possible, which felt a bit dismissive. However, after I pressed the issue, the staff member did eventually check the system and managed to accommodate us on the same floor. The Verdict While the customer service lacked that ”warm welcome” feel initially, the actual product—the room and the location—is excellent. It’s a solid choice for a business trip, provided you don't mind a potentially brisk interaction at the front desk.

Clean, nice room. Close to amenities. Tram is just 2 minutes from hotel. Easy to get around places. Breakfast is not that great; variety is limiteda d especially croissant on day 3 stay is not a fresh ones and not able to split and chew. Generally it's good to stay there
