Overall, it's a good hotel in all aspects. The young man at the entrance immediately offered to help us with our luggage as soon as he saw us. After checking out, a lady in a cheongsam gave a teddy bear to my child, who was very happy. However, there was one strange incident: we didn't touch any drinks in the fridge, but housekeeping claimed we drank a bottle of Alien electrolyte water and withheld a 15 yuan deposit. When we called to inquire, they quickly processed the refund for the 15 yuan, so their problem-solving efficiency was excellent. But it's still quite strange where that drink went. This minor incident didn't affect the overall experience; the hotel is still very good.

Overall, my experience of staying here was exceptionally satisfying, and I must give it plenty of praise. Ava, the front desk staff, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. She handled the check-in process efficiently and quickly, patiently explaining the breakfast hours, parking locations, and the rules for using the gym, self-service laundry facilities, and other amenities. She also kindly provided suggestions for getting around the area. Her demeanor was gentle and patient, and there was absolutely no sense of perfunctoryness. The rooms were spotless, the bedding was soft and clean, the bathrooms were free of water stains and odors, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, pastries, and fruits, all of which were fresh and delicious. The hotel’s free parking lot had plenty of spaces, making it convenient to park and exit. The gym equipment was well-maintained, and exercising during leisure hours was very enjoyable. The self-service laundry facility was fully equipped, solving the problem of laundry during travel. The cleaning staff were prompt and courteous, and responded quickly to any requests. This entire hotel offers excellent value for money, with attention to detail in every aspect of service. It’s perfect for both business trips and leisure stays, providing a comfortable and secure experience throughout. If I were to visit this area again, I would definitely choose this hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling.

Five-star review! This stay was particularly heartwarming, and I especially want to commend Beibei at the front desk. Beibei checked us in on our first night in Beijing. She was warm and welcoming, and spoke so gently. Seeing that we had a child with us, she thoughtfully gave us a small electric fan, which was incredibly considerate given the hot Beijing weather. During our stay, she even proactively contacted us via WeChat, letting us know we could reach out to her anytime if we needed anything. On our departure day, we were delayed at the Summer Palace, and Beibei went above and beyond to help us get a late check-out, solving a real problem for us. Meeting such a kind and attentive staff member during our trip truly warmed our hearts. Beijing is a city worth visiting again and again, and next time we're here, we'll definitely choose Joy City Hotel again, and I hope we get to see Beibei! Highly recommended!

I came to Beijing for a visa and also took my child to Universal Studios. The 1.5-day ticket plus one night's accommodation was actually quite a good deal. We added two breakfasts when checking in at the front desk and were upgraded for free to a Minions-themed room. The overall environment and hygiene were acceptable, but in terms of price, it wasn't particularly good value for money, given it's a tourist resort. I can accept that for now, but I have a few minor suggestions. Firstly, the hotel's bath towels seemed to have been washed repeatedly, showing signs of wear and tear, with loose threads and holes. Although we brought our own towels, seeing those was a bit uncomfortable. Secondly, regarding the details, the room felt a bit cramped. It said it could accommodate four people, but it was already enough for two. There wasn't much space for luggage. Also, the bathroom door opened outwards, and the anti-slip mat at the entrance would block it, getting pushed away every time the door opened, which was very inconvenient. I hope this can be improved, especially since we were traveling with a child, and we hoped for more safety and convenience. I hope the hotel sees this and finds it useful. Breakfast was very rich, almost like a full meal buffet. If you can eat a lot in the morning, I recommend filling up, as it won't affect your energy for the day. We weren't hungry from 8:30 AM until 3 PM, which might also be because it was hot and we drank a lot of water. If you have the option, try the breakfast; it's all good stuff. During peak tourist season, especially summer vacation, bringing children here requires careful consideration. If conditions permit, I suggest adding a VIP Express Pass (Universal Express), which covers 14 attractions with almost no queuing. Our 1.5-day experience taught us it's best to finish playing before 2 PM, as more visitors enter at 2 PM and 4 PM. On our first day, the experience was terrible; it was crowded everywhere. However, on the second day, with early entry and the Express Pass, the entire experience was excellent. Traveling really needs a good mood and state; otherwise, it's just suffering. I honestly don't recommend rushing through the park with small children. If your child is still young and under 1.2 meters, I sincerely suggest choosing a non-holiday period. Overall, my Universal Studios trip was quite good, especially the major attractions, which were well worth playing. For example, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Transformers: The Ride 3D, Jurassic World Adventure, DeceptiCoaster, and Flight of the Hippogriff. I highly recommend watching WaterWorld. If you can experience these, it's already worth the ticket price. The light show after 8:20 PM was extremely crowded, and I personally didn't enjoy it much. Whether you see it or not, if you have limited energy, it's better to head back early. For 2-day or 1.5-day tickets, maybe try a quick peek on the first night. For 1-day tickets, watching videos online might even be better than being there in person. One more small suggestion: could the craftsmanship of some merchandise in the gift shops be more refined? Although the prices aren't as expensive as Disney's, I still hope for more perfection. My daughter said maybe all the effort went into the attractions, haha, maybe so. Regarding the food in the park, I thought it was all pretty good. Some items can be exchanged for an additional 5 RMB, which is quite a good deal. I hope the above information is helpful to everyone. Beijing Universal, see you next time!

