I recently stayed at your hotel and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed with several aspects of my stay. Upon arrival, I noticed what appeared to be blood stains on the curtains, hair left on the towel/flannel in the bathroom, and marks on the table surfaces. I have attached photographs for reference, as I feel these are basic housekeeping standards that should have been checked prior to a guest arriving. I also experienced multiple issues with food and service during my stay. I ordered a charcuterie board, however the Parma ham and other cured meats appeared dried out, discoloured and no longer fresh. Unfortunately, after eating it, I also felt unwell afterwards, which was particularly concerning. Later, when ordering dinner, I asked for a croque monsieur but the staff member repeatedly did not understand the order, despite me explaining it was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I was eventually advised to order a panini instead. Additionally, I ordered truffle fries but was informed they were unavailable. I agreed to normal fries, however what arrived were heavily seasoned thick-cut chips which were completely different from what I expected and unfortunately not enjoyable. Another issue was the iron provided in the room, which had black residue/staining on it and ended up marking my top, which was very frustrating. As I had booked the stay primarily to relax and enjoy a quiet evening in the room with room service, it was disappointing that the overall experience did not feel comfortable or enjoyable. What disappointed me further was that upon check-out, nobody asked how my stay was or whether everything had been satisfactory, despite the multiple issues experienced throughout my visit. I wanted to bring this to your attention as I do not usually complain, however I felt the overall standard of cleanliness, food quality and service fell below expectations. Kind regards, Karolina

Highly recommend this apartment! Our family (one adult, three children) had a very satisfying stay. The beds in the room were super comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. The best part was having a washing machine in the room, which solved the hassle of doing laundry during a long trip. The hotel has an elevator, making it easy to carry luggage. Although the walk to the busiest downtown area goes past the art museum and is a little bit further, it was a pleasant stroll. During our stay, another guest's cooking smoke triggered the building's fire alarm, which shows that the hotel's fire safety system works very well and gives peace of mind. The staff were very friendly. It was a great stay!

Conveniently located near New Street Station, just about a 10-minute walk away. Close to a market and large shopping malls, making it super easy to stock up on food and do some shopping. The front desk staff were friendly. The room facilities were well-equipped, though it's a shame the kitchen didn't have an oven. Great location, but it can be a bit noisy at night.

After unable to leave Birmingham, We decided to stop at the Clayton again and give it another night from the bad system issues they were having. This was a lot better granted and the floors are very secure having floor locked to your key cards to get access. Breakfast we were earlier down and it paid off. Breakfast was better this time. Only little issue was the bathroom could do with a bit more attention to detail with little bits of little black mold in the more harder to reach areas and red residue in the grouting in the tiles. Apart from that sure I’d sure recommend it for the pricing

The hotel is decent, and the location is quite convenient. The front desk service was just okay. Breakfast selection was a bit limited, but the taste was pretty good. Transportation is very convenient, especially for getting to the train station. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a local experience.

Hotel is in a great position at the top of Broad Street, greeted with a smile at reception and the room was ready early which was a bonus.  The twin room was on the 15th floor with great views over Edgbaston. The only fault was the bathroom door was very heavy and wouldn’t close. This was reported and reception did offer to move us but we had already unpacked.  The biggest disappointment was breakfast - we saw photo in the lift and it looked great especially as my daughter is dairy free. However there were no blueberries or raspberries or strawberries or blackberries and when we pointed this out the lady behind reception said it was a case of false advertising - nothing was offered as compensation so all in all very disappointed.

The location is absolutely perfect—situated right by the scenic canal district with stunning views and an incredible selection of great food options just steps away. Our room was wonderfully quiet, pristine, and well-cleaned throughout our stay, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel's location isn't great. You have to go through a park, and it's quite out of the way, so it's best to take an Uber. However, the environment is decent, and it's a chain hotel, so it's pretty well-managed. The bed is quite comfortable, and the cleanliness is good. The overall space is a bit small. Luggage storage is very insecure; it's just a pile in a storage room with no labels and no one watching over it. The air conditioning in the room blows directly onto your head, which is a bit uncomfortable, and there's no outlet next to the bed for charging. Overall, besides being clean and tidy, everything else is just so-so. I booked it to save some money, but now I think I should have just booked a place near New Street Station. Birmingham, though, is a nice city. It's not too expensive, and there are plenty of places to explore.
