Overall, we loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely come again if back in Beijing!
1. Location is great and just short walking distance from the subway but we ended up just Didi-Ing everywhere cause due to the prime location, it’s so affordable no matter which direction we need to go. Nearby also many malls, food, shopping etc within walking distance.
2. After reading reviews, most were good and the only issue we saw ppl unhappy about is saying that the room is too hot during winter (as no aircon but heater instead). We realise that ppl are talking about the no window rooms. As such, we made it a point to book our twin room with windows. Best decision! Window was handy during half of our stay. But unfortunately we happen to come when there’s some big government meeting in the area, so the windows were closed with a screw for security reasons for the other half. Nonetheless, the concierge service was excellent and we had no problem getting a fan upon request. They provided a tower fan for us and it was more than sufficient to ventilate the room while having heater on cause of the cold weather.
3. Shoutout to the helpful and friendly staff! Even though the hotel seemed small considering it’s by a big brand, but the service was really up to standard! Special mention to Baozi who’s station at the first floor concierge who helped to answer all the touristy questions we have during our stay. And even go the extra mile to help us look for the answer on his personal device when he’s not sure.
4. Nice point to have hot porridge available at night between 6pm to 12am for folks who weren’t satisfied with dinner and need a simple supper. Just some simple condiments to go along but something hot at night sometimes is all you need. They also have a couple of fruits and drinks available all day. Not super impressive stuff but just quite thoughtful.
5. The only thing to point out is that as mentioned - the hotel is quite small, so no swimming pool, but they do have laundry and gym at the basement which we didn’t use. But love the smart system they have set up. Which you can use voice activation to control in the room, requesting for certain items also is easy process using the tablet. And when you order food delivery, they use the robot to bring it up to your room which is fast and efficient. Also, they provide bottled water daily but also have a machine you can refill from on the first floor if you need more.
6. Lastly, almost forgot to say about the room - it’s nice and spacious! So really go for the room with window as I think it’s bigger. 2 of us with large 28 inch luggage and have space to walk around even after both luggage is open big big at the sides. Bed is nice and comfy and the bigger type. Toilet also is spacious, shower area separated by glass door. Ample dry area to change after come out of shower. Amenities (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) are also good quality, feels nice and I didn’t need to take out my own to use. We also had a free minibar with our booking, simple with just 4 can drinks and couple packet of biscuits but was a pretty good touch. No issues with the daily housekeeping!

The hotel is really near to Wangfujing metro (approximately 3 mins walk from E3 exit) which is super convenient for us especially when we have many luggages. Secondly, the hotel rooms are really spacious and is enough for us to put 4 big luggages. Lastly, to us, it's worth the price paid given that there are so many good points about the hotel. There are 2 washer and 2 dryers, free mineral water (you can get more if it's not enough!) and some of the receptionists were really friendly and helpful too (sadly not all :( ). Also thankful that the hotel allow us to check out an hour later! Will definitely stay again in the future if i visit Beijing and will recommend this hotel to friends and family too!

I have generally only good things to say about my experience. The incredible upgrade from 2 rooms to an apartment was great. Breakfast buffet was included in my rate of choice, and it has one of the most amazing breakfast spreads I have seen. Location was already central and walkable mostly in mall to 2 adjacent MRT stations accessing 3 key MRT lines.
I can only share one photo of 1 of the bedrooms, as the other room and my living room had my family inside. They even have fruit basket for me.
My main minor gripe was that I wish they could also have provided disposable face masks that we then had to find ourselves. Face masks could help with the cold of winter that we underestimated.
But all in all, it was really a great experience at Hyatt. Full marks !

This hotel is strategically located between Wanfujing street and forbidden city.
Walking distance to both of the attractions is a plus point. 5 mins away from metro station so going around using public transport is easy. Famous Peking duck restaurant is just beside the hotel and it is a must try if you are visiting Beijing.
Hotel cleanliness is top notch. Only thing to regret for us was choosing a room without window. Even during winter times, it got quite hot and suffocating since there was no window in our room type. Hotel provided fan but that was not good enough for my hubby who likes cold. Other than that, I would highly recommend to stay here and I would stay there again if I ever visit Beijing again. Hotel provided daily fresh fruits and snacks. There is free laundry and dryers on top floor so it was very convenient for us. Oh another highlight is Taobao orders!! 😂 We can purchase anything from Taobao with hotel address and the delivery took only 1-2 days max. Reception will help you receive the deliveries. Super love it!

