GGuest UserWe are writing to express our disappointment regarding our recent stay. During booking, we explicitly requested a quiet room; however, we were assigned a connecting room. Unfortunately, due to the thin separation, we could hear the neighboring guests talking and moving items late into the night, which resulted in a sleepless night for us. While we understand the hotel was fully booked when we raised this with the front desk, we are frustrated that no alternative solution or assistance could be provided at the time.
FFirdaus BachikThis property should have been due for enitre makeover and a facelift. Depending on your taste, I would say it is far lacking behind IHG, Marriott, SLH, and definitely no doubt why Malaysians spend more in TH. The fact that it’s always overcrowded during weekends and holidays shows strong demand for domestic tourism.
Anyways, glad there is EV Charger. Place is superb for quick weekend getaway from bustling KL. Scenic route thru WCE. Clean beach!
GGuest UserOur stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing. The hotel and the surrounding are stunning, the staff is super friendly and the facilities could not have been better. Upon our arrival, our rental car had a flat tyre and the staff was so helpful and fixed this for us immediately. As travellers from Europe this is an excellent service which is so helpful when you do not speak the local language to communicate with for instance the people at the garage. Additionally, we received a free upgrade of our hotel room from the lake villa to the garden villa, for two nights in a row. This villa with private pool and garden is stunning. All the caves and the surrounding facilities are so impressive and nature and luxury blends together perfectly. This is a must visit.
JJSadlerThe hotel was excellent in some ways, but really lacking in others. The highlights of the hotel are the exceptional breakfast, the best I’ve had in SE Asia, and its delicious desserts and pastries in the lobby. As well as the very good service, with two things coming to mind, one being a free room upgrade, and two allowing me to go to breakfast 30 minutes early (6:30am vs 7:00am). The hotel is very aesthetic and unique in style too, and the tech is certainly interesting and used intelligently. However, they also make some bizarre decisions given they’re a 5* hotel. Firstly, why there is no soap in the bathroom I’ll never know, I shouldn’t have to go in the shower each time to get body wash to wash my hands each time. The shower would progressively get colder with a couple of minutes and be quite cold by 5 minutes in. The bed is far from luxury feeling, with it quite hard, though reasonably comfortable and the duvet cover had some marks on it. Finally, the tech means there are a lot of unnecessary lights around the room, which makes the room a lot less dark. Overall, I would have expected the hard product to be better within a hotel of this class but the soft product was definitely 5*.
GGuest UserMarina Island Boat transfer easy, although I feel a little expensive. Coffee was cold, they had wrong check in information and I almost tripped on uneven block surface exiting building to boat. Check in completed at reception , with correction to booking. We were in a lower tropical garden villa, which is cheapest room. We were lucky to have part sea view and part back of pool view. Other lower villas in this category, not so good a view. This said, room was gorgeous, despite dead moth in sunken bath area. All the staff were fantastic and helpful. Chatted to some people in over water villas, who were disappointed you could not swim in sea from villa, nor enter sea from beach around jetty , due to sea urchins. On the other side of the Island is Emerrald bay. Absolutely stunning! Beautiful beach and sea to swim in. Lots of space for sun beds, but everyday ran out by 11am! Suggest they get some more! Forfeited scrumptious in all restaurants.
AAnonymous UserI stayed during a public holiday and school holiday period, so a large crowd was expected. Unfortunately, the check-in process took over two hours. I queued from 6:00 PM and only checked in around 8:30 PM. Initially, there were two staff members handling check-ins, but later only one remained.
Credit to the staff member on duty he stayed calm and professional despite the heavy crowd and queue cutting incidents. The issue was clearly a lack of manpower and planning. Management should anticipate higher guest volumes during long weekends and streamline the check-in process.
The unit itself was clean, comfortable, and in excellent condition. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, but the check-in experience needs significant improvement during peak periods.
CCOLOR GANThe room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Since it is a new building, some floors are still under renovation.
This was my first experience having a blackout while showering at night. I tried to contact the agency, but there were no staff available, so the only solution offered was a room change. We had to spend extra time moving all our belongings to another floor.
One suggestion is to consider waiving the deposit requirement, or for the agent to contact guests one day before check-in to reconfirm the booking and deposit payment. I had already submitted my deposit before check-in, but the agency may have missed my message. I only received the entry QR code after being stopped and questioned by the security guard, which made the experience stressful.
LLc NgThe Condominium is a bit hidden as it's located behind Impiana Hotel Ipoh. The road to enter the Condominium is not really visible while driving.
The Condominium is newly built, so unit is considered new. The parking is temporarily free until further notice. So far, quite a good stay. The only thing to comment is that, there are quite a lot of Phereoeca uterella at the ceiling inside the unit and also at the corridor. Perhaps, a more thoroughly housekeeping is need.
Facilities are okay but I noticed the people who stayed in other units didn't follow the rules when using swimming pool. Not wearing proper swim attire, no shower before entering the pool, causing the water in the pool to become dirty and oily. It's truly disgusting. Hope the management and security guard can be more strict on this issue.
GGuest UserI booked a 3 bedroom suite horizon view and they upgraded me to one with lake view which was great! The unit has a nice view of the limestone hills and the lake which is surrounding the hotel.
Suite is clean and everything functions well. There’s a water filter machine providing hot and cold water which is a great sustainable element, not using plastic water bottles in their suites.
Breakfast buffet spread is also good with both western and local style dishes.
GGuest UserChecking in was a nightmare to us. We arrived hotel for checking in around 4pm and we found there was long queue for registration. No choice we have to join the queue. After 15mins queuing, we heard the hotel staff shout to everyone in the queue: ”All your room won't be ready soon! It might take more than two hours. We just want to ask for your patient!” No apologies, no explanation. Since the room couldn't be ready that time, we decided to come back later for checking in. We came back to the hotel for checking in around 7pm. Unfortunately still long queue. It took another 3 hours wait for successful checking in our room. Realized only one staff working at the counter and this was definitely hotel management arrangement issue. Think twice for choosing this hotel for your stay especially during peak season.
