The place was clean, the room was a little smaller than I imagined, staff polite and helpful, excellent stay for the price would recommend to those on a budget The lack of local shops on this very smart new development means remembering to buy everything elsewhere

Acceptable as the price, the geographical location is excellent and central, but the service needs a lot of improvement. The level of cleanliness inside the rooms is low, the building is old, and the hotel is on the fifth and top floor, and there is no elevator.

I often come to Egypt for business trips and have stayed in many B&Bs. Let me put it this way, I will not go anywhere else in the future, but stay here. The environment, sanitation and convenience are very good. Another thing is that the proprietress is very good. It feels like home in Egypt.

When we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.

Everything here is great! The location is excellent, the interior decoration is very retro, and the most commendable thing is the rooftop! You can enjoy the beautiful view of Cairo city here. The owner and service staff are very friendly and they are happy to make friends. I spent a very memorable three nights here! Although the facilities may be a little old, you can't ask for anything else at such a cheap price. I love this hotel and I will choose this hotel again if I have the opportunity to come to Cairo next time.

I booked a dormitory, but each person was given their own room during my stay. There were no bath towels in the room, but I asked the front desk and they provided some right away. The elevator won't move unless you close the door tightly, so it may be difficult to get in at first. The cats were cute.

It was cheap and good. I will use it when I come again. The location was also close to the metro, and there were delicious rice shops and small supermarkets nearby.

The hotel is perfect value for money. Right in the heart of Cairo. For the price, you can't complain. Unfortunately, the staff doesn't speak English well, but all requests were met.

This hotel is in a great location and was perfect as a base for sightseeing and travel. Breakfast was included and was simple but delicious, and the staff were very friendly, so I was able to stay there with peace of mind. The accommodation fee was also very reasonable, so I think it was very cost-effective. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would especially recommend this place for backpackers and long-term travelers. However, the showers and toilets are shared, so it may be a bit of a challenge for those who are concerned about other people using them. Still, considering the price, location, and staff behavior, I was very satisfied with my stay. If you are looking for a good value place to stay in Egypt, this is a hotel that you should definitely consider.

Overall, it's okay. It's close to the city center (Old Town), has a KFC nearby, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Hotels in Old Cairo are generally older, so it's okay by comparison. However, the facilities aren't as good as budget hotels in China, which is a common problem for hotels in Cairo.
