Leonardo Royal Hotel Mallorca Palmanova Bay

Stayed for 6 days in an apartment type room with 2 and 5 year old children. I would like to visit again. good 1. It is true that there is a slope from the sea to the hotel, but it is a distance that even a 2-year-old child can walk. 5 minutes walk. 2. Stayed in room 776. The room was an apartment type with a kitchen and it was easy to live. The equipment is basically complete. If you tell the receptionist, they will give you a detergent and a sponge. Beach towels are rented with a deposit of 10 euros per sheet. If you want to change it, they will respond quickly. The deposit will be returned on the last day. No seasoning. 3. Dinner is a buffet with many items. 2 year olds are free and it was about 30 euros for 2 people. I felt that cospa was good. 4. A convenience store-like supermarket is next to it, 3 seconds on foot. 5. ALDI, a regular supermarket, is about 15 minutes away on foot. There are slopes and it was difficult for a 2-year-old to walk, but no problem for adults. 6. Marineland? 10 minutes by taxi to the small aquarium. If there are many people, it is more profitable than the local bus. It's a small aquarium, but there were dolphin and bird shows, and the children really enjoyed themselves. 7. I took a tour of the Palma Aquarium at the reception. This includes bus and ticket. This bus goes directly to the aquarium without going to a souvenir shop. The stay was long enough. 8. There were activities such as a children's dance program, and the children enjoyed themselves. 9. The nearby sea has a long beach and a little rocky area, so if you get tired of the beach, you can look for crabs and shellfish on the rocky area and have fun with your children. The beach in front of the hotel is long, and it was very nice to cycle on a rental bike that can hold 4 people. Rental bikes can be rented at the shop in front of the beach. bad 1. All cash payments in the hotel. There is an ATM inside the hotel, but it is a little inconvenient. It also charges a fee. 2. Depending on your tastes, I thought the breakfast was not worth the 22 euros. After all, my child ate bread, yogurt, and cereals, so I bought them at the supermarket next door and ate them in my room. 3. The airport shuttle bus often stayed at the hotel, but the receptionist would not tell me. The hotel can only call a taxi, and the bus should be checked and booked by yourself. I wanted to know at least the company name, but they didn't tell me. You must have seen the same bus company name hundreds of times (even I saw the same bus about 5 times. You should write down the name when you see the bus). The local bus to the airport is cheap, but the bus stop is ALDI direction. If you are an adult, you can walk with a suitcase, but if you have children, it will be difficult. A taxi to the airport is around €45 each way. 4. Affiliated tours are the worst. We booked a boat tour inside the cave. At 9:00, the time spent in the cave is only 1 hour and 20 minutes. After going around souvenir shops → jewelry shops, we finally arrive at the cave. Lost time is more than 1 hour. So 69 euros for 3 people is too expensive and I don't recommend it. The child is bored and bored. There are many tourists in the cave, and there is a long line to enter. This 1 hour and 20 minutes includes everything, so I was only in the cave for about 40 minutes. The boat that can be boarded inside the cave takes 2 minutes, but the waiting time is over 30 minutes, so it is physically impossible to get on in time for the tour bus meeting time. We recommend renting a car. This is the only bad thing this time.

Recently stayed for 4 nights as a short break for me and my mum. All of the staff we encountered were lovely. The room itself was basic which we expected, but clean and the kitchen space had decent facilities. We knew in advance that there were a lot of steps but we underestimated how difficult this would be with a heavy case! We were in a top floor apartment and we had a number of pigeons that liked to spend time on the balcony and make a mess of our clothes, so don't leave things out to dry for too long! Unfortunately we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel in the end due to the fact that there were a lot of large groups staying there. They made a lot of noise late into the night (doors slamming, shouting, furniture being moved etc.) so we didn't get a lot of sleep. We considered asking for a room move but we thought it wouldn't make a difference because there were so many groups scattered around the hotel. It also meant we didn't use the pool because it was taken over by the groups playing ball games in the shallow end of the pool. We didn't see many families with children having the opportunity to use the pool either. What we saw of the evening entertainment was good but poorly attended as most of the groups of guests were going out for the night. Overall, the hotel itself is clean and in a good location, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing break with the family.

This hotel has such a charm that I am very sad to see it close forever :-( I had an incredible stay with my partner and we were able to visit Palmanova and Portals during these days. I want to make a special mention to Miguel who has recommended us beautiful restaurants with very nice views and he helped us. A professional from head to toe. Also to his partner María Jesús for her great professionalism. You should be proud to have them. The hotel is magnificent, the views incredible, the restaurant, I have no words to describe it, the staff, everything. It is a pity it has been sold. I hope that if I go to that hotel again, it will still have the same essence as this hotel.

