I booked the cheapest room. The picture of the Mingyue Twin Room did not match the room. The window of the room faced the elevator directly, and there was no screen and the buckle of the glass window was broken. I was super shocked! There is a camera in the window facing the elevator. When a cleaning car passes by, it feels like an earthquake while you are lying on the bed. You are speechless. Moreover, the sound insulation between the doors is very poor. People passing by the window talk, and the cleaning people at the door talk. The sound of water being used in the next room... was too noisy. Sometimes the smell of smoke seeps into the room and is difficult to dissipate. The introduction also says about separation of wet and dry parts [laughing and crying], but there is no separation in this room! The advantage is that the room is hygienic, the water sprinkler is large enough, and the heating is powerful. It's okay if you just stay for one night, but if you have high requirements, other room types are recommended.

My time at this hotel was truly excellent. I stayed here during the winter, from 29 Jan -3 Feb. Everything, from the staff's service to the room's cleanliness, the amenities, and even the little gestures, really impressed me.
First off, I got to the hotel pretty late, around 3 AM, and I had let them know beforehand thru Trip.com. A female staff member opened the door, and check-in was super quick and easy. Then, the next morning, when I had a little trouble with the hot water, she actually came to my room to help me fix it, even though it was still pretty early. That kind of professional and helpful service, making sure guests are taken care of, really stood out to me. I definitely have to give them props for that.
The room itself was nice and roomy, really clean, and looked just like the pictures I saw online. The air conditioning, washing machine, bathtub, and projector all worked perfectly. It did take some time for the aircon to heat the room and since it was winter, it can get really cold. They tidied up the room every single day, so I always came back in the evening to fresh towels and everything neatly put back in place. They also offered free Wi-Fi (which I didn't actually use) and free luggage storage, which is a great perk if you need to check out early but don't want to carry your bags around.
On top of all that, the location is fantastic. It's an easy walk to the nearest subway station. The only tiny downside is that since it's located inside an apartment building, getting up the elevator can take a bit, and it can get crowded with all the residents.
All in all, I had a really great experience here, and I'd totally stay again if I ever come back to Chengdu.

This hotel is right by the metro station; you just exit and take the elevator straight to the 5th floor. The lobby has a unique vibe, and you see a lot of international guests there.
The 8-bed female dorm was really quiet. It had all the essential facilities and amenities, including a personal locker and charging port for each person, plus a complimentary bottle of water. There's also a private bathroom/washroom.
I was genuinely surprised that they offer free luggage storage for up to 14 days!
It's only about a 30-minute walk to popular spots like Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road.

This hotel is perfectly located right at the entrance to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, making it super convenient for getting around. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so everything you need is right at your fingertips.
The room facilities are excellent, and everything is spotlessly clean – sparkling windows and all. Beyond just providing for guests' physical comfort, they even offer a fantastic cultural experience with the epic show 'Gan Shan Ren, Jiuzhai Qiangu Qing,' which is truly a rare and commendable touch. The scenery is beautiful, the rooms are peaceful, and the people are even better. The staff are incredibly friendly and patient, always willing to answer our questions, making us feel completely at home.

that's a pretty nice and budget friendly place to stay. the room is little, but there is everything you need to live there for a sport period. the outdoor place is really coy and nice, people are also friendly. thanks to all people working there, we didn't have any issues while staying there.
liked that water turtle in the pool, it's cute
The room is very spacious, and the location is excellent, right next to Lushan Mountain, perfect for a hike. There are plenty of food options nearby, and you can also order takeout. I heard the guesthouse offers shared meals, but I didn't participate. The atmosphere was quite nice, with lots of chatting and laughter. There's a pool table on the third floor, but no one to play with me! 😂 Downstairs, there's a very cute blue cat. When I came back from Silver Beach in the afternoon, it was all alone, so I petted it, and it immediately became very friendly. When I sat down, it came closer and rubbed against me. ☺️ It even jumped onto the table and nuzzled my shoulder! 😀