Unbeatable location in central Beijing—steps from Wangfujing, just above Jingyu Hutong Station exit B, and just a short walk or bike ride to the Forbidden City午门. The modern and well design facilities and healthy breakfast made our stay memorable. Nearby, endless dining options and shopping malls eg apm, 喜悦 added to the convenience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service—from the reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond. The complimentary laundry was a lifesaver for our family. A wonderful 5-day stay—highly recommend!”

Coffizz is a cozy hotel that boasts a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. My room was clean and comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere for relaxation. However, one downside was that the staff had limited English proficiency, which made communication a bit challenging at times. Despite this, my overall experience at Coffizz was pleasant, and I appreciated the inviting ambiance and well-maintained facilities. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option in a great spot, Coffizz is worth considering.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable—situated in the heart of Beijing, it offers easy access to key attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation. The proximity to iconic landmarks like the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
Although the hotel is abit old, the room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean. The luxurious bedding to the thoughtful amenities, made it feel like a true retreat. The view from my room was also stunning, offering a glimpse of Beijing’s skyline that added to the ambiance.
Ambience at the hotel lobby was awesome. With a grand piano, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows facing the garden.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. From the concierge’s expert recommendations to the housekeeping staff’s meticulous attention, I felt well cared for throughout my stay.
The Regent Beijing exceeded my expectations in every way, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. I look forward to returning in the future!

Reached the hotel at 8+am after a red-eye flight. Although it was too early to check-in, front desk staff kindly checked for available room, and arranged housekeeping to expedite cleaning. We were able to check-in after one hour.
Very pleased with the size of the family room with 2 queen size beds, very spacious, clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping staff did good job of daily cleaning and put many bottles of drinking water for us.
Hotel is directly connected to the shopping mall making it super convenient for shopping & dining and 8 mins walk from metro station, which has 2 metro lines (1 & 4), easy to travel around.
Concierge/customer service is also very professional and helpful. Ordered some packages from Taobao but they went missing (2 times). The staff offered to find them and they did. Each time they also followed up with phone calls afterwards to make sure we had received them.
Breakfast spread was very sumptuous and good variety, and the chef even introduced the food items personally.
Overall very happy with our stay, and would highly recommend this hotel for their comfort level, customer service and value-for-money price point, to any visitors to Beijing.

This hotel is well located on line 2 and line 1. It is in a residential neighbourhood with lesser city hustles and bustles. The room was always well cleaned and amenities were replenished after our return at the end of the day. We stayed for 4 nights here before moving to another 5 star hotel which was more glamorous but not as homely as Hotel New Otani. We prefer Hotel New Otani and will choose it if we visit Beijing again. A slight disappointment was the 60 minutes chinese traditional body massage service that I paid extra for spa was a bit lacking and uncomfortable in a sun glaring room.

CCricket geniusThis hotel is very pleasant. The rooms are clean and modern, even if not particularly spacious, and I enjoyed seeing and hearing the robots as they moved around the reception area into the lifts. The breakfast was superb – varied food, and lots of it. The staff were wonderful, although not much English was spoken. The location is great, being at the junction of two subway lines and the Capital Airport Express. The only possible downside was that the aircon didn’t work particularly well in the rooms, although I’m told the weather was unusually warm for the March 2025 days when I stayed.
I'm not quite sure where I should provide some comments about travelling around Beijing. It can be quite a culture challenge if, like me, it is your first visit to Beijing, and you do not speak the language. The usual approach for any visitor to a foreign country is to ask staff at your hotel, or to stop passersby, or to consult something like Google Maps. The first two of these are possible, but, in view of the lack of any widespread use of English by the Chinese, the answers provided might not be readily understood by the questioner.
This situation is not helped by the fact that the English translations of various Chinese place names can have different spellings, which makes it hard to identify where exactly any particular place is located. In addition, the Beijing subway is vast, and can take a long time to travel around. The interchange between lines can be as much as 10-15 minutes. Yet further, the subway stations themselves are massive, with sometimes as many as six exits. These are also sometimes 10 or 15 minutes walk away from each other. So there is a risk that you could emerge into the open air without really knowing where you are. For info, I attach a March 2025 photo of a plan of the Beijing subway. I suggest visitors get to know this well, taking care that you don't confuse (as happened with me!) one like-sounding station with another.
As for online maps, the great Chinese firewall makes it tricky to consult and use the Internet with any great facility. I found that it took a long time to plan any travel around the city. For instance, I wanted to visit the Marco Polo bridge, which in 1937 was the scene of a skirmish, or battle, between the Japanese and the Chinese in 1937. But could I work out how to get to this site? In a word, no. I simply could not establish the route, or how long it would take, or which suburban railway or subway line I should use. So I gave up. I suspect that it would be possible with some form of guided tour but that would need to be planned in advance. I could also have used a taxi, I suppose, except I couldn't get to grips with the ride hailing app Didi.
In summary, Beijing is a lovely place. The architecture is amazing. The people are friendly. Hotels are affordable and clean. One feels safe. Food is tasty. The culture and history is, naturally, sensational. I'm very much in favour in fostering good relations between the West and China. But western tourists should suspend your normal approach to sightseeing. Be prepared for internet restrictions, and language issues, to make it a lot harder than usual to get around or visit places. The authorities and the various travel organisations steer you towards organised tours, so maybe the best idea is to buy into this concept. Or perhaps you can get a Chinese buddy to explain things. So my advice is to visit Beijing with an open mind and be prepared to be patient, and play by the rules rather than trying to be too independent.

