During my 5-night stay with the kids, the location was great, simple cleaning, drink refills, and the overall size of the room was quiet and appropriate. No matter where you go, including Wangfujing and Wangjing Forbidden City, it's within 30 minutes by taxi, and there are shopping malls, restaurants, and cafes nearby. It's not a residential area, so there are no convenience stores or supermarkets, but they kept refilling bottled water, so there was no need to go. It was great in every way, but on the first day. There was a strong cigarette smell in the room as well, and as the days went by, maybe I got used to it or the smell went away, so it was okay, but the smell didn't go away in the lobby. I wonder if someone is still smoking. The smell is different from the Westin next door. If it didn't smell, it would be perfect as a residence. The swimming pool too. It was suitable and comfortable in every way. I think I will choose it next time I go. I hope there is no smell of cigarettes then!!!

I have stayed in many B&Bs, but I was surprised to encounter Lianlian Siheyuan this time. The B&B is located in a very distinctive Beijing Hutong, and the atmosphere is very good. I’m a solo business traveler from Hong Kong. I booked this for its traditional building structure (四合院). My room got upgraded, and it was a very nice and spacious room. It has a tablet or Siri-like control for room amenities like for switching lights, air conditioning and alarm. The shower is hot and the shampoo etc provided smells good. Dyson hairdryer. Bath robes and slippers are provided. Bottled water is provided for free, there’s also red wine in the room that I didn’t consume but I suspect it’s also free. The toilet is Japanese style. The room is very clean except the coffee table has a corner that seems not probably wiped but I think it’s minor and probably just overlooked. The breakfast is a set (ie not buffet style), and the “congee” is very nice. But the thing that prompts me writing this review is the staff - I travel a lot and the staff here is among the best service/ most friendly/ helpful I have ever experienced. If you want to try staying in a traditional Beijing house/ Chinese style breakfast yet still want the modern amenities, this is for you. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Beijing. Thank you very much to the team - I really had a great stay! (Btw around the corner of the street there’s a very nice fried nuts shop!)

This unique si he yuan is a very good experience to have if you want to experience in Beijing hutong. It is walking distance to pinganli train station. And also plenty of food for breakfast and lunch just at the main street and also a 20 minutes walk xidan where u can find many more malls with restaurants, cafes and shopping. We walked to shichahai which was a comfy 45 minutes away whilst trying various food along the way. But it is actually 2 train stops away if you want to save the energy walking there to walk at the shichahai street. Taxis to tian tan, forbidden city, sanlitun all affordable priced between S$3-10. Si he yuan vibes is very nice! It feels safe as there’s security guard and front desk just like hotels. But the staff are not very friendly. They sometimes greet but most times just hiding behind their desk. They check luggages upon check in which we have to open up for scanning. Booking on trip.com saved us quite a lot of money as we saw the price stated at hotel is a lot more expensive. Toilets are cleaned, supply of new towels and rubbish cleared daily. But bed not being packed at all. But doesn’t really matter… but it’ll be nice if they pack our beds….

Nice stay. Staff were fine, bed very comfy and decent size rooms. Key card to get into room and curtains for each bed so safe and private. Good location, only 5 minute walk from a metro station on line 2, or ＜30mins to Behai Park (good for early morning walk). Onsite cafe is nice but very expensive. Could do with another toilet and bigger lockers (the ones in my room only fit a small bag for valuables) but these are'nt major issues. Overall pretty good.

This serviced apartment was very close to where I needed to be for meetings, so it was extremely convenient. However, the furnishings are old and outdated, but the apartment was relatively clean. I like having a little kitchen and washing machine for a week's stay. The staff was helpful, although food deliveries were a bit inconvenient, since the property requires guests to go to B1 to collect deliveries. If you like a cold room, the air conditioner worked great, and the room is very quiet at night. I would stay again.