My partner and I decided to book a baby moon joint birthday all inclusive holiday for 7 nights to this hotel. A holiday where we wanted to just relax and enjoy the last holiday we have as a 2. We checked in with no issues, and early which was a bonus. Upon arriving to our allocated room I found that my partner had paid for the room to be decorated with rose petals fresh from the florist, balloons, a chocolate cake and a hand written note. This was lovely to walk into and a great surprise, my partner was able to sort this through the manager Borga who was ever so helpful. We found there to be a couple minor issues with the room, one being the door handle to balcony being broken and the other was the shower was broken, both were swiftly fixed the same day after reporting. However, I would like to add that the hotel charged my partner €30 for the cake alone in our room, which was delicious and one of the best cakes we’ve ever tasted, but for us to find out it was included in the all inclusive buffet daily was a bit annoying. Unsure if this is just my opinion but I don’t know how the hotel can justify the €30 charge for the cake alone when we have already paid for all inclusive! By all means charge for the cost to decorate with balloons rose petals etc but the charge for the cake seemed unfair, especially at €30! The beds were the worst I’ve ever slept on, was like sleeping on concrete, we attempted to sleep on the sofa bed to see if any better but that was even worse! The shower never stayed the same temperature, it goes from the perfect temperature to scolding hot or ice cold within seconds and without even touching anything! The air con was also not working, which is a BIG reason we had such a poor stay, upon asking the receptionist why, he advised the hotel just haven’t turned it on yet! The hotel advertised air con so the air con should be on! Who wants to be in a room without aircon in 25°c+ heat!! We tried to manage without it but we couldn’t bare it therefore returned to reception and were given the option to rent a fan at the price of €16 and €10 deposit! The fan was broken and useless as just circulated the hot air. I will add that breakfast was lovely, but very busy, the queues each morning for pancakes and omelettes were crazy, and it completely made the buffet area inaccessible due to the queues, it was very unorganised and people seemed to always push themselves in front, was every man for themselves! The adult pool area was nice, constant activities going on and very comfortable sunbeds (until they changed them on the last day), the music was always good and sun was on the pool area all day! The pools however were the coldest I’ve ever been in, every person we saw go in squealed as they went in, and lots of kids cried as they entered. The lunch and tea was nice, nice dishes with chicken, beef, turkey or pork always an option. Just a bit repetitive so we ended up having food elsewhere towards the end of the holiday. Overall I feel like

4 star rating overall from me. There are imperfections, but I wouldn't read too much in to some of the recent very negative reviews. Located at the far end of Magaluf, towards Cala Vinyes, but within 10 minutes or so walk of the ”bright lights” of the ***** if wanted. I caught public bus A11 from the airport which takes around 40 minutes and drops less than a 10 minute walk away - all for the princely sum of 6.75 euros (that becomes cheaper if you tap on and off using a contactless card - but mine wouldn't work). A taxi is c. 50 euros. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away out of the front door, albeit the slope / steps are quite steep and, not untypically for Spain, it appears the last couple of steps were never properly finished so have to be exited sidewards. We were a group of middle aged lads, occupying three rooms, one in block 2 (above reception) and two in block 1. The rooms varied but were all clean and tidy, TVs had a choice of UK channels, and (large refillable type) shampoo and shower gel were provided. My mini fridge was fully stocked (water, beer and soft drinks), but the other two rooms weren't (maybe because I'm a Hyatt club member and booked directly?). My safety deposit box needed a new battery that I had to follow up on day 2 for it to be fixed (they wanted me to be present to fix it). This hotel, that I suspect was born from amalgamation of 2 or maybe even 3 hotels, tries to be all things to all people - with clients ranging from young families with children, through couples, groups and the retired. It is large, with multiple pools, and a choice of food and drink venues were available (noting recent reviews about a slow start to the season, low occupancy and limited choice etc). Late afternoon check in was smooth and efficient for me, but I appreciate if bus loads arrive at the same time it could be lengthy. We were all inclusive and food and drink was generally good, albeit as others have noted, you need to keep an eye on things being fully cooked - we had to waste some under cooked chicken. Labelling was also an issue with some missing and others confused - baked beans labelled as ”small black pudding” being an example. See sample menus from Tapas and Burger ”Market Street” venues. We were able to use these ”specialities” at leisure, but I suspect they might be limited or need to be pre-booked in high season. There are some anomalies about what drinks are included - some cocktails are and others aren't. For example, Mojito is extra? The entertainment during our stay was mixed. The (newly arrived) team work hard, but things weren't perfect - the promised music quiz on our last night wasn't delivered for example. That said, the live singers weren't bad. We had a Beatles tribute band, and 90s retro live singers. The pools aren't heated, but were fine once you got in - the weather being mid 20's and sunny when I was there (9th to 13th May). Be aware pool towels need a 10 euro deposit, that can only be reclai
