The hotel room is huge and very comfortable for a family of 3. The bed is enough to accommodate us and our teenage son. The decor of the hotel is very nice, the swimming pool is fantastic if you want to do some burning of calories after all that delicious Beijing duck dinner. The location of the hotel is just minutes away from the Wang fu Jing shopping district. The hotel service is fantastic and we wanted to specially mention Mr Yang for helping us to arrange for a car to the Great Wall.

I had an incredible experience at Sofitel Beijing. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I especially loved the spa-like bathtub. My children enjoyed soaking in it after a long day of exploring the streets of Beijing. The hotel is located in a great area with plenty of delicious food options nearby, and the train station is just a short walk away. Jackie at the front desk was extremely helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Thank you, Sofitel Beijing, for making our vacation so memorable!

The staff there are all very polite and friendly, constantly greeting you when they see you!! When they do their room service they take it seriously as it is always spotless, they also are very aware of your things and will place them neatly if they were in the way. Overall we are quite satisfied except 2 things we were not satisfied. Food quality is average for its price. The shower has some issues as it turns from ice cold to burning hot water in under seconds without adjusting the temperature which is one of the major problems we had. Hotel next to the walking street (not on walking street), opposite is entrance to metro station. Walking to the Forbidden city and the many food options. Service is very quick, they speak english too, breakfast is good. Laundry is free, even has steam ironing equipment which is excellent. Only 2 downsides: 1 elevator for the whole building, waiting time a bit longer, in room air con is too hot (the first day the lady has to bring the cooler to our room to solve the issue).

Excellent location, incredibly helpful staff at the concierge, entrance and front desk. I think it is an intern season as many of the hotels we checked into this trip had a lot of interns. All of whom were eager to help especially the bellboy at the entrance! Job well done! The waitstaff at the lobby drinks area could be a bit more friendly. He was either awkward or just uninterested, we couldnt tell. Cleanliness of the room was impeccable, room service was prompt and discreet. Nothing we could fault. The extra bed was terribly hard and uncomfortable though, i would not recommend getting the extra bed. Even the couch in our suite was more comfortable than the extra bed. Breakfast was acceptable although we have had better ones in other hotels during our China trip. Would stay here again on our next trip to China. Its within walking distance to DaDong peking duck, WangFuJin pedestrian street as well as TianAnMen Square.

The service really shone through this trip. It was warm and friendly. They upgraded our room, and the room was wonderful. The massage chair was phenomenal, and we spent a lot of time in it. We also went to the spa, which was absolutely fabulous. I loved the attention to detail and the clean mellow environment. The pool was 20 meters and had a jacuzzi, we both loved it. Happy hour had a good variety of drinks, and the coffee was good. The food was delicious. The bed was comfortable. The design is elegant and refined. It was definitely value for money. We loved our stay here, and definitely will come back.
