The hotel is very good. Although the building is old, it doesn't feel old. It feels rich and historical. The murals on the corridors show the glory of the past. The bed in the suite was very comfortable, and the sofa turned into a bed for the children to sleep well. The breakfast was great. In general, Scotland was cold enough to make people feel safe and warm.

We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

While I can’t say I fully enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, that may partly be because we had just come from a really lovely hotel in Aberdeen, so my expectations were quite high, particularly regarding the housekeeping standards, given the hotel’s reputation and heritage. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and general room upkeep felt somewhat lacking during our stay. That said, it was still a good stay overall. The reception staff were fantastic, very professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was decent as well, although we were unable to try many of the buffet options due to personal preferences and faith-based dietary restrictions. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Glasgow.

Exactly what my friend and I were looking for, we were only in the city for 1 night for a concert so for what we needed it done us grand. Rooms are on the smaller side but if it's cheap and cheerful you're after then it does the job, was clean and tidy and no issues whatsoever and if you happen to be heading to the Hydro and taxi's/ubers are an issue at end of the night then, its about a 25min walk back to the hotel.

The staff at the hotel are absolutely lovely and really helpful ..I felt really welcomed and especially Fraser, Louise and David always acknowledged me and we're very personable, asking how my stay was. They made my stay comfortable and I appreciated their care. However, I didn't have breakfast at the hotel and I found it so disappointing that there was no kettle, tea or coffee making facilities in the room. For me, this is a minimum comfort requirement if staying in a hotel along with towels, etc. I also found my room slightly clinical with no carpet and no chair, apart from a fold up stool. It felt very basic and the heater was loud and didn't always come on. I think if a kettle was available, with tea and coffee making and at least a rug on the floor, I would have given a better review.

The room was very much like the one we booked for a triple room. The description said it was 22 square meters, but in fact I think the facilities were ok if it was no more than 15 square meters. The location was a little bit off, but there were all conference and exhibition-related hotels nearby. But the price/performance ratio is very high, suitable for friends with limited budget.

The location is excellent. I booked a superior room and was upgraded to a suite upon arrival. This is the only hotel I've stayed at since leaving London that provided toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers. The front desk staff was particularly nice.

We went to the hotel a little earlier than check in time as we were going to the glee, managed to get checked into our room early and put our bags in and get settled before leaving. 1st time Mum and Dad so this was a much needed night away to ourselves for comedy, dinner and drinks. We arrived back to the hotel at a reasonable time and went up and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the room and enjoy the bath, well needed soak and rest. To top it all off we were both sprawled out on the king sized bed and out for the count for much needed catch up on sleep. Everything that we needed from the room was perfect and hassle free, no noise from the outside or from the bar downstairs and the leisure of an 11am check out allowed up to get up and ready at our own pace. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel.
