We received warm welcome. Overall excellent service from hotel staff to the restaurants. We had a happy and enjoyable stay at the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree. Highly recommend this place.
After staying at the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree for 3 nights, we went on to stay at the Shanghai on the bund Bayan Tree. We experienced a stark contrast in service from the front desk staff from the bund Banyan Tree. We wondered why they kept stopping us from getting into the room that we have booked for. In the end, we went through changing 3 rooms before they finally gave us the correct facing room. So, beware of the Shanghai on the Bund Banyan Tree and do not believe in the free upgrade or upsize room. We rejected the first corner room only to be given another corner room at the other end that were both warm and uncomfortable. The staff kept assuring us that they were bigger rooms and better view than the Panorama Riverside Retreat-King room that we have booked for but we want the room that we have booked. Why can't they give us the right room in the first place and have to made us go through changing from one room to another. A clear dishonest play here.
We missed the Hang Zhou Banyan Tree front desk staff.

Hotel is in a fantastic location and a beautiful building. Staff were good to deal with.
The issues though, are the following:
-Airconditioning doesn't work properly in the rooms. You can set the thermostat as low as possible and it won't budge an inch. Independently tested this with a portable temp monitor. Was very hot to sleep in 24C room with AC on supposedly 'full-blast'. Ended up having to open all the windows and outside door instead. I did ask hotel staff to assist with the room AC, but they weren't able to improve the situation.
-The restaurant isn't great. We went for lunch and were served cold duck and cold fried fish. I'm very happy eating Chinese food, though in this case, I didn't think the food options were good or tasty. Breakfast selection is just OK.
-I really think the air-ventilation needs to be checked. The whole hotel feels very 'stuffy'. I don't think that there's a good air-exchange happening with the outside air, which is a pity, because it's otherwise a nice hotel in a good location.

We only stayed here for one night but there were many aspects that really wowed us about this hotel. The location of this hotel to the west lake is only a 20 min walk or a brief 10 min bike ride. Definitely go by bike, there’s good bike lanes all along the way. The breakfast at this hotel really blew us away. A ton of freshly made (literally in front of you) and high quality food with a lot of choices. They recently opened a bar and they had live music at night. We got a complementary drink because it’s new and trying to attract new customers and it was tasty.

This time I came to Hangzhou mainly to see Conan's 30th anniversary exhibition with my friends. I saw that this hotel near Joy City had a good rating on the platform, so I booked a room here with my friends. When I arrived at the hotel, the sound of the fountain at the door cooled down the hot weather a lot. When I stepped into the hotel lobby, the space with a height of more than ten meters was magnificent. It would be even better if it could be accompanied by some light music. During the check-in period, the front desk lady poured us a cup of cool and delicious grapefruit tea. We didn't have to wait for a long time and we could basically check in. There were free mouthwash, dental floss and earplugs at the elevator entrance. I think this is very personalized. I have stayed in many hotels before, but they were not displayed and needed to be asked at the front desk. Here, they were placed at the elevator entrance in a self-service form. It was very considerate to come and get them when needed. It was great! Fortunately, the front desk lady upgraded us. The room was very large and two people would not feel crowded. The room had a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window and the scenery was also very good. The room facing the road would not be noisy at night. The room also had a smart butler Xiaodu, which saved a lot of trouble. There is a subway station less than 100 meters away from the hotel, and Joy City is diagonally across the road. It is really convenient to travel. The gym is on the underground first floor, which has all kinds of fitness equipment and a swimming pool. It's really great for me who loves swimming. Overall, this stay was very good! It's a pity that I didn't have breakfast here. Next time I come to Hangzhou, I will choose this hotel to experience the breakfast here!

A pleasant and comfortable stay at this lovely hotel. The decor and design of the hotel gives a unique and serene ambience.
Service was excellent and staff were friendly and professional.
Room is not big but clean and comfortable. The downside is that the room is quite stuffy even in winter cos it seems the hotel turned in the heating system.
The hotel provides children’s slippers and toothbrush. There is also a free laundromat with ironing facilities which is really useful especially when travelling with young children.
Breakfast variety was acceptable.
Location is about 20min from city by car.
Overall an excellent stay at this lovely hotel.

The scenery of Hangzhou in April is absolutely top-notch. How can you enjoy Hangzhou during the Qingming Festival? First of all, I made sure that I had to book a room in a scenic area. I could reach it by walking or riding a bike even if there was a huge traffic jam outside, so I chose the familiar Yaguquan Villa. The hotel itself has a very high greening rate. The key is that there is an ancient teahouse path in the hotel, and you can reach the beautiful turtle pond in Aohao Bay in 3 minutes (Figure 1-6). There is also good news. Hellobike can be ridden directly to the hotel bicycle parking area, which is a normal parking area. The hotel's software service is also very nice. When I checked in, there happened to be a Mr. Ji at the front desk who was enthusiastic and very skilled in business. He understood my request in seconds before I finished speaking. The communication was extremely smooth and he knew everything about the surrounding area of the hotel. On the afternoon of my stay in the courtyard, the excavator was digging cables. Although it was promised that it would be closed before 2:30 pm, it still had a certain impact on my stay. After knowing this, Mr. Ji took the initiative to offer me a double set meal. Since I had ordered a meal out in the evening, it was replaced with breakfast for my son during my stay. In short, the crisis public relations ability is very strong, good reviews, and I will come again during the osmanthus season.

