Except for the location near the airport I wouldn't recommend this hôtel. It's dirty and noisy. And when the breakfast is included in the price of room, you get coupon for the restaurant. The choice of food for breakfast is very small. And it's either coffee (a very very bad one) or water (a very very small bottle). And then you are allowed to eat in the restaurant and you have to take away and eat in your room as there is no other places to eat. This breakfast is a joke :(

We arrived late and it had been raining hard all night...when we entered the lady at the front desk had a huge smile and was so nice & helpful. When we went to the breakfast in the morning it was amazing. Fresh fruits, different milk/creamers for my coffee and the hot eggs and sausage were delicious! I chose this hotel because of the shuttle & breakfast but were pleasantly surprised with the kindness & the space. When we opened the curtains I was shocked to see that we were next to the freeway. We couldn't hear any cars. All around, great place!

The hotel itself is better than expected; You can tell that they went through a massive renovation in order to give a chill vibes based stay (on the outside). Inside of the room, it’s definitely an old hotel… I liked the furniture, but the windows were too open for my liking (you get the feeling that anyone can look into your room); Not as much of an issue since we used the curtains! The bath towels were covered in hair (ranging from long strands to tiny ***** pieces) which I found to be disgusting. The staff were more than willing to switch out the towels (there was still hair on them but a little dusting off mainly did the job). There was tiny ***** hair pieces in the bathtub as well, but I washed them down the drain so no biggie. The main issue that I had with this stay was that you could hear everything that was going on in rooms next door or outside. We heard loud screaming and fighting into the early ams, and it took a while for them to stop. This is not the hotel’s fault, but if you do stay here, keep in mind that the rooms aren’t very spacious, you can hear everything, and there might be hair in your towels. Overall, I really loved staying here and found it to be quite charming. The view in front of the hotel is INSANE. Though I listed negative traits about this hotel, I feel that it’s important to give some transparency to readers of this review. Mostly everyone goes into a hotel thinking that it’s 1000% clean and perfect. However, for me, the negative reviews are what I look for so that I know what to expect. You will definitely love the vibes and views this hotel has to offer, as well as the friendliness of the staff who worlds here.

The original facilities such as the building and elevators are old. It seems to have been partially renovated, so it's not that inconvenient. The front desk only speaks English, but they were polite and helpful when we communicated our needs. The cleaning staff are also very kind.

I highly recommend this hotel. Considering the price, I was extremely satisfied with everything except the age of the building. I stayed here for several consecutive nights on a business trip, and the front desk staff were always friendly and welcoming. Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were very clean, and the housekeeping service—including bed-making and towel replacement—was impeccable. My stay was comfortable every single day. For this price, the location and level of hospitality were outstanding. I was genuinely impressed. There was complimentary coffee available at the front desk, and although the smoking area was nearby, there was absolutely no smell in the hotel. As a smoker, I really appreciated that. The room came with four soft pillows, and the shower worked perfectly fine. There were also plenty of souvenirs available, which made me wonder how they can offer all of this at such a reasonable price. Now for a little rant. I accidentally packed a jar of jam that the hotel staff had kindly given me in my carry-on luggage at the airport. A particularly unpleasant security officer confiscated it, saying that gel-like substances were not allowed. All I can do is hope that person didn’t end up helping themselves to it. The hotel was flawless. My only grievance is with the guy at the airport security checkpoint. I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next business trip.

I stayed at Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Resort and booked the Signature Courtyard View with 1 King Bed. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient beachfront stay in Maui. The location is unbeatable and is right along Kaanapali Beach with direct beach access. You can literally walk from the resort straight onto the sand. Sunsets here are beautiful, and it is also within walking distance to Whalers Village for shopping and dining. My Signature Courtyard View room was spacious, clean, and peaceful. The king bed was comfortable, and the courtyard setting offered a calm, tropical greenery vibe. One thing I appreciated was the Activities & Experiences desk located in the lobby. You can conveniently book island tours, activities, dinner reservations, and even arrange transportation there. It is very helpful if you want everything sorted without searching around. The pool area is relaxed and family-friendly. There’s also a deli corner by the pool offering drinks, snacks, and quick bites, perfect for something light between beach time. Next to it is the Maui Breeze retail shop, where you can pick up souvenirs or essentials. Another practical feature is the self-service laundry located on the ground floor, which is very useful for longer stays or after beach days. The resort overall has a more classic, laid-back Hawaiian feel rather than ultra-modern luxury and that ispart of its charm.

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and being right by the sea was wonderful. However, if you're sensitive to noise, definitely avoid the rooms in the building undergoing renovation. The construction noise is mostly in the mornings, which is fine since you're probably out anyway. But the sound of the waves at night? It's insane. I'm not sure if the door to the terrace isn't soundproofed well or if the waves are just incredibly loud, but even an ASMR lover couldn't handle this. It wasn't a gentle lapping, but a constant, crashing roar that often kept me from getting a deep sleep. Other than that, parking was easy with free street parking, and the facilities were clean, which was great.

Traveling solo in Hawaii can get expensive, so this place was excellent for sticking to a budget. Inside the pod, I'd occasionally hear people on the phone late at night, but it was generally quiet and I had no issues. The restrooms, sinks, and showers often weren't as clean as they could be, so a bit more frequent cleaning would have been a nice improvement. However, for this price, I don't think there's another hotel that offers a private space like this, so I'm very satisfied.

The room has a distinctly Japanese style, and the soundproofing is excellent, making it extremely cost-effective for a hotel in this area. Just a short walk down a small street leads to the beach and a bustling commercial street. The sunsets at the beach are beautiful, and the main street remains lively late into the night, making the street behind it much quieter. Highly recommended.