Location: Changping Town
Perfect for: Travelers visiting Four Sisters Mountain (Siguniangshan) or Changping Valley (Changpinggou).
If you are planning a trip to Four Sisters Mountain, Changping Inn is an absolute gem. Its location in Changping Town is incredibly convenient, making it the perfect base for hikers and sightseers alike.
Dining & Cafe: The hotel features its own restaurant and an on-site cafe. I highly recommend their hotpot—it is exceptionally delicious and a must-try! Having high-quality coffee available right at the property is a huge plus for early mornings.
Cleanliness: The rooms are spotless and, most importantly, strictly non-smoking. You won't have to worry about any lingering cigarette smells here.
Exceptional Service: One of the biggest advantages for international travelers is the staff. They speak English and are incredibly attentive. They provide excellent local recommendations and truly go out of their way to ensure you have a smooth trip.

Staying here was incredibly comfortable. It's about a 10-minute walk to Baoguo Temple, and the bus station and coach terminal are right outside. There's also a street full of local snacks right at the doorstep. The room was clean and tidy, the air conditioning kept it warm, and the shower water was wonderfully hot (much hotter than at the place I stayed nearby). The owner was very helpful with all my questions. If I get the chance to visit again, I'd definitely choose Huajia Homestay.

Location
On a long street with many restaurants and shops along the street and a self service ATM 5 -10 min walk away, including a small market in the mornings. It is a residential area, so you will most likely be the only foreigner, but people are extremely friendly and helpful, albeit the stares. The entrance faced the main road and was well lit. There is a flight of stairs that you will need to go up to get to the hostel area. If you have not tried hot pot, I would def recommend going to the Haichiniu Xianxianqie Beef Self service Hot Pot place which is around 5 mins walk down the road.
Quite far from the centre of the city however it is extremely easy to get to. During the day, there is a close proximity to the underground around 10 min walk, and there is a bus that I took from the city centre to right outside the hostel door where the bus stop was. If you are going through the night/early morning, it is extremely easy to catch a taxi through apps and it is quite cheap (around 40- 70 yen) and the road is very well lit. I felt completely safe in the area.
Service
Chu, the hostel aunty is warm and helpful, and gives you a sense of being home away from home. This included being made some home made dumplings to celebrate Golden Week which tasted delicious! She gave recommendations on places to go and made sure that I kept safe when out. As another review said, it can be a bit difficult communicating if you don't know Chinese as no English at the hostel or around the area is spoken and it can get quite draining/ mentally challenging at times for us, however Chu still tried her best to communicate regardless and I really appreciated the effort. To get around this and to make your stay more enjoyable, I would be sure to have WeChat set up prior so you can use the chat translator and have your google translate app out ready. (N.B Make sure you are able to set up the account and get the WeChat validation/security text through your HOME sim/data roaming as opposed to attempting to set up your account on your E-sim which won't work).
Facilities
It is a hostel that provides what you need. The things that took my British head some time to get around was the shower situation and the bed; namely the shower as it was more typical of an advanced bidet than standard shower. However, it was kept exceptionally clean after my first day there and I did my part of keeping it clean by bleaching it down. The bed is quite sturdy, typical of Chinese beds, so I would recommend bringing a blanket or similar to lay on the mattress so you can get to sleep. There is an upstairs area where you can use the washing machine or wash your clothes by hand and an open area to hang dry your clothes. Make sure you have some cash ready to give to Chu to use the machine. There is a vending machine that you can buy snacks for using the your WeChat pay. There is a seating area at the top where you can sit down and eat, smoke and chat. Once you are used to the different products used (i.e remembering the slippers, using the shower etc.), it becomes second nature and a very comfortable stay (funny story: I was sitting on a desk chair outside my room and being use to the chairs in the UK being quite heavy, I swung myself around and ended up falling off the chair LOL!).
Cleanliness
Like I mentioned above, the hostel is kept exceptionally clean and I had no concerns around hygiene once I got used to the shower situation. The cleanliness is what I can say was a huge benefit to the hostel. Considering how large the place is and Chu is the sole host, it is kept evidently very clean and Chu will be sure to tell you to tidy up too lool. People in China are not a fan of strong smells/ fragranced things so you will not smell bleach or such products but after seeing a storage room, I can assure they are being used!
The photos in the other reviews capture it exactly so you will not be surprised when coming to the place.
GGuest UserThis is not a holiday inn/holiday inn express, (the chain) even though that’s the name. Other than that it’s a fine hotel. They offered free airport pickup service, and were very friendly in helping us.
The hotel is in a very remote location, 20 minutes away from the airport. It’s in a beautiful setting in the countryside, and we could hear birds and chickens outside the window. The lobby is a bit sp****, and the bathroom is small, but it worked for us after getting in late at night.

