Stayed here before my flight out of KTM. Free airport pickup and drop-off is a nice perk.
The downside: I requested late checkout due to an evening flight, but it was refused and I had to pay half-day rate. That was frustrating.
Positives: Housekeeping staff were helpful (quick with fresh towels and trash), restaurant food was tasty, and the front desk gave a warm farewell. Good for a transit stay if you don't need flexible checkout.
Good obliging stsff - classic an quaint sizeable room - I would say that some guests were noisy to begging with at 1 am in the hallways - should have gone out to a pub the ****** - staff couod have gotten security to deal with them more strongly as it happened twice in the same night. Aside from this the stsff were good

This hotel offers excellent service from the moment you walk in; both the front desk staff and the manager were incredibly polite. The hotel is very clean and well-equipped, even having an elevator. The room was spotless and tidy, and they even provided hand soap. The hotel's location is right in the city center, close to restaurants and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Plus, there's a rooftop where you can enjoy city views of Kathmandu. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kathmandu.
The hotel staff is very courteous and the food at the hotel is delicious. It's located very close to Lord Pashupatinath temple, hardly 5 minutes walking distance. Very close to the airport as well.

Beds in the dorm were really clean and AC was strong. Staff was extremely helpful. Dorms only on the top floor and no elevator if that matters. Location is a bit loud but I don’t think you can avoid it really in Thamel.
Very good, a quiet oasis in a bustling area. It's located in a vibrant neighborhood, within walking distance to Durbar Square, and close to Chinatown, so food options are great. I'll choose this place again next time. Breakfast is a fixed set menu.
Located in Lamatar, Lamatar Hills Resort is within a 15-minute drive of Rudra Varna Mahavihar and Mahabouddha Temple. This hotel is 9.4 mi (15.1 km) from Pashupatinath Temple and 10 mi (16.1 km) from Boudhanath.
Full breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a fee.
Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 13 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms have showers and hair dryers.
Very good hotel for a very reasonable price. Clean, comfortable, they provide water, toothbrushes and paste, shower gel, etc, have aircon, nice staff, young man on reception, Rahul, was very friendly and nice. Can only say good things about this place. Totally recommend.
Pros:
Excellent location - no road noise outside.
Water supply is good - hot and cold water is always available.
Private kitchen.
Cons:
No sound insulation at all; you can hear what's being said outside and in the hallway.
The included breakfast is mediocre.
The room and bathroom were not entirely clean, the floors and walls were not very clean.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it.
Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out.
At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service!
Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on.
I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw!
Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome.
All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return.
As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?
GGuest UserI stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.
SSouled OutClean rooms, wide stairs, daily breakfast, any request can be arranged. The hotel boasts quiet corner, away from whitles, honks and motorcyclists left and right. Short walk to center, can access to halal chinese food after a left, then a right and another left at the junction. All within 5 mins to 10 mins walk. Airport pick up is a plus service. A minimart just 3 mins walk if you need some snacks.
GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed for one night on March 31st. All the staff are friendly and made our stay enjoyable. We ordered several dishes at the attached restaurant and were completely satisfied with every dish. It took a few minutes for the shower hot water to come out, but the staff explained the details in advance so we could enjoy the hot water without worrying. We recommend this hotel.
PPascalHad a terrible experience at this hotel - booked it as a first stop in Kathmandu on arrival in Nepal, place to put my luggage while trekking and a last night before flying out of the country.
There is no provision for bag check - no tag given or the like. Asked if could leave / check my bag was told yes and to leave infront of front desk. Two weeks later when I returned to the hotel bag was still in the lobby infront of front desk. Things were missing of course - none of great enough value to argue, but the fact they couldn’t even be bothered to move the bag a few feet to a closet / holding space or the like is indicative of the way this place rolls.
Tried to book a shuttle for early morning to airport through hotel, listed as included service. Despite confirming and reconfirming, they arranged nothing. Instead at 5:15 AM it became a game of let’s make a deal and see how much we can charge while providing no evidence there was even a driver. In the end I gave up and carted my luggage to the street to get a taxi.
Nepal is a wonderful country - this hotel was a consistent bad experience. Rooms themselves are meh - didn’t try the free breakfast, on site restaurant was pretty good, atmosphere/ food. This isn’t a cheap hotel by local standards - for the price point there are much / many options in the area.
AAnonymous UserBook this hotel at the very last minute as we reached Thamel earlier from our EBC Trek. This hotel is located at a corner of the back street. Just walk 100 steps and you will be able to reach the main street with cafes and restaurants, shops and money changer. Away from the traffic, my husband and I are able to have a peaceful sleep. The breakfast is simple and nice. Staff are attentive and friendly. Room is clean and hot water heater works perfectly well. Highly recommended if you likes boutique hotel.
CChristinalvxingdarenBecause I didn't catch the plane, I found a small hotel temporarily in the early morning.
facility:
Although the hotel is small, the hardware facilities are relatively good in Nepal, which is good.
There is air conditioning, hot water and card swipe door locks, which are advanced.
But there is no hair dryer either…
health:
I still saw the hair...
environment:
Room comfortable
Serve:
The breakfast provided is relatively simple (Picture 6 is the breakfast menu)
The service attitude of the staff at night is good, but the service attitude during the day is average.
In the evening, my friend in Kathmandu sent me to the hotel to pick up my luggage and take me to the airport. The hotel staff was even more hospitable.
TTaracandra YoginBaudha Apart Hotel
The Air is much cleaner at these heights. A lovely view to be seen from the roof top upon the city down below. There is a room up there, for yoga, for exercise, or meditation. An elevator takes you there, but you can climb the stairs, if you wish, especially to prepare for a mountain trek – there is an ample storage room in that regard. Boudha Apart is owned by a Sherpa family, originally from Lukla, so there are many good contacts with the high mountain community.
The hotel is fairly new, and that means nothing is broken. That is to say also, that it is well maintained, that the guests are not a rowdy sort, and they are mindful of each other's tranquility. The rooms are well thought out, and many have a sun facing balcony. Both sink and shower have abundant hot water, adjustable as you like. On the ground floor is a large restaurant, with a diverse menu of local cuisine, and western comfort foods. The basement is a parking garage for cars and bikes. The staff is of good cheer, and supportive of your adventures and plans. They, most conveniently, pick up and deliver to the airport. There is also a car and driver for various tours, as you will.
And finally to say, the price to value is most fair, as one compares to other hotels in the region.
