3-Star Hotels in Okayama Prefecture, Japan

We had a wonderful stay at Kaze Box. The house is spotless, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. The kitchen has an induction stove, pots, pans, and other essentials for anyone who enjoys cooking. There’s also a washing machine and dryer, which were incredibly convenient, especially for a longer stay. The layout is perfect, with a comfortable living and dining area on the ground floor and two cosy bedrooms upstairs. One thoughtful touch we really appreciated was the charging ports provided in every room. If you’re travelling with children, you’ll love the collection of books and toys that help keep the little ones entertained. Parking couldn’t be more convenient, with a dedicated space located right outside the house. The location is excellent too. Happy and Halows supermarkets are only about a 5-minute drive away, and there’s a 7-Eleven just a 5-minute walk from the property, making it easy to pick up groceries or snacks at any time. The owner has clearly put a lot of thought into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay.

Just a 3-4 minute walk from Kurashiki Station South Exit, this hotel has a lovely European resort style. For a Monday, a twin room at only 330 yen is incredible value for money! The room was quite spacious, and the large public bath in the basement was also very roomy, complete with free massage chairs. You can buy tickets for the Ohara Museum of Art at the front desk for 100 yen less than at the entrance. Plus, there's an affordable supermarket right across from the hotel that's open until 11 PM – perfect for grabbing groceries! I bought a bunch of late-night snacks and breakfast for the next day, all for less than 1500 yen.

I'm a repeat guest here. This hotel is impeccably clean. It's a three-story building, so both the elevator and stairs are convenient to use. The front desk, dining facilities, towels, and amenities are all perfectly provided. On the third floor, you'll find a coin laundry, a beer vending machine, and recycling bins for bottles and cans. Each floor also has a used towel receptacle and a microwave. Honestly, it's a perfect hotel where absolutely nothing is lacking.

This is a slightly dated hotel in the middle of Okayama. While location wise it is very centre, the distance from the station is an awkward 1.2km walk, which is just outside of walking distance especially when with suitcases. The breakfast is great but sometimes the staff get overwhelmed and the trays are not cleaned thoroughly. The hotel does not offer a lot facility-wise, with a laundry room appropriate for business travelers.

This hotel is located at a strategic location just right above the train station. It is sheltered all the way. After alighting from the airport shuttle bus terminal, take the escalator up turn left and it is just a small entrance same as GU. Take the lift up to level 5 for the reception. Many things to shop here. Hotel room is a bit small and if your luggage is open both ways, you might have problem placing it down. Take all the toiletries you need before going to the room. Does not provide shower cap though. There is coin operated washing machine in certain levels. View the status on your tv panel and it’s the convenience that I like. Comfortable stay.

The room was quite spacious and clean, and the location was convenient, close to Korakuen. The bread at the front desk was delicious! The only minor issue was that they didn't proactively provide fresh towels for changing, which was a bit different from other hotels I've stayed at.

This was my first time in Okayama, and I chose this hotel. They offer free breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, so you can choose what you like. For dinner, there are two choices: a rotating daily set meal or a fixed curry rice dish. The public bath is a bit small, but it's fine for about four or five people. The hotel is about an eight-minute walk from Okayama Station. There's a Don Quijote along the way, and plenty of restaurants and izakayas nearby, so there are lots of dining options. Convenience stores are also very close. The room I stayed in this time was quite spacious, even with my luggage open, there was still plenty of room. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Okayama. The only thing to be aware of is that there are about five or six steps right after you enter, which can be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.

Location: Excellent! It's super convenient – just exit the west gate of the train station, cross the road, and go through a passage. There are tons of food options nearby; a bustling snack street is right across the road. Shopping is incredibly convenient too, not to mention the mall attached to the station itself. You've got Matsumoto Kiyoshi downstairs, Don Quijote across the street, and Takashimaya. Facilities: The onsen (hot springs) alternate between male and female baths daily. One bath has an outdoor pool, while the other doesn't, but overall, the experience is still great. Service: Each day, you get a complimentary drink or alcoholic beverage at the front desk.

Small hotel with a decent-sized room. The hotel does not have its own parking but there are several paid parking options nearby. Amenities are generously provided in the lobby allowing guests to pick up what they need. Bonus points for the spacious bathroom — I especially loved the shower head which made for a very comfortable shower experience. Overall a pleasant short stay.
