Very happy staying in The Times Square Edition! Comfortable beds and beautifully designed rooms, everyone is friendly and kind and helpful, big shout out to Shar, who was exceptional when assisting with the check in process! The staff at breakfast restaurant was cold though, but the food was beyond 5 star. Will definitely come back to stay here next time!

Horrible experience with Service & Unnecessary charges a) After charging $40 + taxes, they give $30 free meal voucher every day. After Day-1 i realised it was more economical to not use the $30 voucher. Sounds strange but its very Interestingly structured. One orders an Avocado toast for $29 (within budget) from the in room menu. The guy delivers in 30mins with a bill of $52 of which its $29 of food, $10 of delivery charges and $13 of taxes totalling to $52. So 1st you are charged $40 as City charged and in lieu of that the coupon of $30 for food given to you even if u stuck to your understanding $30 you would have paid more than $52 means extra $22 It gets more interesting when they tell you, that you cant use this $30 for breakfast. This is like a Ponzi scheme. b) One of the rudest In-room dining call you will ever attend. I asked what is XXXXX, revert: you should read about it, this is not in my job profile, I only take orders. Fab experience 😍 c) I requested that since i was lactose intolerant could the hotel be kind to deliver 1/4 cup of Almond milk, just enough for a cup of tea. I am told that is possible and then a full cup of milk with $10 + taxes = $13 is charged for simple request of Almond milk. d) You are not eligible for even a single bottle of water in a so called 5star hotel or so. e) Servicing the room was not in list, had to go twice over to reception to ensure that room no is added to list of rooms to be serviced in the day. f) The Coffee machine wasnt working and one had to request for a simple electric kettle to warm water for tea/coffee. g) The Jet spray in the washroom commode was jammed and not working.

The renovated rooms are nice, though the bathroom is a tad small. The location is excellent, especially for those wanting to catch Broadway shows. The subway is just a short walk away, and it's incredibly convenient to head to Times Square early for photos – you'll have all the best spots to yourself.

This hotel boasts a highly convenient location in Lower Manhattan. It's just a few minutes' walk to the ferry terminal, and a pleasant 3-minute stroll along the river will bring you to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. A subway station, providing R and W lines with direct access to Queens and Brooklyn, is situated right across the street. Wall Street is also just a 5-minute walk away. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, featuring a very comfortable bed. The bathroom facilities and towels were spotless. A heads-up: guests should bring their own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The front desk is on the second floor, where you'll find a refreshment area with a microwave; drinks are available for purchase. Luggage storage is conveniently located on the ground floor, which also houses a Western-style restaurant and an adjacent bar. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money and comes highly recommended.

Times Square New York|4.38km from city centre
I had mixed feelings about the hotel. While the location is excellent, the noise level was unacceptable due to its position at a main intersection. I struggled to get restful sleep, as I was frequently disturbed by the constant sound of ambulances and NYPD car alarms. Although the hotel is generally clean, it’s undeniably an old property—let’s call it ”legacy” or ”historical.” The room was spacious, which is a positive by NYC hotel standards. I rated the service just “1 star” because my interactions with the staff were consistently disappointing—from check-in to check-out and even with baggage storage. It was evident that the staff had a “just doing my job” mindset instead of showing any commitment to excellence or enthusiasm for providing a positive experience. When I tried to arrange for baggage storage before heading to Boston, the staff at the counter was unyielding, insisting they couldn't accommodate me even with payment. I understood their concerns about limited space, but I was frustrated by their failure to suggest or offer any alternative solutions. However, I am pleased to say that when I returned from Boston, I was relieved I had chosen to spend the remainder of my NYC trip at Staypineapple! Given how competitive hotel services are, I appreciate that Staypineapple’s service standards were the complete opposite of THE NEW YORKER.

The hotel is good and the location is fabulous. Maybe that makes the staff not care about customers as they know people are going to bring business to that location anyway. I think the staff needs to understand that they do not need to be so inhospitable and unwelcoming in nature. They do not even look up to you even if you are waiting there for 2-3 hours. I reached 2 hours early and opted to sit in the lobby when it was 3:05 pm I asked for the room as I checked in earlier the host said please wait there and showed me her hand briefly pointing straight. Now she is extremely busy and wants me to understand that she asked me to stand by pointing straight. Not understanding her hand gesture, I returned to sit and at 3:20 I went to her again (mind you she is very busy doesn’t even look at you even if you are waiting right in front of her). This time she said oh you did not stand so my colleague did not help you. Although was sitting just in-front of the desk. That’s when I lost it as I was hungry , tired and exhausted and said “I might faint now I cannot keep waiting for you honestly”. That’s when she handed me a key immediately. My question is, if she can give a key why so much hassle to someone who checked in 2 hours prior? What is this sadistic pleasure? Anyway guys you can go there just expect the staff to have a “I don’t care” attitude. The staff thinks that the money we spent for their room is something they are entitled for. The room was small but clean, which was my priority.

The location of the Holiday Inn is excellent. It's situated between Sixth and Seventh Avenue, making it easy to walk to the subway station and Times Square. The hotel rooms are not large but they are clean and tidy, and they come with a safe and a hairdryer. Breakfast is free and includes fruits and juices, as well as bagels, cupcakes, and nut bars. If you're in a hurry, you can also take it to go. The most unforgettable person for me was Ms. Nadine. She helped me get back the passports for me and my family. I forgot to take the passports out of the safe when I checked out, and I only remembered when I was about to leave New York after spending the whole day out. I rushed back to the hotel and, in my panic, I told her the wrong room number. Ms. Nadine was very patient and compassionate; she let me go up with her to check. At that moment I found out I had given her the wrong room number. I am truly very grateful to her. I will stay in the Holiday Inn again.
