The hotel is perfectly situated right on the Royal Mile – the location is absolutely superb! It's just an 8-minute walk from the train station. Be aware that there are some steps along the route, which might be a bit of a workout if you're carrying heavy suitcases. It's a very family-friendly hotel. The bedroom has a large bed, and the living room sofa converts into a double bed, comfortably accommodating two adults and two children. Our room was incredibly clean, newly renovated, and surprisingly quiet. Even though the Royal Mile is bustling with street performers and activities, we couldn't hear any noise from our room at all. Having amenities like a washing machine and oven in the room was a huge plus. Just a note: toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers aren't provided as standard. We brought our own dental kit, so we only needed to ask the front desk for slippers. Breakfast is served à la carte; you order what you like, and top-ups are available if you're still hungry. Edinburgh Castle is a mere 5-minute walk to the right from the hotel's entrance, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby – incredibly convenient!

From a hotel of this level and price you expect more for breakfast. At least delicious coffee :) and a cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom would not hurt either. By the way, about coffee - if you come at 8 am or later, then while you wait for the waiter with coffee you can sit - what prevents the hotel from installing a coffee machine so that I can serve myself is a mystery. The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance. The room is large, the height of the ceilings causes a wow effect :) the bed is beyond praise. There is a gym, a swimming pool, a spa and even a yoga mat and scales in the room - I did not use any of the above :)) They ask for a deposit of 150 pounds upon check-in. You would think that they have crooks living here and I will run away without paying. In general, considering the price, I would think twice - maybe there is cheaper nearby, but not much worse. The restaurant across the road Kyole is simply brilliant! I recommend 👍 and a little further, but also a minute's walk away, a good shop of kilts and traditional clothes, not a souvenir shop like on the Royal Mile. We went to the airport by bus number 100, very convenient, the bus stop is two minutes from the entrance to the hotel, the stop at the airport is right opposite the entrance, the price for two with luggage is 11 pounds, inside there is a place to put bags. We got there in 30 minutes. Everything is convenient and fast.

The space was huge, equivalent to two bedrooms with bathtubs, plus an oversized living room, hallway, and walk-in closet. Gin, whiskey, vodka, cola, designated beers, and other drinks were all free to enjoy. There was twice-daily housekeeping service, and coffee capsules were refilled constantly. I was very satisfied. However, the hotel overall felt a bit dated. The main entrance surprisingly didn't lead to the lobby; it seemed to be more focused on dining and the spa. The actual lobby was hidden on the basement level with no signs.

It's in a prime location, right behind St Giles' Cathedral, and stepping outside puts you right in the middle of the Fringe street performances. The facilities, environment, management, and service inside are excellent, and safety is well-managed. Even though I booked an 8-day stay in a mixed dorm, everyone was respectful, and travelers were very considerate of each other's space. The downstairs bar and restaurant offer great value for money, with guests receiving a 15% discount. The food and drinks are high quality. The only downside was the mattress, which was too soft and made sleeping and getting up a bit uncomfortable.

Everything was well maintained, and the room had all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, and everyone was happy to help with any questions we had. Overall, Ten Hill Place Hotel offers excellent value for money, combining a fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service. After arriving at Edinburgh Airport, I took the Tram to the West End stop, and then used navigation to walk to the hotel. The fare was £7.9 for adults, which I purchased at the self-service machine by the tram entrance. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Scott Monument, close to the city center. I arrived at 9 AM, and since a room was available, they allowed me to check in immediately. I stayed in a first-floor room, and the size was unbelievably large for the UK. Other floors are not like this. There's a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board. Shampoo is provided, but the body wash and hand soap are combined. No toothbrush or toothpaste. However, there's no kettle, coffee, tea, or mineral water in the room. You can get free tea and coffee at the bar near the check-in area on the first floor. There were some cleanliness issues; the underside of the toilet seat wasn't properly cleaned. The disabled facilities are very comprehensive.

The front desk staff were friendly and check-in was quick. Breakfast is served on the third floor, a standard English breakfast with decent quality dishes.

I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket and booked a standard king room with a sofa bed. The room was 27m², which isn't small for a UK hotel. It was well-equipped with a full-length mirror, safe, hairdryer, bathtub, and air conditioning. The room was cleaned daily, which was great. My only minor complaint was that the shower pressure wasn't very strong. I booked the hotel through Trip.com, and because it was a third-party booking, the hotel didn't require any deposit. The room included a daily breakfast for three people, and the breakfast spread was quite generous. Breakfast hours were from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM, which was perfect for sleeping in. Since Edinburgh isn't a huge city, most major attractions were within walking distance. An Uber to the castle cost around £9. There are Tesco and Sainsbury's supermarkets nearby, as well as many Chinese restaurants. The location is excellent and I highly recommend it.

I really like Adagio Aparthotels and the Edinburgh location on the Royal Mile is the best I’ve experienced. I liked the layout of the studio I had with a Murphy bed to allow you to change the space as desired. Having a kitchenette allowed me to save money on meals and eat when I felt like it. The laundry facilities were easy to use. I was on the 4th floor and had a stunning view of Arthur’s Seat as I walked to my room. The staff were friendly and helpful and asking them to call a taxi was very easy. Will definitely stay here again when I’m next in Edinburgh. Oh and it’s just a few doors down from the Islander Workshop to put together your own purse (Canongate location) if you decide to do that!
