Guest UserMindy from Guest Relations pre-arranged a wonderful room for us and thoughtfully provided an introduction to the hotel beforehand. We were extremely satisfied – a perfect 10/10! The hotel's overall ambiance strikes a great balance between ceremonial elegance and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Despite its high-end brand service, it never feels stuffy or distant.

The Hilton Yantai Golden Coast truly stands out as a top choice for sea-view hotels in Yantai! Situated right on Golden Beach, its location is superb, offering direct access to the sea for easily enjoying sunrises and sunsets.
The sea-view rooms boast incredible vistas, with floor-to-ceiling windows bringing the blue sea and sky right into your room. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bedding provides a great experience. Breakfast offers a rich variety, with local specialties like Penglai Noodles being particularly impressive, and the dining service is excellent. The hotel's pool and gym facilities are well-equipped and maintained, making it family-friendly too.
The service is attentive and meticulous. Staff member Mina was very friendly and responsive, which made for a very pleasant stay. The hotel's ambiance is quiet and elegant, creating a strong resort vibe. Although it's a bit far from the city center, it's perfectly suited for a beach holiday. Overall, my stay was perfect, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Yantai.

Our stay at the hotel was overall very pleasant. The hotel itself looks absolutely amazing, it truly feels like staying in a castle, both from the outside and inside. Our room had a beautiful sea view, which created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The breakfast offered a nice variety of options, and the café with its balcony overlooking the sea was a wonderful place to enjoy coffee. The food at the café was also very good.
One of the highlights of our stay was the concierge service. The concierge was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. He assisted us many times with our deliveries and always made a great impression. Most of the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming as well.
The hotel’s location, away from the city center, is actually a big advantage for those looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The beach is not crowded, and the swimming pool is usually peaceful and not busy.
However, there are some areas where the hotel could improve.
The room cleaning service needs more attention. It wasn't good at all.
Some cups at breakfast were also dirty or cracked.
The service at the café could be improved as well. When we came to order afternoon tea at around 5 PM, one of the young staff members seemed unhappy and impatient because it was close to the end of his working day. After making a short call, we were told that the kitchen was not answering and that they were no longer working. This experience did not feel very welcoming. Though I understand he really wanted to leave work asap, he could share it with his coworker after we left, not in front of us 🤣
The hotel also has a Japanese restaurant, but the staff could not provide clear information about its opening days or availability. We were told it might be open on Thursday and Friday, but it was not certain.
Another concern is the small zoo area. animals appeared to be staying outside in the heat all day. In particular, there was a dog kept in a cage outside during very hot weather (around 35°C), which was concerning and seemed unsuitable for the animal’s comfort..
The beach near the hotel was unfortunately quite dirty, which is something that could be improved.
Regarding the swimming pools, the indoor pool felt quite cold, especially with the air conditioning, making it difficult to enjoy with a child when the outdoor weather is too hot. The outdoor pool area also has limited comfortable seating. There are only a few lounge chairs, and adding soft cushions or mats would greatly improve the experience and make the area more relaxing.
Overall, we had a nice stay and enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere, views, and peaceful location. The hotel has great potential, and with some improvements in service quality, cleanliness, and facilities, it could become an even better experience for guests.

Considering the average price of 2000 yuan per night, The Westin is absolutely not worth it. Let's start with the pros based on my personal experience:
1. **Excellent Location**: The transportation is indeed convenient, with a subway station right outside. It's very easy to access MixC Mall directly via an underground passage for dining. May Fourth Square and the beach are within walking distance.
2. **Outstanding Housekeeping**: The housekeeper on our floor during our 4-night, 5-day stay was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful! Seeing that we had both elderly and children, she provided us with ample bottled water every day. After I mentioned how inconvenient it was to only have tissue paper in the bathroom sink area in such a large room, she brought us two extra packs of portable tissues for easy access. Her service attitude truly deserves a thumbs up! 👍
Now, let's get to the serious cons:
1. **Mismatched Hardware for the Price**: The room's hardware facilities are completely inadequate for this price point! Not only is the toilet not smart, but it doesn't even have a soft-close lid? My child would use the restroom half-asleep at night, and it would bang loudly. What they call a 'family suite' is essentially just a room with an extra bed. The pillows were also uncomfortable (here, I have to praise the housekeeper again! I complained to her about the pillows and asked for a buckwheat pillow. She said they were fully booked but would keep an eye out for one, and she brought me one the very next day! Thank you!). The toiletries appeared to be of low quality; most notably, my hair felt noticeably dry even after using conditioner. The hairdryer was also ineffective, with low airflow in cold mode.
2. **Subpar Front Desk and Breakfast Service for the Price**: Our room included two breakfast servings. On the first day, dining was smooth; we just swiped our room card. For the third person in my room, we paid 100 yuan for a guest breakfast. The next day, when we went down, the person at the card-swiping station at the restaurant entrance actually told me that the room only included one breakfast?! I said, 'How is that possible?' She even told me to go to the front desk to ask myself! Finally, after my repeated insistence, she took out the notebook that was right in front of her to check and then told me that it was indeed two breakfasts??!!! At that moment, I really wanted to swear (but I held back). What kind of service is this?
Furthermore, there's no comparison, no harm done. Whether it was previous stays at InterContinental, Hilton, or Sheraton, if our family of 5 stayed in two rooms for three or four days or more (with two breakfasts included per room), the hotels would usually directly provide an extra breakfast without requiring a separate purchase. Of course, after spending tens of thousands on accommodation, a few hundred yuan for breakfast isn't a big deal. I'm bringing this up just to highlight an issue with the hotel's service awareness.

