The room is clean and hygienic, and the location is good. It's within a 10-minute walk to the pier, and it's convenient to eat and buy things around. The only drawback is that the mosque next to it starts chanting with a loud speaker at around 4 o'clock every morning. I suggest the owner to quickly replace the windows with better sound insulation.

As a person who has extremely high requirements for accommodation environment when traveling, I had a consumer experience beyond my expectations. At first, my girlfriend said that she wanted to try it because there were no bad reviews. I was also very resistant to B&Bs, so I only booked one night and booked Hilton for the remaining two nights. However, the moment we checked into the room, we were both amazed. We immediately extended our stay and cancelled the Hilton Hotel reservation. The room is tidy, and everything from decoration to bedding is very attentive. Even the TV has a Netflix subscription. The room photos shown by the merchant may not look so luxurious because of the photo shooting, but you will know how amazing the room is after you check in. Highly recommended!
The room is average... I booked the shuttle bus for more than an hour, but it didn't arrive in 2 hours. My phone ran out of battery while waiting. The Wi-Fi in the room was not good, it was intermittent. The facilities need to be improved. The location is a bit far from the town, so you can't walk to the town. It's very troublesome to go to the seafood market. If you have the conditions and can book a room, I still recommend staying in a water house~ The water house in Mabul Island is very beautiful~
Overall the room is nice.. clean.. and also big.. check in and check out also easy.. pool also clean and big.. our kids really enjoy to stay here.. the host is very nice and helpful.. thank you so much.. will repeat to stay here again soon.. ✌️
Good reviews. It's a rare opportunity to go with my parents. It's my first time to Malaysia and I don't have much experience. I arrived early in the morning and although it's not time to check in, the boss immediately arranged for us to check in and personally took us to the town. This place basically covers all the activities of island tours. For a novice like me, this is the right choice. Also, the town is really small and the environment is a bit dirty and messy. I should book all the rooms in a homestay. The environment is beautiful and the atmosphere is leisurely. I will book this place again next time.
Also, they also provide seafood processing here. The price is very affordable. The seafood bought in the town is directly processed. The taste is very nice and it cures our Chinese stomach
The location is about 1hr from kota kinabalu, sabah. Kayaked after 5pm, but the water was low the next morning. There's nothing to do and nothing to see at the homestay. Almost all body parts are cleaned with a shower head, I think it's gross. This chalet is amazing, it's a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. We ended up checking in late and checking out early. I liked the butter prawns and veggies.
Amazing location for the sunbears and Orangutan Sanctuary, just 5 minutes on foot. The pool here is a nice relief from the heat, however there are only about 10 sunbeds and then some seating along the wall, so at times there was nowhere to sit and relax by the pool which was a shame. The room was big, the balcony overlooked jungle type gardens and lots of wildlife could be seen/heard. Tea&coffee was available in the rooms, along with bottled water each day. Food in the restaurant was average. The gardens were beautiful, would stay again.
3 star hotel with great facilities. Shower is soo good, the hot water in room we stayed were just perfect. Room is so spacious. I got the room with Kinabalu Mountain View. So nice.

LLimThe only reason I stayed here was because of it location near to the airport. Everything else is good in terms of experience except I was imposed with liability costing RM10 for soiling one piece of their towel. The soiling happened because I walked outside after the rain and my foot got into a mud spot. I came back to my room and I accidentally stepped on the towel. Bear in mind, I had to book their largest room meant for 4 pax because that was the only one available even though I stayed alone. Considering the occupancy is low for that large room, soiling one piece of towel does not justify a RM10 liability damage.
DDwaynismeI gave the room 3 stars because we booked a cabin twin and noticed a strange smell, possibly due to the room being too humid. It would be great if a dehumidifier could be added to improve the air quality.
The room was okay overall. It would be more comfortable if there was a small coffee table and some chairs for guests to sit outside the cabin and enjoy a hot drink, especially in cold weather.
The restaurant managed by the same team serves tasty food with generous portions at affordable prices—highly recommended. The room includes free breakfast, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and hardworking. They made sure the breakfast and hot water were always available for guests.
Last but not least, you can see Mount Kinabalu in the early morning. The view is truly stunning and a great way to start the day.
GGuest UserIt’s similar to hotels/guesthouses in China, and much simpler than domestic budget hotel chains such as Home Inns or GreenTree Inn. Hotels in Sabah generally feel two stars lower than those in China. The one I stayed in in Kota Kinabalu is owned by Marriott The Le Méridien hotel is also comparable to domestic All Seasons hotels, so don’t expect too much.
The sanitation is quite clean, and there are often people chanting sutras with loud speakers in the morning and evening... overall it's not bad.
It is two kilometers away from the pier and takes a taxi for 6-8RM. You can go to the seafood market to bargain for dragon knives, which is quite fun!
AAnonymous UserThis is the sort of place where the staff will always greet you with ”hello, sir/ma'am” whenever they see you. Nice swimming pool and very good food at the restaurant, even though slightly pricy at first (I guess it's fine being a resort), the portions are actually huge and very fresh. Try their lemon chicken on rice for 20 ringgit (February 2024). All you can eat breakfast included for free even with the dorm bed: fried noodles, a very thick pancake, fruit, British breakfast, beef sausages, coffee, juice, etc. Walk-in price is 80RM, cheaper here on Trip. The dorm looks exactly the same as the one I staid in Kinabatangan, which is always funny (same contractor?). Comfortable night, with a new AC and fan, specially so considering I had it all to myself since the other few guests they had had private accommodation. Dorm showers have plenty of hot water and are clean, but there's no soap or amenities beyond the towel they give you at check-in. Bring your own. The staff at the restaurant sometimes disappears for no reason in the middle of service, even if there's about 20 of them considering réception is right there. They helped me book a taxi to the airport (50 ringgit), since there's no grab available (spent 1h looking for one). Don't bother trying to get one, ask them to call a taxi for you, really. This resort is about 1km away from the three main things to do at sepilok. You will be walking on the side of the road to get anywhere since transportation options are scarce and expensive. Overall this is standard of service here in Borneo, so don't settle for less than this.
RRya AidaPros: Location wise. Pizza Hut,laundry service, pharmacy downstairs..Walking distance to bank..For purpose of sleeping/bathing, more than enough..
Cons: No kettle (for self made hot drink), aircond not cold enough (room 203), tv is there but no channel available, no wifi..
AAnonymous UserHonestly, it was better than I expected. Seeing the reviews has lower my expectations but it was good for the price. Maybe will rebook at this place. But we don't have the password for the wifi and i think it's better if there's a heater because at our room has no heater. And i think they should give a tutorial sheet on how to operate the tv since it was an old modal (i think). Overall it was a nice stayy.
CChau Siau ChiiAttitude of the staff here is very nice, helpful & polite, especially front desk.
The bed sheet and floor are a bit dirty when i checked in. Always wet floor near toilet bowl area since day 1, does not dry up easily.
The sound insulation is not very good.
Every morning at 9am,house keeping can be your morning call / alarm. The impact of the cleaner when cleaning other places was very strong. The impact made me feel shaky while lying on the bed. It was incredible.
Overall 3.5/5
FFoo Tuck MengThe street in front seems to be used by motorcycles with loud modified exhaust late at night. It could be the late night eatery right opposite the hotel. What troubled me most was the fire alarm going on & off for about half hour to 45 mins at about 2 am. That was quite disturbing & I forgot to ask what happened when I checked out on December 8 morning. I was on the 4th floor
