GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the old location of Suzhou so the surrounding areas are all full of cultural experiences. The location is ideal for visiting several gardens such as The Couple's Retreat Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Humble Administrator's Garden (all within walking distance). However, it is a bit difficult to reach by car, as you would have to cross a small bridge and go over slightly rough roads (not ideal for multiple luggage, especially large ones). The hotel breakfast is soup noodles, with 8 different options, and it comes with a dessert (mung bean cake, a local specialty). It does get a bit tiring and repetitive once you eat it for a long time though. But, there are plenty of other alternative options up and down the street the hotel is located in. Various food stalls, restaurants, and even bakeries are all located within walking distance. The hotel also provides a ticketed experience to a local activity known as 评弹, a type of operatic singing famous for its soothing sound and tendency to invoke sleepiness. The hotel rooms are neat and kept clean with no odor. Throughout the hotel, a pleasing scent was smelled and it seems that one could buy the same scent from one of the various stalls open on the street. The bathroom amenities include: hair dryer, bath robes, toothbrushes, a vanity set, razor, and a comb (along with another item that slipped my mind). The toilet is automated and has a heated seat. Unfortunately, the showers are a bit difficult to use (low water pressure and difficulty in setting temperature). There are three settings for the shower: overhead, handheld, and spout. The rooms that we ordered (two single beds) included a sitting room furnished with a rocking chair and a mini fridge (drinks inside have to be paid for). The water bottles placed outside the fridge and the snacks on the table are complimentary and free of charge. The hotel also has a laundry machine that both washes and dries the clothes. Sadly, it doesn't properly dry clothes if more than 1.5 sets of clothing are placed inside. Drying racks and clothing hangers are provided for such scenarios. Laundry baskets were also provided. The hotel does not have elevators, given the antiquity of the neighborhood, so heavy luggage and suitcases have to be carried by hand up the stairs. The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful with anything we needed. We had a total of 8 suitcases (5 checked and 3 carry-ons) and the staff (overnight as we checked in at around 12 AM) voluntarily led us to the room and helped carry our bags up. When we ran into a problem with the laundry machine, the staff helped clear up the misunderstanding. Attached are photos of the lobby (picture of the table with the tea sets), the hotel room that was booked (the other room looked the same, just mirrored placement), the sitting room, and complimentary food that was provided.

Wwl****The location is fantastic, right inside the ancient town. You can get in for free after 5 PM. Plus, after breakfast the next day, you can tour Shen Hall and Zhang Hall for free. The value for money is just incredible! They even provide a bath kit in the room, which is a really thoughtful touch. Big thumbs up, highly recommend!

From the moment I checked in, I experienced the hotel team's professionalism and warmth. A special thanks to Amber for her meticulous service; she not only handled the check-in process efficiently but also thoughtfully arranged for a concierge to show me around the hotel, helping me quickly familiarize myself with its facilities and garden layout. During my stay, Amber proactively called to check on my experience, asking if I needed any additional items, and promptly arranged for drinking water and extra amenities to be delivered. This kind of proactive care made me feel incredibly welcomed. One of the hotel's biggest highlights is its environment. Despite being in Suzhou's city center, the overall atmosphere is remarkably quiet, truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. The gardens, water features, plants, and modern architecture blend seamlessly, making it a joy to stroll through. Whether in the morning or evening, it offers a relaxing escape from the city's noise. I stayed in the Premium King Room with a Water View. The room was spacious, elegantly designed for comfort, and the bedding quality was excellent. From the lighting to the toiletries and various design details, it's clear the hotel prioritizes the guest experience. My sleep quality was superb, allowing for genuine rest and relaxation. Breakfast was also commendable. The selection was extensive, with a full range of Chinese and Western options. The ingredients were fresh, offering both local Suzhou specialties and a rich variety of healthy light meals. Both the quality and consistency of the food were impressive. My sincere thanks to Amber and all the staff for their dedicated service. An excellent hotel isn't just about its facilities; it's about the warmth and care each employee extends to guests. The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou truly gave me the quality and relaxed vibe one expects from a city resort hotel. I look forward to my next visit to Suzhou and staying here again.

RRonald 泰山Very clean and new hotel. The only issue is, that it is beside a big road with high traffic during rush hours. Windows are good isolated against noice. Opposite is a big shopping mall with restaurants and other things you may need in daily life.

JjenniferfangThis trip was a family outing. I brought my in-laws to Suzhou to celebrate their birthday a bit early, so I specifically looked for a historic building with a Suzhou garden style. I booked three rooms and contacted the hotel to arrange two ground-floor rooms with courtyards. The hotel even thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake for my mother and offered turn-down service with a light soup in the evening. The restaurant was also good. We initially considered dining there on the first night but weren't sure about the dishes. After breakfast the next day, we decisively had lunch at the restaurant, and both elders thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel's arrangements for coming and going were also very well-managed. This trip's food and accommodation were both excellent. A truly great hotel!

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here. Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around. In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room. When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture? Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc. Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us. These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

GGuest UserI came to Suzhou for Zhou Shen's concert. Due to the terrible hygiene of my originally booked hotel, I made a last-minute change and booked this one. I checked in late at night, and the guy who helped me check in upgraded both of my rooms to executive suites. A huge thank you to him; it truly saved our awful Saturday. The room's hygiene was excellent. When I woke up on Sunday, I discovered there was also a fantastic balcony with a view of 'the big pants' (CCTV Headquarters). Next time I'm in Suzhou, I'll definitely stay here again. It's also super convenient for visiting the Olympic Sports Center and other attractions.

GGuest UserThis hotel is right on Pingjiang Road, making it super convenient to get to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Couple's Retreat Garden. You can walk to all of them in about 20 minutes. For other attractions, it's easy to grab a taxi from Baita East Road. There are plenty of dining options too. My only complaint is that the whole street downstairs has become overly commercialized with too many people doing travel photoshohoots. The authentic, lively atmosphere of Pingjiang Road, with its Pingtang music that my friend used to tell me about, is gone.

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were all incredibly nice! I initially booked the wrong dates on a third-party platform, and they helped me contact the third-party customer service for a refund. Then, they even upgraded my room on the spot. When I left, they gave me some snacks, drinks, and tissues. Their service was very thoughtful!