MM429310****Stayed with my mom, and she was very happy! It's super close to Jiuyan Bridge, which is great for a stroll. The loft itself feels very high-end, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. Any small issues were resolved quickly. Next time I'm in Chengdu, I'm definitely staying here again!

DDav922My stay was absolutely perfect! Xiao Lin at the front desk was incredibly patient; even though I arrived in the early hours of the morning, she greeted me with a smile and processed my check-in quickly. The room was clean, odor-free, and had great natural light, and the bathroom amenities were all there. When I checked out, Xiao Lin even reminded me to take my personal belongings, which shows amazing attention to detail. This place offers incredible value for money, and I highly recommend it!
GGuest UserWhen I first arrived, I thought I was still abroad because there were so many foreigners here. The first floor operates as a cafe by day and a bar by night. The entire third floor is dedicated to guest rooms, which is much more than typical hostels. The bedding is very soft. Many hostels in China have become like shared rentals, but this place still retains the authentic hostel vibe. You can socialize on the first floor, and there are activities on odd-numbered days each week. I believe there's free coffee in the mornings and free music performances at night. They offer discounts for extended stays, so I ended up staying for four days. Overall, it's great value for money, and the guests are very considerate. The rooms are clean with no smoke smell; those who smoke use the small garden outside the first-floor entrance, so no smoke comes upstairs, and it's not noisy at night.
One downside is that instead of a light strip on the bed, there's a small bedside lamp, and its plug takes up one of the outlets, which can make charging a phone a bit inconvenient at times.
BBel.z.bubAmazing service and rooms. Very quiet in general. Staff is extremely helpful and kind.
Beds are soft and fresh, and rooms are spacious and clean. Did not opt to have breakfast at the hotel, but there are several shops nearby, including a 24h convenience store.
It is extremely well located with a metro station nearby. There are also several restaurants at the metro station and in the surrounding streets, all worth trying!
GGuest UserIt was my pleasure to stay here! The workers were very kind and nice to me, and they even helped me to upgrade my room! I am very happy and for 100% do recommend to live here❤️ thank u so much🥰
感谢阿姨让我感受到中国人的超级热情的态度,还有帮我提高房间的水平(给了比我订的更好的),太感谢了! 超级开心,也100%推荐这个酒店❤️非常感谢🥰

GGuest UserVery good location. The staff speaks good English.
Lots of free amenities.
They let me check in a little bit earlier and left my bags for a few days.
But the cleanliness was a real issue, the bathroom of the 10 people dorm that I stayed in for 2 days has never been cleaned.
LLiauKYThe building just about 200m from People's Park Metro station and opposite the road of KuanZhai Alley. Plenty of eateries nearby. Reception is at 26 level. Check in very convenient & the room is keyless security. The unit has 2 rooms, 1 washroom and kitchen. Bed is comfortable, both king size. Both bed rooms have projector, but only can watch old movies for free. Moderate size of fridge can store drinks and food. Kitchen cannot cook, no utensils. Toilet & bathroom kinda limited space to move about, movement have to quite polite. Hahahaas. Corridor a bit dark, the light sensor not too sensitive. Recommended to stay here again. Thanks for accepting international tourists.

MM36373****I booked this hotel for a group tour to Chengdu during the World Cup. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium and the subway station. The breakfast spread was quite good, and while the room was small, it had everything I needed and was very clean and tidy. Overall, the service was excellent.