You can also write the word ”Fu” when you check in on the first day of the Chinese New Year, and paste it on the door yourself, which makes you feel the New Year's atmosphere when you are away from home
GGuest UserThe room supply was tight during the Spring Festival. We booked a room at 9pm. We wanted a quiet room away from the road, and it was satisfied. The soundproofing was OK. It was quiet if you were away from the road, but you could hear the noise in the corridor. It was not noisy and was very quiet when you were sleeping. The fresh air system was easy to use, the screen projection was simple, and the service was also very good. Necessities, water and drinks were provided. The room service was fast, and there was a robot for delivering meals, so you didn't need to go downstairs. The quality of the breakfast buffet in the morning was also very good. If you have a lot of luggage, the manager downstairs will help you bring the luggage up. There is a printer on the first floor, which can print documents, which is not inferior to the 5-star hotel I stayed in before.
JJulia CLWe got confused after we checked in and noticed that there wasn't a door into the bathroom. Called the housekeeping, and they informed that the door was removed because it was spoilt. I think its rather irresponsible to not inform beforehand. The room was changed after complaining. The new room, not sure if it's because it's winter, it's like a sauna in the room! Even the corridor is cooler than the room! There is nothing we can do to adjust the temperature and with the direct sunlight shining in, it just makes it worse.
During checking in, I enquired about some day tours but the front office staff couldn't give much information. Generally, the staff are not very enthusiastic and friendly.
The plus point is the location. It is about 5 mins walk from Xidan metro station. Lots of food and shopping around the hotel.
PphottigimathThe service was really good. We enjoyed the stay. The staff was very friendly. It is very near to the railway station, so it was really convenient. I should really appreciate the cleanliness, the rooms and the bathrooms were extremely clean. It was an amazing stay. All the staff did a really great job. Extremely happy.
PS: the receptionist was very handsome. So extra happy😁

