Self check-in was incredibly convenient (with language options). The room was easily accessible, and the toilet/shower facilities were spotless. The bed space was generous, even with a TV, and the sheets were clean and tidy. The hostel's location is fantastic, just a three-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. I'd definitely stay here again when traveling solo. Highly recommended!

Its location is definitely its biggest advantage. Just cross the street to the market, and you're right on Waikiki Beach's main strip, where you'll find everything – beautiful scenery, food, drinks, and shopping. Plus, there's a Target supermarket right across from the hotel, which is super convenient for grabbing food and drinks.
The breakfast is capped at $20 per person, which usually gets you a sandwich and a coffee, not including the tip. It's not a buffet, which was a bit disappointing.

This is our go-to hotel in Waikiki. They offer luggage storage, and it's easy to call taxis or get food deliveries. The W line bus to the airport stops right outside the hotel. It's an older hotel but always clean, offering great value for money. It's a 10-minute walk to the Hilton and the beach. This year, a hotpot buffet opened right next door, which is pretty good! Also within walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center.

Booking in at reception was a friendly and very easy experience. The room was good but had more of a close up view of bushes than a City View.
The food I had was good, however the bar was often very busy with just one person making the food and serving drinks. I tried to get served a few times but had to leave and returned a bit later for service.
The location was very good for bus services and convenient for walking to local Waikiki beaches and along Kalakaua Ave.

The room was nice, clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was good for the area. The best part was the free beach yoga mats, available morning and evening; you can book them a day in advance.

The hotel has a parking lot, a small gym, and a swimming pool, all fully equipped. There's even a small microwave in the room, which is quite convenient for heating up food. Shell and Foodhall are right next door, and it's less than a 5-minute drive away.
Since it's a newly opened hotel this year, everything looks very new and clean, and it was indeed very well cleaned. There's even hand sanitizer next to the elevator, which is reassuring, haha.
Driving to the airport the next morning only took about 20 minutes, very convenient. I recommend it for a short stay~

The location is great!
I chose an oceanfront room and enjoyed meals overlooking Waikiki Beach, the sunset, and the sound of the moon and waves at night.
I rented beach towels at the front desk and was able to quickly head to Waikiki Beach.
There are many ABC stores and restaurants nearby, so you can do a lot of shopping within walking distance.
The room is small.
The shower is quite small and the shower head is fixed at the top, so it's quite difficult to wash your whole body.

Very good location, lots of bar and restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and cool. The housekeeping is on point, and there’s also a laundry in the hotel. The parking is quite expensive though (around 67$) so we canceled our car.
It’s our second time here, we will definitely choose Ohia waikiki hotel again

I booked a single dormitory. There are foreigners there. The location is very good. The quality of sleep depends on whether there are snorers in your dormitory. Foreigners have a strong perfume smell. If you mind, don't book it. The facilities are relatively complete. You can cook by yourself. There is a public refrigerator and storage cabinets.

Chose it for the airport pick up/drop off, what a pleasant surprise. Great receptionist, she got me into a room early after a long overnight flight. While room dated, it clean, full amenities and comfortable bed. Pool, restaurant and was given voucher for 2 drinks so enjoyed cocktails in the bar with very nice staff. The service was respectful and helpful. I’d stay there again.
The hotel itself is better than expected; You can tell that they went through a massive renovation in order to give a chill vibes based stay (on the outside). Inside of the room, it’s definitely an old hotel… I liked the furniture, but the windows were too open for my liking (you get the feeling that anyone can look into your room); Not as much of an issue since we used the curtains! The bath towels were covered in hair (ranging from long strands to tiny pubic pieces) which I found to be disgusting. The staff were more than willing to switch out the towels (there was still hair on them but a little dusting off mainly did the job). There was tiny pubic hair pieces in the bathtub as well, but I washed them down the drain so no biggie. The main issue that I had with this stay was that you could hear everything that was going on in rooms next door or outside. We heard loud screaming and fighting into the early ams, and it took a while for them to stop. This is not the hotel’s fault, but if you do stay here, keep in mind that the rooms aren’t very spacious, you can hear everything, and there might be hair in your towels. Overall, I really loved staying here and found it to be quite charming. The view in front of the hotel is INSANE. Though I listed negative traits about this hotel, I feel that it’s important to give some transparency to readers of this review. Mostly everyone goes into a hotel thinking that it’s 1000% clean and perfect. However, for me, the negative reviews are what I look for so that I know what to expect. You will definitely love the vibes and views this hotel has to offer, as well as the friendliness of the staff who worlds here.
The room is big. The kitchen is fully equipped. You can cook, which is very convenient. It is very close to the beach business center. Very convenient. The service staff is very good.
Very good location. There are just more budget friendly options near the same location. Service is great. I feel for the price already paid the fact that lunch or dinner for 1 person is almost the cost of another night stay is kind of ridiculous. The best amenities here can be enjoyed without being a guest.
GGuest UserLocation is great and the property is extremely clean and quiet. Our room was very outdated ( early 80's for furniture, carpet, bathroom) but clean and everything worked. It was spacious but bare minimum in kitchen for supplies, the coffee pot is super tiny. My only complaint is you can't extend your stay for late check out or additional day, that really impacts people on hikes and etc. We had to pack our stuff out (530am) and couldn't do late check out to come back to pack and shower. The young desk clerks stated policy for late check out was call morning of after 9am. That's ridiculous because most tourist are traveling across island exploring early. We asked at 815pm night before and staff couldn't give us late check out for next day, that's a deal breaker for us coming back to this property and was absolutely not willing to check or call management, for this reason I would avoid property if you have early tours or adventures. No one wants to pack out 5am without opportunity for late check out.
This was the worse Marriott property I have ever stayed in. There was no water pressure in the bathroom sink. NONE! The shower was extremely SMALL! Someone who was 250-300 pounds would not have fit in the shower. Front desk and housekeeping never answered the phone and I called numerous times. The workers were pleasant but the room I stayed in was sub standard. I will not stay here again.
Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is amazing, an easy 5-10 mins walk from Waikiki beach and close to restaurants, shops, and attractions like Diamond Head trail. As a solo female traveller I always felt very safe in the area, including early morning or at night. The hotel is peaceful, with a lovely bar and cosy atmosphere, and things like free daily slushies and snacks at reception, and biscuits in the room on arrival are great touches. The bar staff are excellent and super friendly. The rooms are large and good standard, with a great boho vibe, although the bathrooms are very compact and damp, and some upgrades around the hotel are starting to be needed. Room cleaning was not always thorough, but this wasn’t a major issue during my stay. For the price point this hotel is an excellent choice and I look forward to returning.
The hotel was clean and the location could not be better. It was next to Wakiki Market and opposite the International Marketplace. It was so convenient we kept going back to drop off our souvenirs before heading out again. Short walk to Wakiki beach and almost right outside was the bus stop.
