The reception lady was very kind and made us as comfortable as we were home. The bathrooms in the rooms are very clean and the location is very convenient for traveling. The boss and staff are very enthusiastic. The design style is designed by Japanese designers, which integrates Chinese Tangka art. The Tangka collected by the boss is hand-painted Tangka, and each Tangka is called a boutique. Standing in front of Tangka, I feel that the whole world has become quiet, and the mind seems to be returning. This is not only a place to stay, but also a good place to relax and find the soul itself. 3 I always think that the meaning of travel is not only to see the scenery, but more importantly to experience life. At this homestay, I found such an experience. From the decoration design in the room to the layout of each Tangka, every detail makes people feel warm and clean. What an impressive B&B. Soft water is used for washing in the whole house, and drinking water comes from a direct drinking machine. I cannot rate Tangfang Courtyard more highly. I almost don't want to write a review and reveal it to more travellers! The photos are accurate of the elegant, beauty of this courtyard based hotel. The room was high ceilinged with wooden rafters, smart, elegant shower, bowls of fruit, spoiling bedding. It was bang in the centre of the old city, yet completely tranquil in a gorgeously authentic, but quiet street. We were greeted warmly and cosily by Yezi, who welcomed us with drinks and fruit, and really couldn't do enough for us. My son is fluent in Mandarin but I don't speak a word yet still, she was eager to help me make my dairy free coffee in the morning, quickly sorted us a great, appropriately priced driver and comfortable car to go to the hanging monastery and grottoes the next day. This is unique in that is in an authentic building, elegant, yet cosy family atmosphere with a kitchen/dining room where all guests eat round the same table. The last effort Yezi and her colleagues made was to source me some of the very striking vinegar jars unique to Datong at a moment's notice, the morning we were leaving. Bearing in the mind, this was done via Google Translate, I cannot thank you them all enough. They made our stay in Datong memorable, beyond the obvious wonders of the UNESCO sites. The service is intimate and enthusiastic. I set off early in the morning and prepared breakfast for us in advance. No matter when I need service, I always reply in time. I dare say this is Datong Hotel NO.1. Next time we come to Datong, we will still live in this house. There are also many specialty food stores around, serving authentic Datong knife-cut noodles and mutton offal to satisfy your appetite. - Environment: The Siheyuan retains the traditional architectural style, with green tiles and gray walls, antique charm, and there are several trees in the yard, which feels particularly cozy. The room is warmly decorated, clean and tidy, the bed is soft and comfortable, and I feel very safe staying here. - Service: The owner and staff are very enthusiastic. When checking in, they not only gave us travel tips, but also recommended restaurants with great value for money. After checking out, they can help store your luggage. I will stay here again next time I come to Datong!

Breakfast buns, steamed buns, millet porridge is delicious Take a bath with an electric water heater for 20 minutes, then wait 20 minutes before using it. It's OK if you're not in a hurry.