VvictorngwlThe amenities are fantastic, with a washing machine in the apartment itself, quite useful for long travels. There is also a very well equipped gym and a large swimming pool. The apartment is furnished luxuriously and there is also a kitchen.
There are many restaurants and eateries just adjacent to the hotel, along with supermarkets. The nearest metro station is however about 5 to 8 minutes walk away.
The staff here are all helpful and polite. Special thanks to Cherry, who made my check-in process pleasant and is very helpful. Also many thanks to the cleaner Miao Hongyan who is meticulous and thoughtful when attending to our needs.
Will definitely stay there again!
GGuest UserHotel was about 15-20 min walk to the subway station, which consider pretty far. Not like what other review says it's within minutes walk. Will be difficult if you're pushing heavy luggage. Do take note that nearest station is DongZhimen station which by far, I've not found any elevator nor downward escalator, which will make it difficult when going to airport by subway train. There should be one downward escalator somewhere but eventually we decided to take a cab down which takes about $160 yuan for a 6 seater. A lot of eateries around the hotel area and a pharmacy next door which makes it convenient if touch wood , any co-traveller falls sick. But not a very friendly pharmacist there.
Our hotel room is the bigger one with projector with movies. Just need to use WeChat app to scan to access.
Basic stuff provided in the hotel. Anything else, you have to ask , eg shaver, or floss etc but no safe and fridge , wardrobe though.
There is a Korean restaurant in the hotel which makes it convenient if you decide not to dine out.
Customer service wise, housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful, accommodating our request here and there. Except one day-shift front desk who is not too helpful nor friendly. Sometimes when we asked for extra bottles of water or tissue packs, she would be reluctant and ask for our room number to keep track of our usage. As my co-travellers caught a flu in between, we need more tissues. At one time, when I asked for two more packs of tissues, in the end she came up to tell me hotel run out of tissue and can only give me one pack, the rest is toilet rolls. But when later, I approach the housekeeping staff, the cleaner lady gladly handed me what I needed. Too bad I didn't know the name of the unfriendly front desk. But she's the smaller built size one.
On the contrary, one night shift front desk is to totally extremely helpful and friendly, she goes by the name ”Xiao Li staff number 000”. As my co-travellers fall sick in the middle of the night, running fever and catching cold and cough, I have nowhere to buy medication. She helped me to order online with ”mei tuan” which we foreigners have no way to order unless with a local number. She even offered me more water and tissue packs without me requesting. The next early morning, when I walked past the reception to get my breakfast, she even asked how my co-travellers are doing and whether they recovering. On the day of departure, she helped me with the booking of a cab to airport and gave me a few pointers going to airport. Her presence make me gives an extra star to this hotel. She is definitely the best staff in the hotel.
Overall, if you are travelling alone or with adults companion, this hotel is considered decent but with children, you may want to be prepared to walk more or take a cab to any of your destinations.
DDr. Julio BernalWe love this hotel for the location and the size of the room. The place is very luxurious but one thing that can be improved is the temperature for the rooms. They over used the heater and we had to ask to lower it. It still felt too warm. We asked them to open the room window but still it was too hot. The breakfast was very good with some room for improvement. The buffet looked cramped in an area of the restaurant. The location of some of the items wasn’t the most strategically. For instance, to grab some fruit you have to be practically on top of other items of the salad bar. People could literally breath on top of the food. Overall this hotel is great but it needs a major upgrade in the rooms and the wet area of the gym/pool. The showers there need some work. The steam room wasn’t working. Only the dry sauna worked. It need better cleaning as well
AaimeeeasyrafffffWe are 2 friends and both are new to Beijing and let alone China. We are first time here.
For me the room is great enough, light was all working fine. The toothbrush and soap provided but need to get from reception.
I was using iPhone so I cannot use the WiFi as it only works with Android due to firewall.
Location wise I think it is easy to find even with Google Map. For those using Metro, Dongsi Station Exit G is the nearest one, while Exit D is the second nearest. Two main metro line to Dongsi Station is Metro Line 5 & 6. But we normally use line 6 because it is nearest to Exit G.
The area is close to Forbidden Palace, you can get there with one change of metro service.
When I went to Forbidden Palace, I did go there using Metro then walk back as it is only around 1.6km walking after the Exit at Forbidden Palace and took about 20 minutes walking. I did use Baidu map to walk to the hotel from Forbidden Palace and you will take short cuts which will end up at the back of Renaissance Hotel. Tips : mark the hotel in Baidu map so you can easily get the map working especially if cannot speak Chinese like me.
On Dongsi West St there is National Art Museum and it is free. I did went there alone after checkout, there are 6 floors of exhibits there.
Walk to Wangfujing shopping st would take you around 15 minutes. The famous Prime Hotel Beijing is like 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Not much to do at night as shops literally close early at around 8PM to 9PM except for McDonald’s which close at 11PM like 5 minutes walk from hotel.
There is a mosque near hotel if you are Muslim like me but the mosque is a bit run down and closes its door and you need to ask the caretaker to open the door if you want to pray.
Overall I’m satisfied with the hotel which I think is very basic and fits our budget. I wish there is a cupboard inside the room for us to hang out clothes and fridge. The toilet however is spacious and hot water can only be used for 20 minutes then we need to wait again for 30 minutes for it to replenish which is a problem if there are a lot of people to take shower at same time.
Improvement for hotel :
1 Put small cupboard in room for guest to hang clothes.
2 Change the curtain as it is very old and looks like not wash for long time.
3 Better if room has small fridge for guest to store food.
Getting there : Metro from took like 50 minutes with 3 changes in metro line. For me it is very easy, and cheap cost like 40RMB in Alipay.
Overall the surrounding maybe take 2 days for you to be familiar with but I think it is good enough as there are McDonalds, Luckin coffee and also bakery near the hotel like 5 minutes walk. Small convenience store is there in the back alley but close like at 8PM.
Reason I chose this hotel :
1 Your taxi can get there straight in front of hotel as it is not in Forbidden Palace area where some place taxi cannot get in and you need to carry your bag through busy street
2 Easy access as you walk 10 minutes from Dongsi Station Exit G/D to get to hotel
3 Near Dongsi mosque if you want to pray if you’re muslim
4 Very quiet area as a bit far from Forbidden Palace area or Wangfujing
5 Lots of shops to eat and cafe on Dongsi N st or Meishuguan E st near the Prime Beijing Hotel
6 A few halal muslim restaurant for you to eat if you are picky eater and not familiar with convenience store food
7 When go out of hotel turn left at end of the Dadoufu Ln there is small convenience you can buy food but close early around 8PM.
