Conrad Hotels in Beijing

This place has its merits, and the location is good. However, the front desk lady who checked me in had the worst attitude I've encountered in all my years of staying at hotels. As a Trip.com Black Diamond member, I'm entitled to a free room upgrade. When I inquired about it, she simply said they were full, but if I paid, an upgrade was available. This kind of attitude is really subpar. (Perhaps the lady with her hair up was inexperienced.) Honestly, I've stayed at Four Seasons, Rosewood, Park Hyatt, and China World, and I've always received upgrades. Of course, if there are no rooms, a polite refusal is understandable and acceptable. The room itself was a bit disappointing; the toilet lacked the usual amenities found in Hangzhou, Xiamen, and Shenzhen. However, the short-haired lady at the front desk the next day completely erased my bad impression. She was polite, patient, and had a sweet smile while assisting my friend and even gave us a small gift box. Based on her excellent service alone, I would definitely stay here again.