PatricktianEnvironment: The location is quite good, peaceful and secluded. Getting around mainly relies on ride-hailing services or walking, as public transportation (bus and subway) is awkwardly situated between two stops. However, if you're looking for a quiet stay, I genuinely recommend it.
Hygiene: Very clean; the guest rooms and restaurant generally feel excellent.
Facilities: A very new hotel with well-equipped hardware facilities. Everything felt very reliable to use, and comfort levels were maximized.
Service: The service was attentive. Late at night, I asked for some ice, and they promptly delivered a bucket, which was a great help – thank you! 🙏 They also friendly accommodated my request for a late checkout. 👍

Guest UserThe female staff members I encountered at this hotel were all wonderful. When I booked a tent, I was told the beach would be shady in the afternoon, but I actually needed the tent more in the morning. They were very helpful and changed my reservation to the morning. When checking in, they noticed I had a small baby and proactively asked if I could wait a few hours to get a room upgrade to a sea-view room. Since I was going to Mount Laoshan that day, I checked in in the evening and was upgraded directly to a sea-view room. Many thanks to the front desk staff who checked me in and the staff who helped me book the tent. The room was also cleaned very well every day.

Guest UserWe stayed at the Crowne Plaza Qingdao while on a family road trip. It's an older five-star hotel that's been open for years, so the facilities feel a bit dated, but they're well-maintained. The guest rooms have an elegant, understated European retro style with plenty of stone and wrought iron decor, giving off a 'old money' vibe.
We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a spacious 60-square-meter suite. The layout was excellent with distinct zones, so there was plenty of room for the whole family without feeling cramped. At just over 600 yuan, it offered outstanding value for money. I especially want to praise the bedding – it was soft and breathable, making for a great night's sleep and effectively easing the fatigue from our long drive. The front desk staff were prompt with their service and very friendly towards children. The hotel is centrally located on Hong Kong Middle Road, with convenient parking for those driving, and easy access to the beach and shopping areas. It's truly ideal for family travel.

Guest UserFacilities: Absolutely five-star hotel facilities, and the hardware is well-maintained. The front desk gave me a connecting room, which was very convenient for taking care of my elderly parents. Much appreciated. The swimming pool is definitely a highlight, with both hot and cold plunge pools in the changing rooms.
Cleanliness: The housekeeping staff cleaned daily and replenished drinking water promptly.
Environment: The lobby environment is excellent, elegant and grand, and prices are reasonable.
Location: Situated on Hong Kong Middle Road, Qingdao's most bustling CBD. It's within walking distance to May Fourth Square, and a small door from the lobby leads directly to MixC Mall. Extremely convenient.
Breakfast: A wide variety of options; my favorite was the smoked salmon. However, it gets quite crowded during peak hours, and the seating arrangements are a bit too cramped. Not enough space.
Overall, my three-day stay was a great experience. It's the most cost-effective five-star hotel on Hong Kong Middle Road.

ShibazhongyingThis was the hotel I was most looking forward to on this trip. I booked it because it was a 5-star resort, hoping to relax with my parents. However, when we drove up to the entrance, there was no one to help with luggage or direct us to parking. The entrance was completely empty. I thought everyone was busy, but once inside the lobby, I saw plenty of staff, yet no one came forward to assist us. This is unheard of in any 5-star hotel I've stayed at. After we went in, my dad asked where the charging stations in the parking lot were, and if they were fast or slow chargers. The staff member couldn't answer any of his questions, saying they'd have to go ask. In the end, we had no choice but to follow the signs and find the parking ourselves.
On the bright side, the two rooms we booked could be connected by opening a door to form a single suite, which was a nice experience.
Actually, when you approached the staff for something, their attitude was good, but it felt like there were some management issues. For example, after checking out, my mother realized she had left something in the room's refrigerator. I immediately called the front desk, explaining we were driving back to get it and asking if someone could collect the item and leave it at the concierge. The front desk confirmed it was no problem.
After driving back to the hotel for about 20 minutes, my mother inquired at the concierge, but the concierge staff had no idea about it. They had to go ask the front desk, and only after getting a confirmation did they go up to the room to retrieve the item. We then waited at the hotel for almost 20 to 30 minutes, which was a very poor experience.
Overall, the environment and cleanliness were excellent. The location is in Qingdao's new district, and the surrounding area, plus the sea view terrace, added a lot of points. However, the initial bad experience significantly lowered our overall impression. I hope they can make more improvements.
Being able to see the sunrise and sunset over the sea from the room was something I really loved!
The breakfast selection was comprehensive and delicious.