The hotel assigned us a butler, and the service was excellent. The breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and varied. At Tuotuo Bay, you can catch fish in a jar – it would be even better if you could grill them right after catching! The hotel organized a wide array of activities. For example, the 'Bug Patrol' activity took us into Air-Raid Shelter No. 67 to catch insects. They also prepared a very engaging presentation (PPT) for us. Before making butterfly specimens, they seized the opportunity to impart a lot of insect knowledge to the children. [Complimentary Hot Spring Ticket] Jingzhihu Hot Spring Center Single Ticket: The hot spring offers free Hami melons, cherry tomatoes, and oranges. Swimsuits are a bit expensive, so remember to bring your own or order delivery.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the subway station, making getting around incredibly convenient. The front desk service was warm and efficient, leading to a great check-in experience. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and everything was delicious. It's great value for money; I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip or vacation. Highly recommended!

The hotel's overall environment is excellent, and there's ample parking (though it can get a bit tight during peak holiday periods 😅). They have plenty of charging stations, both fast and slow, which is very convenient for electric car owners. The hardware facilities are robust, and there are many family-friendly room types that kids will love. The entertainment and dining options are also extensive – kids basically won't want to leave once they arrive 🤭. Choosing a package is more worthwhile, as it includes three buffet meals (the food selection is rich, and you can even enjoy four different flavors of crayfish 😄) as well as a late-night snack. All activities within the hotel are free for unlimited access (though some special ones require an additional fee, and some activities may have queues when it's crowded). All staff members provide very warm and thoughtful service. In summary, this is definitely a hotel I'd want to visit again, offering excellent value for money!

The hotel's location is excellent, with very convenient access to public transport and the subway. Most importantly, right outside the hotel is Tianqiao Roast Duck (the branch near the General Administration of Sport, where even athletes and celebrities queue to eat). A 500-meter walk takes you to Ya'er Li Ji for breakfast with their tofu pudding and beef buns, then braised pork noodles for lunch, and mutton spine hotpot for dinner... there are countless delicious food options, though I only have one stomach! The room service was great; the cleaning staff were very thorough and meticulously cleaned, also thoughtfully replenishing our bottled water daily. Overall, it was a very comfortable and satisfying stay with a fantastic experience. Plus, you might even bump into some athletes! 😯

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience. The hotel is right next to Caoqiao Subway Station, making it incredibly convenient to transfer to Line 10 and the Daxing Airport Express. This was a huge plus for catching flights and exploring the city's attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so dining and shopping were a breeze. The room was spotlessly clean and bright. The bathroom and table corners were free of any stains. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's rest. The air conditioning, toiletries, and high-speed Wi-Fi were all readily available and well-maintained. The front desk staff were on duty 24/7, and check-in/check-out was quick and efficient. They were patient and responsive to any requests, and free luggage storage was a nice bonus. For its price point in Beijing, the hotel offers outstanding value for money, whether you're traveling for business or leisure. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Beijing.
