Sshenjqq_2000The newly opened hotel has very new facilities, a bright and spacious lobby, nicely decorated rooms, and comfortable bedding. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The only downside is the noise from heavy trucks on the road.

GGuest UserHow do I put this... I've stayed in quite a few decent B&Bs, and this one just gives me the impression that the owner isn't very focused on service, mainly aiming for a casual vibe, I guess... It's been a long time since I encountered a B&B or hotel where the drinks in the room fridge cost extra. When I asked for two small bottles of water, the response I got was, ”The large bottles are free too.” I don't understand what that even means... Of course, I know the large bottles are free, but do I have to drink from a jug if I want cold water? They did eventually bring them, just two small bottles... The breakfast was also quite disappointing; it's the first time I've encountered something like this at this price point for a B&B. The overall feeling is just very stingy. There's a nearly right-angle turn outside the B&B, and our car is quite long. No one came out to guide us or help us navigate... I'll just leave it at that for now.

FFooChanWongThe place is beautiful and owner couple were super helpful! Location was perfect to go anywhere in the Watertown and not too far from the entrance to the Great Wall. Also super near to the square where the drone show is at. Breakfast was great, often being served with local treats for us to try. We stayed with 2 teens, 1 child and 2 adults. My children were upset that we didn’t stay any linger there. If we would to be back, it’s definitely where we’ll be staying! Highly recommended!

MMeiyincidufuHighly, highly recommended!!! Our group of four climbed Dongling Mountain this morning, and the scenery was so beautiful we didn't want to go back to Beijing. On a whim, we wanted to find a hot spring hotel nearby where we could relax and soak, and we found this one. The scenery was absolutely stunning!!! The entire village has excellent red-themed architecture and a very positive atmosphere. Even the small village museum's 3D video was quite good, creating a great ambiance, and in the morning, you could see the iconic red star right outside your window!! And the best part? The hot spring was incredibly relaxing! Enjoying a barbecue in the misty mountains, listening to the rain while soaking in the hot spring… friends, it was indescribably comfortable!! The owner and the manager were very kind, providing us with free breakfast. After breakfast, we immediately bought two jars of the same fermented bean curd online—it was so delicious, hahaha! In short, a perfect recommendation, we will definitely go again!!!

DDouzilvxingdeyiyiEnvironment: You can see the Shuiguan Great Wall right before your eyes. It's only a few hundred meters from Shuiguan Great Wall, a 5-minute walk directly to it. No need to rush when climbing the Great Wall. The courtyard has its own open-air private hot spring pool, and the water temperature is just perfect. Soaking in the hot spring, feeling the gentle breeze, and looking up at the Great Wall. An immersive relaxation, absolutely amazing! Service: The butler service is really great 👌 Everything is arranged in advance, so you don't have to worry about anything. It's even more attentive than a five-star hotel. Couples Afternoon Tea: The fruit and mousse cake were delicious. Goodnight drink (milk or mulled wine): I chose milk 🥛 It was warm and after drinking it, my sleep quality improved.

MM56405****Absolutely fantastic! The two kids played in the room until midnight without any need for adult supervision. The moms just chatted and drank the whole time – it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is super close to the ancient town, only a five-minute walk. There are supermarkets downstairs and restaurants right outside the door, which is incredibly convenient. The owner is really nice and was quick to resolve any issues we had. Remember to bring some sausages when you go; there are lots of little cats downstairs waiting for you to feed them!

DDadadelvxingmengxiangThis is our second time staying at the Commune by the Great Wall, and the experience was once again superb – we felt incredibly comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay! This time, we chose the Red House, and its orientation was perfect. Being east-west facing, it received warm sunshine all day long, making it so cozy and peaceful. The Red House No. 3 has a unique and artistic architectural design. Especially at sunset, the light and shadows stream into the room, creating a beautiful and healing atmosphere – every photo we took looked like it belonged in a magazine. It's pet-friendly, and our little dog absolutely loved the environment here. The only minor inconvenience is that pets aren't allowed in the hotel restaurant. I hope they could set up a pet-sitting area near the restaurant entrance, so pets could roam around while their owners dine. Moreover, the butler service was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. They proactively recommended places suitable for children to play and local specialty dishes, which was very detailed and heartwarming. Overall, the stay was a perfect 10, definitely worth coming back to again and again!

YYuemanjiulouThe hotel is conveniently located right next to the cable car and gondola, making it super easy to get up to the Great Wall. The hotel itself is like a park, with rooms scattered throughout the mountains. I booked what they called a 'small courtyard,' but it was actually a shared courtyard with several rooms. When I first booked, I thought the room would be tiny, only 11 sq m, which I figured must have been a typo, as it's actually more like 40-50 sq m. The amenities are quite good; the AC gets plenty warm, and there's a small balcony. I especially loved their grey slippers; they're very well made. The restaurant staff are all incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious with generous portions! I'd actually suggest they offer some smaller dishes, as for a solo traveler like me, one dish is often enough, so I can't try multiple things. Breakfast is okay, just enough to fill you up. If you're driving, you can notify the hotel with your license plate number beforehand and drive directly to their parking lot, which is super convenient. Overall, I had a great experience.

LLLlyyy-eThe location is excellent, just 50 meters from Mutianyu Great Wall. The small courtyard offers a comfortable environment, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the hygiene is impeccable, especially the sparkling clean windows. The staff provides thoughtful service. You can stay overnight, enjoy the hot springs, and even savor stewed fish. Sunbathing and having afternoon tea is incredibly relaxing, and the pour-over coffee gets a big thumbs up! The freshly caught and stewed fish was also very flavorful. Plus, I captured some stunning sunset views. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserMy parents, my child, and I had an amazing stay here, I just have to praise this place! Alice checked us in, and she was incredibly kind and enthusiastic. She processed everything efficiently and patiently. When she learned we had a child with us, she kindly added a complimentary breakfast for the child and even gave us an extra hot spring ticket for them – what a wonderful surprise! The hotel's overall environment was clean and tidy, the breakfast selection was rich, and the hot spring experience was excellent; both adults and children had a great time. Alice's warm service significantly enhanced our stay, with thoughtful details all around. It’s perfect for family trips and offers excellent value for money. We’ll definitely choose this hotel again next time, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
