Hotels in Yongdingmen and South Railway Station Area, Beijing

As a first-time visitor to Beijing from Thailand, I found this hotel incredibly convenient. It features an on-site café and a Mala restaurant—both offer delicious food and are not too expensive. The entire hotel staff is wonderful and welcoming. While English isn't widely spoken in the city, the hotel and café staff did a great job communicating in English and provided excellent service.

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station, and surrounded by a well-developed commercial area, so you don't have to go far for dining or shopping. The room has great natural light, and the large projector TV offers an amazing experience for binge-watching shows. It feels very much like a home away from home, making travel hassle-free when staying here.

Traveling with friends, we booked several family rooms, and it seemed like we had reserved all of them at the hotel. The hotel is very close to the South Station, so I'd recommend taking a ride-sharing service if you're coming here. The hotel's location is easy to find and quite convenient, with plenty of options for food delivery and shopping centers like Wangfujing U Life nearby. The room size wasn't as big as I expected, and there wasn't much space between the large and small beds. The TV was big, and screen mirroring was easy to use. The hot water in the shower was very stable, but the showerhead was handheld, though it could be fixed in place. The sink was right by the entrance, which allowed for a dry and wet separation. Both the large mirror and the vanity mirror had makeup lights, which is a nice touch for women. The room had an inner window, but it came with a small built-in scenic view, which was quite pleasant. My husband went to the late-night congee shop twice and said it was pretty good for an upset stomach. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and cleaned promptly. Since our train was late, we requested a late check-out from the front desk. The male and female staff at the front desk even helped us with bottled water. I didn't use the laundry or gym facilities, so I can't comment on those. One improvement I hope for is the bedside reading light; when I turned it on in the morning, it was too bright on my side, which could disturb the person next to me. I hope it can be adjusted.

The hotel is conveniently located above a convenience store, so you don't have to go far to buy water or snacks. The room had excellent natural light, no strange odors, and was spotlessly clean. I was very satisfied with both nights I stayed. I originally booked it as a temporary过渡房 (transitional room type), but it far exceeded my expectations. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was very well done, and the toiletries were of good quality. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. All the staff were very patient; they patiently answered all my questions about local attractions and routes. The room felt spacious and not cramped, and all the facilities were comprehensive. Overall, there was nothing to complain about during my stay. The hotel breakfast was very much to my liking; it was all hot, home-style food, with enough variety for everyday eating. It saved a lot of time for sightseeing since I didn't have to wake up early to find a restaurant.

I booked this hotel because I arrived late in Beijing, and it turned out to be an unexpected surprise! First, the location is great. It's just a short walk across a small road from the North Exit of Beijing South Railway Station, nestled in a quiet alley. I got a special offer room, and from the doorway, I could see it didn't have a private bathroom. There's a shared bathroom for the entire floor. I was initially worried it might be unclean, but it was spotless! There are two sinks with 24-hour hot and cold water and hand soap. Opposite them are the showers, and there wasn't a single hair on the floor. Behind the hairdryer on the wall is a squat toilet, which was also very clean. The room itself was very tidy. The sheets and duvet covers were stain-free, clearly indicating a thorough cleaning. There weren't any disposable slippers, just regular bathroom ones. The only issue was the soundproofing, which wasn't great. Your sleep quality really depends on the consideration of the guests next door.

As a tourist from Xinjiang, I planned to stay in Beijing for at least 8 or 9 days. I felt there were three essential requirements: 1. convenient transportation, 2. good hygiene and soundproofing, and 3. good value for money. After one day of my stay, my actual experience is: 1. Transportation is fairly convenient, but the subway station isn't right outside the door. It's a 10-minute walk, which is a bit far. However, there are shared bikes next to the hotel, and a three-minute ride will get you to the subway entrance. Once you navigate it, it's easier than taking a taxi. 2. The hygiene, soundproofing, facilities, disposable amenities, and daily changed bedding are all excellent, truly matching the standard of a four-star hotel. There are no sanitation dead zones in the lobby, corridors, or rooms. The room also has a mini-fridge stocked with purified water, soda water, and other drinks, all complimentary! 3. The hotel's exterior, lobby, rooms, breakfast, and laundry room are all impressive. A family suite for over 600 RMB for a family of four is absolutely a great deal. We also received four complimentary breakfast vouchers, which we greatly appreciated. The buffet breakfast is truly lavish and tastes good, not just a token giveaway. All the staff are very polite, offer service with a smile, and are well-trained, making for a very comfortable experience. Before I arrived, I booked for 8 days, thinking that if it wasn't good, I'd stay for one day, cancel the rest, and find another place. Now, it looks like I'll not only stay here for the entire Beijing trip but also enthusiastically recommend it to myself and my friends for future visits. A very satisfying stay.

Fantastic location, right next to Caoqiao subway station, making it super convenient for getting to the airport or downtown. The Atour quality is consistently excellent: rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and it's well-soundproofed for a perfect night's sleep. The service is warm, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. Highly recommended!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel room was spacious, the air conditioning was just right, and the soundproofing was excellent, so we slept incredibly well. When we needed a late check-out, she was very accommodating and enthusiastically helped us arrange it, allowing us to pack without rushing. She also kindly stored our luggage after check-out, saving us a lot of hassle. Ms. Yu was consistently gentle and patient, always ready to assist, truly treating guests like family. Thanks to her attentiveness, this trip felt extra special and warm. We’ll definitely choose this hotel again next time!
