Guest UserNice location. Beautiful view. Great service as well. Staff is nice. Breakfast spread is good - although many items were very salty. Same for dinner buffet.
One issue - no lift. So people who cant take stairs are unable to go to bar above or spa below.

Guest UserThis is a very nice hotel that is light and airy, and gives you a sense of being in the country. The staff are wonderful and make the experience what it is. Breakfast and dinner are very good, although it would be great to see more variation. Dambulla town has quite limited food options, so hotels like this are often the only choice for guests. The location is good - near to Dambulla, Sigiriya and only 1.5 hours from Anuradhapura. It would be nice to go for walks near to the hotel including to the lake. It is possible but there are guard dogs for the homes on the path to the hotel which makes for a less than relaxing walk. Overall, an excellent hotel

Hotel location is not biased, easy to find, but it is still a few minutes drive from Kandy Lake. It is more convenient to have a larger supermarket within a few minutes of walking around. If you want to see the lake and enjoy the lake view, choose this hotel carefully. But the traffic by the lake is crowded and the traffic is noisy at night, but this hotel is relatively quiet. Besides, the room is very large, but as shown in the picture, the space is wasted, very empty, and there is no sense of design at all. The facilities are also relatively old and the sanitary conditions are average. The hotel's infinity pool is more distinctive, it can be seen that it is green hills and farmland, because the weather is cooler and there is no experience. Breakfast is quite satisfactory, there is not much impression.

Seerock The King’s Domain offers an impressive stay with super spacious rooms, a beautiful outdoor environment, and excellent service. The only downside—though not the hotel’s fault—is the occasional wild peacock screaming at night, which might disrupt light sleepers. Otherwise, a fantastic getaway for nature lovers.

aiwasukiThe hotel room was incredibly spacious, and it even had a heater, which we didn't end up needing, but the staff kindly explained how to use it. Dinner was a buffet with a great variety of food, and it all tasted delicious. The hotel also boasts an indoor swimming pool and a gym. Its central location in Nuwara Eliya is a definite plus.

DunnoGoWhere.SGThank you for the upgrade to the room with a balcony, and I absolutely love the huge bathroom. Thank you for the friendly service staff who answered my every query.
Waking up to the quiet of Kandy Lake before the rest of the city wakes was a really peaceful feeling and I really enjoyed just standing on tje balcony soaking in the sights.
Loving the wide breakfast spread too, ranging from local fare to continental selection. I was spoilt for choice and my tummy really loved the chicken curry & daal. Thank you.

Bawa's design speaks for itself.
However, the service during peak season was an absolute disaster.
1. Check-in was very brief with no introduction to the hotel's activities.
2. Vanishing Front Desk: On day 1, my requests for water and cleaning during the day were ignored. At night, I called 10 times with no answer. Eventually, someone picked up after I pressed the emergency button twice. The next day, my request for slippers was also ignored. There were no bathrobes in the room.
3. At 12 PM, I received a call reminding me to check out and offering assistance with luggage transport. After I confirmed, I waited in my room for 15 minutes to no avail and ended up having to drag my own luggage.
For a renowned luxury hotel, the service was truly disastrous.

The room looked clean and big, but it smelled very bad, and the air conditioner was very powerful! The buffet at our own expense was really great, and the price was not expensive. The food was better than in China!

A wonderful stay with absolutely breathtaking views. Wherever you look, you’re surrounded by rolling mountains, and the grounds are beautiful with lots of native wildlife; you really feel at one with nature.
The service was exceptional throughout. All staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely eager to help. A special mention to the reception team, especially Jenovia, who was incredibly friendly and helpful, showing us around and making us feel very welcome from the start. The hotel is also very family-friendly, with a small play park and thoughtful touches like towel animals from housekeeping (Ravi) that made our little girl’s day.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, including both Western and Sri Lankan options. A few very small improvements (such as having bacon readily available, colder milk at breakfast, and ice with poolside drinks) would make the experience truly five-star, but these are minor details.
Rooms were clean and comfortable with all amenities provided, and overall the level of service really stood out. If you’re looking for stunning views, a peaceful setting, and excellent hospitality, this is a fantastic choice and one I’d happily recommend.

耳東氵罒幸一止hotel has a history that makes staying here worth the price and experience, walking into the lobby, one is transported back in time to a space of 1800s as they have preserved the hotel in it's origin condition.
the high ceilings with hanging lights, wide red carpeted stairs and antique birdcage elevators adds bring out the beauty and charm of old.
we booked a city view room and was upgraded to a pool view room, where it's less quite and the rooms more exquisite.
hotel breakfast restaurant overlooks Kandy lake, giving the morning meal another layer of admiration as we dine in wood furnitured environment.
location is superb, Kandy Lake and Buddha Tooth Temple just across the street and the Big Buddha Temple less than 25mins stroll away.
lots of good food places around for one to explore and eat.
rooms are old but charming that way, the wooden floors creak and is uneven but that's the fun of staying in a hotel with almost 200years of history.
staff are charming and friendly, always ready to help. a prestigious hotel in Kandy, highly recommended for anyone who visits this beautiful city on a mountain top.
