The layout of the room is reasonable, the king-size bed is very comfortable, and the hotel service is also very good. The front desk staff took the initiative to ask and introduce the local road conditions. The concierge will help you park the car. If you misread the date and booked the room for the next day, the front desk management staff also helped to adjust the order. Check-in felt very good, and stayed for another night.

Next to the hotel is the Adel Shopping Center and Selfridges, which is very convenient for shopping. It is quiet in a busy area and the hotel service is also very good. The room is relatively large. The breakfast tastes average and is more Western. When booking a room, you can consider not including breakfast and buy it when you need it, so as not to waste it because it does not suit your appetite. Because it is in the central area, you need to wait for 10-15 minutes to take a taxi. Overall, I am quite satisfied and will stay here again next time I come to Manchester.

Loved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome. Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in. The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added??? But it was still good nevertheless. The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points. Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well. Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

This was my second visit. My first stay was good and I was happy. Not this time and it was only because at 7 am until evening, there was a strange noise coming from the side of the room. It started with two bangs, then sound of machine or a pulley. First I thought it was the lift but then I heard whoosh of water so I assumed it was a water pump. Then two more bangs and it would continue for 3 minutes and stop. It would repeat after 3 minutes. It went on and on and I couldn't sleep extra. In the afternoon I couldn't take a nap. At least in the night it was quiet. I spoke to lady at the reception at she said there were no more single rooms. Then she asked me how long I was staying and I said one more night ( I was there for two nights ). Then she repeated there were no more rooms. She said maintenance will come and have a look. Three hours after when I went back to the reception, and asked the lady what time the maintenance personnel would come, she called them but there was no answer. She checked the time and made a guess the reason they might not be answering is that they might be on a lunch break and promised to send them to my room as soon as they returned. I said to her that even though they are unable to change the room, I wanted them to know that this is a problem and it was annoying me. She made sure to write my report. The lady was really trying to help me and was apologetic but no maintenance personnel cam eo the room and no one said what that noise was.  The breakfast was English and as it is at hotels. Tidy and well organised dining hall and friendly staff. The room was small and had a small window with curtains which was not hooked properly so in the night, the light from the building outside shone in the room so had to fiddle a bit with the curtain to cover. It was still a comfortable room if it wasn't for the banging noise and the machine/pulley whizzing.

What can I say. Entrance to hotel is nice as you walk and goes down there. Place is clean yes, but shows age. Lifts work and large. But, going down press button. But, blanked out or no indicator or level. Room and whole level 4 I was on had heating on middle of heat wave. Got to Room and found vents for air con, but busted control. Light fitting in bathroom blinked, Room. Felt aged and had open light bulb in closet. Was clean yes, but didn't feel 100 level. No way to turn heating off when I came back from gig. Ended up running Bath on. Min temp to cool down and sleep and off. By 4 am room with basic fan was just about cool enough to sleep. On entry back to hotel from gig had heavy handed security list checking even though guests had cards. Got my room no mixed up. But, gave name and ended to being marched to the desk to confirm my room and that I'd paid. Security guard told me that there is no way I had booked in when I had. No apology when it's confirmed I was a guest. Wouldn't stay again as hotel needs clear investment and feels like it would be a 40 quid a night level normally, but gig pricing raised costs. Now have a bad back and aching from sleeping in a bath for 90 quid and generally sore and tired. First time using Britainia should of gone with Travel lodge, IBis Brands or Premier Inn as nice front, but very dated and poor brand and rooms.

The service was great and the waiting area was fabulous. The only problem I would say that the amenities given in the rooms are ridiculous. In what world the hotels started to not give free waters per day just to save the planet???? Other than that, I would also criticize the lack of cleaning tools given in bathrooms. I couldnt find any cotton swaps.

I stayed the day before and booked an extra night but had to move room which was very smooth move. Firstly the was a poo stain on the toilet lid when I checked in and then later when I took a bath it was that hot that I burnt the bottom layer of my foot from the water. There is no way it should be running that hot. Then once I managed to cool my foot down and the bath. I burnt 2 of my toes just from touch the side of the taps. A very different experience from my first night stay and you can see from my review

I booked this hotel as it had a bath. The plug didn’t fit the whole so I couldn’t relax and have a bath. It was on a main road where a new tram stop is under construction. Post midnight there was workmen continuous drilling. I found chewing gum under the bedside shelf. There was single glazing, the fitted moving window to block our noise was broken and wouldn’t close as my photo shows.
