Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we could feel the staff's genuine sincerity. A special shout-out to the concierge team, who not only helped us retrieve our package in advance but also assisted with our luggage throughout check-in, making our arrival so smooth and effortless. Their thoughtfulness was truly appreciated! The hotel's location is also superb – it offers a free shuttle service to Universal Beijing Resort, which takes about 10 minutes. This saved us from having to hail a taxi or take public transportation, saving a significant amount of time and effort. It's truly a blessing for families with kids or anyone looking to maximize their time! The room was spotlessly clean, and the overall lighting design was incredibly cozy, making us feel relaxed the moment we entered. My favorite feature was the balcony with its large floor-to-ceiling windows; sitting on the wicker chair at night, watching the city lights outside, created an incredibly atmospheric experience. The bathroom also exuded quality, with dark vertical-striped wall tiles, marble flooring, a smart mirror with ambient lighting, and a standalone bathtub – it truly elevated the bathing ritual. Every corner, from the dressing table to the sofa area, was thoughtfully designed with meticulous small details, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a high-quality accommodation experience, especially travelers planning a trip to Universal Beijing Resort! I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by luxury shops, making it very convenient to get around. The Mandarin Oriental's attention to detail is superb. The understated luxury and 'old money' vibe are precisely my style. The vanity room is spacious, and they prepared welcome fruits and snacks, a bottle of red wine, and even pear soup, along with a beautifully written welcome letter. It truly made me feel right at home. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, with fresh, organic ingredients and amazing flavors. I even had breakfast alongside the Russian ambassador at the next table! Sipping a coffee with a Forbidden City latte art design on the large terrace overlooking the Forbidden City, I truly experienced a taste of royal life. So happy! 😃

Overall, it's a good hotel in all aspects. The young man at the entrance immediately offered to help us with our luggage as soon as he saw us. After checking out, a lady in a cheongsam gave a teddy bear to my child, who was very happy. However, there was one strange incident: we didn't touch any drinks in the fridge, but housekeeping claimed we drank a bottle of Alien electrolyte water and withheld a 15 yuan deposit. When we called to inquire, they quickly processed the refund for the 15 yuan, so their problem-solving efficiency was excellent. But it's still quite strange where that drink went. This minor incident didn't affect the overall experience; the hotel is still very good.

I stayed for two days, and overall it was a good experience. The hotel environment was fine, and the staff were very professional. Sarah, in particular, was excellent. I added her on WeChat before checking in, and she helped with all the necessary details, providing thoughtful assistance and service. Thumbs up! The hotel's location is great, and transportation is very convenient. My room even had a view of Jingshan Park, which was fantastic.

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. The hotel was generally decent. The basic facilities were all there, and the hygiene was acceptable. The location was quite convenient. Some of the facilities showed signs of aging, and the experience would be even better if those small details could be improved.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to the National Art Museum of China, Guardian Art Center, and Capital Theater, making it incredibly convenient for visiting exhibitions and shows. The Line 8 subway station is also just a stone's throw away, ensuring easy access to transportation. The rooms are clean, hygienic, and well-equipped. The air conditioning works effectively, and the shower has good water pressure, providing a pleasant experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and proactively upgraded my room upon check-in. When checking out, I accidentally left some clothes in the room, and the staff promptly contacted me, which I greatly appreciated! If I have the opportunity in the future, I would definitely be willing to stay here again! I must also highlight that the hotel's dining environment is elegant, and the dinner offers a good selection of Southeast Asian specialties from Vietnam, Thailand, and India, which tasted quite good. However, a slight drawback is the breakfast. While the variety is rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, the taste, such as the Zhajiangmian, was just average. We had originally booked three days of double breakfast, but we only went on the first day and had no interest in going again afterward – simply because there were too few appealing options. If the quality of the breakfast could be improved, it would be absolutely perfect!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful hotel that I'd love to return to! My son and I stayed here, and our experience exceeded all expectations. For my son's birthday, the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade to a themed kids' room. My son was absolutely thrilled—it was one of the highlights of our trip to Beijing. A huge thank you to the management and staff for such attentiveness to guests! I especially want to commend the hotel staff. Everyone was incredibly polite, friendly, and always ready to help. The concierges repeatedly assisted us with calling taxis and answered all our questions, which made traveling around the city very easy. The room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and cozy. The hotel has a pleasant aroma, and the classic interior creates an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort. Breakfasts were also a pleasant surprise: a wide selection of dishes, including European items, so everyone can find something to their taste. We were very pleased with our choice. I stayed at this hotel for three days last week for a business trip to Inner Mongolia. I'm back today and plan to stay for another week, as I prefer familiar places and don't like switching hotels. I booked a king room, but since there was no showerhead (I have a wound and can't use a shower), I asked the front desk to switch rooms. Instead of an upgrade, they downgraded me to a twin room. I even told them that I saw plenty of rooms available online, so why couldn't they upgrade me? I will never choose this hotel again. As for the dining, I thought it was good, and the restaurant staff were nice. However, the room's cleanliness wasn't great; the bath towel and floor mat were placed together, and the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The swimming pool was pretty good, though.
