5-Star Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

We had an excellent experience at the hotel, celebrating my child's birthday. Despite the long travel distance, we enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing holiday. The hotel staff went above and beyond by decorating our room with a ”Pokemon” theme and preparing a lovely cake. When they learned about my child's nut allergy, the hotel manager arranged for a new cake to be made, which was incredibly thoughtful.

The good: comfortable bed, decent cleanliness, working aircon, game console was cool, nice view at #48. The bad: Host expect you to contact them on the day else no sound no pic. Sent a series of pictures and videos, shock to see they asked for deposit and my passport photo as part of their requirements. I’m not comfortable with that. Drivers beware: This unit located at B1-2 is damn troublesome. I had to park outside the gantry and walked all the way to the end of the building (approx 200m one way) to get the card. The guard weren’t familiar with such arrangement had to call another guard over to assist in order to let me into the mailroom to retrieve the access card. After that had to walk all the way back again to the entrance. When I drove to the gantry, the access card didn’t work, guard had to come over again to assist. End up found out it’s because the previous user did not “tap out” so we can’t “tap in”. The wayfinding in the carpark is worse ever. Don’t know where to go up, don’t know where to exit. Turn round and round the entire carpark to find and realised it’s in the middle of nowhere. Now for the accommodation itself, it’s decent. Towels were provided. No toothbrush provided but 8 combs provided instead (pic). The cups were damn disgusting (pic). Overall will not return as the carpark and checkin experience was really a huge turnoff.

Overall the stay is good. If you are looking to recharge and chill, I do recommend. I enjoyed the food as well as the hospitality of the crews. For improvement, some of the amenities are dated. It will be good to enhance these amenities. Suggest to have live music at night. Beach area (not sure if this is within the hotel's control), but it will be good to revamp the whole beach area, making it a cleaner and more comfortable place to catch sunrise and for more beach activities. I see a lot of potential for the hotel to improve on. Keep up the good work!

I had an excellent one-night stay at the JB Renaissance Hotel, and it was absolutely memorable. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. What stood out the most was the excellent service — every staff member I interacted with was courteous and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. This hotel is definitely family-friendly, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay in Johor Bahru.

Appreciated that they allowed us to check in early as we arrive at 11.30am in the morning. The room was comfy and aircon was cold. Had some nice personal touches, like my name on the tv screen yo welcome me. Liked how they had 2 metal flasks that we could refill with water and take on our outings. However felt some things were lacking in the toiletries. Like how they only gave one cotton bud and two pieces of cotton wool and there was no comb. Usually in 5 star hotels there is a small comb. Also my room was further from the main lobby block and there were some loose /broken tiles on the walkway. The pillars also looked old and chipped. Overall had an enjoyable stay

+ Points: 1) Nice & convenient place to stay, foods, shop, massage, haircut, pedicure medicure… 2) Clean and comfortable room 3) Powerful air cond 🥶 but adjustable 4) Shower - water very powerful - Points: 1) Room 12-03, 2 times power tripped, if you are someone scare of darkness - you will shocked and panic 2) No handheld shower head, only shower panel on top, hair will wet if you not plan to wash hair. 3) Sound proof not that great, next door or upstairs shower and drag chair can hear clearly.

🎢 2025 School Holiday Fun at LEGOLAND Theme Park! 🧱☀️ Our school holiday just got a whole lot more exciting — we spent the day at LEGOLAND Malaysia Theme Park.. From 10:30 until 5:30pm .. fuuhh Although we ended the day tired, it was the happy kind of tired - Surprisingly that my Kids brave enough to ride the Rollercoaster TWICE!! Dah Byr mahal kan so kita try main as many games as we can .. but ada gak a few games xmain cause dah xlarat 🤣 & they also got lego in the Hotel .. the kids continue play with the lego in the hotel.. Mama byk kali warning jgn hilangkan .. otherwise nanti mama kena byr RM350 for the lego set 🤪 ************* .. Finally we manage to fulfill our kids request to go here 🤲🏻 So thats all for our 1st Trip School Holiday .. cant wait for the next school holiday trip 😂

Stayed for one night with my wife and was quite happy overall. Here are the pros: The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Eager and friendly service. They always had a smile ready for us. Good spread at the breakfast buffet, while the food was also quite tasty. Nice swimming pool, and decent gym. Hourly shuttle service to CIQ There are only three cons, none of which are the fault of the staff. One is that it's clear the hotel is in a slight state of disrepair, with some cracks in our toilet sink area. Second is the proximity of other buildings to our room, with the block next door able to look into our toilet if the blinds are properly drawn. Third is actually the location. While it is really near the CIQ, it's also, unfortunately, right next to the massive construction site building the new HSR project. It's not so noisy, but it sadly spoils any kind of view. But if you're just looking for a nice place with good service and amenities to come back to, and not bothered by the view, this place is great!

The best hotel on the town.. Untuk rilex n chilling dari kesibukan kota.. Le grandeur mmg tempat yang sangat sesuai dan berbaloi untuk dikunjungi.. Berdekatan dengan Airport senai.. Le grandeur sebuah resort yang Sangat2 sesuai untuk merehatkan diri.. 💃💃

Stay for one week here best place to relax and unwind! The location was perfect… just a short walk to JB Mall, and Komtar is right behind the hotel, so everything was super convenient. Plenty of cafes nearby too! The room and hotel service were topnotch. Nayyan did a great job keeping the room tidy and always made sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was meriah (plentiful and delicious!) and I loved hitting their gym every morning and evening. I also tried their Breeze Spa and my therapist, Diana, had such a magical touch that I actually fell asleep during the session! I felt so relaxed and light afterwards. Overall, I really love Amari JB. If anyone’s planning to stay in JB city centre, you should definitely try Amari too!