My child was attending a swimming competition in Daguan, Hangzhou at the weekend. In order for him to have a good rest, I chose a hotel that was close to the swimming pool and clean. As expected, I was not disappointed. The room was clean and tidy. The stay experience was very good. The service was very good and polite. The park was beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I will definitely stay here again next time I have the chance.

SSusanEle Jane is in a very good and convenient location. Very close to the Longjing Tea village and in a natural environment. It is like staying in the forest within the city, which is a short DiDi ride away. DiDi’s were easy to hail and we never had to wait long. Our room was upgraded at no cost on arrival. We arrived early and left our luggage at the hotel to go explore the area. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us very good advice on what the area offers. We connected on WeChat and they were fairly eager to try to communicate in English too despite the language barrier, we appreciate their efforts. They provided us with an English tourist map of the area and advised us on the bus routes etc. As can be seen in the photos the room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was healthy and enjoyable. Limited options but nice. Two suggestions. Provide your foreign guests with the hotel’s location pin and DiDi address. We found it challenging to find the hotel’s address in the DiDi app when we arrived at Hangzhoudong railway station (about 15km away from the hotel.) Once my husband’s DiDi got lost and he was dropped off at an entirely different address. Another suggestion. We stayed two nights and the room was not made up the second day. We were a bit disappointed as it is the first hotel we stayed at that did not provide this cleaning service. We were also disappointed that the swimming pool and hot tub was under maintenance because that was one of the reasons why we booked the hotel in Trip.com. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. Another bonus was that the beds were comfortable and soft. The hotel is also pet friendly. Not a lot of activities offered for families with small kids, but is is close enough to many other attractions.

GGuest UserOur party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024. We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting. We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in. I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops. Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us. Not a soul was in sight. Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed. From there on, however, things only got better and better. So, yes, this was a quiet property. There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about. But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected. And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient. During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out. The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand. Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance. The layout was a bit of a labyrinth. There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display. Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake. The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards. Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?). They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night. There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater. Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds. Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace. Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel. Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular. We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip). We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable. In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area. In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort. We were very comfortable during our short stay. We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff. We would love to return. It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions. Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

GGuest UserI traveled to Qiandao Lake in late August and chose two hotels that were highly recommended. I had high expectations for Minghao and specially arranged to stay in the second one. The result was quite different from what I imagined.
First of all, I was very satisfied with the room hygiene and facilities. It is a newly opened hotel. The sanitary napkins and shower room are separated, and the constant temperature shower is good. What I was not satisfied with was that the balcony of the third-floor room was blocked by a half-person-high wall, and the lake could not be seen from the house. Even now, the balcony is not high enough and is blocked by trees, so the view is not wide. It is recommended to choose rooms on the fourth floor and above.
On the morning of the check-in day, the housekeeper called and added WeChat, and sent the arrangement of special summer activities and the business hours of various facilities. The content looked rich and colorful, but it was actually very special. Most of the parent-child activities were set up in a booth in the lobby. No one organized it, and no children participated. The form was greater than the content. The outdoor swimming pool that I was looking forward to was far away from the hotel lobby and could not be accessed indoors. It took a long time to walk under the scorching sun. The road was not separated by people and cars, which was very inconvenient, and it was only open in the afternoon. Some vouchers were given upon check-in, but they all have thresholds. The two free ice cream coupons also have a time limit. I didn't have time to use them in the end. I blame myself for not seeing the activity time clearly. The main playground is not as big as I imagined. I personally think it is less than 3,000 square meters, but it is enough to play. Many areas in it have empty shelves, the carousel is not always open, and the ground in the overall walking area is really hard.
Five apples were given as souvenirs when I checked out. The attitude of the hotel staff is also very good, but there is always a feeling of being forced to operate, and I can't feel it from the heart. The overall feeling is that they want to build a high-end hotel, but they only achieve the form, not the spirit. It is not recommended for vacation.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Hangzhou Xizi Hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and offers its own private scenic view of West Lake, which makes the experience even more special and serene.
The service was excellent—staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The entire hotel was very clean and well-maintained, which added to the comfort of the stay.
One of the highlights was the complimentary travel photography service provided by the hotel. The makeup was done beautifully, and I was impressed that each costume is cleaned after every use. The photographer was amazing—skilled, patient, and gave great guidance for poses, which made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. （笑玩旅拍摄影师武昊，化妆师可可和伟伟老师）
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hangzhou. It’s a perfect blend of scenic beauty, quality service, and unique offerings.

IIntrepid Traveller8Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand.
I would say some things for improvement are as follows:
Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here.
Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left!
Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated.
The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better).
The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on
携程 （Ctrip） or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better.
The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels.

AAnyaWe had such a wonderful time at Voco! The hotel is very clean and beautiful. The views of the lake are gorgeous- especially from the breakfast restaurant and the gym. You can watch the sun set right over the water. The hotel staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and there are plenty of options. I do think the restaurant prices for lunch/dinner are a bit high, but the hotel is just a walk away from other restaurants. It’s located on Yangguang Road, right along a running/walking path next to the lake. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Qiandaohu!

SSUSANThe hotel is perfectly located on West Lake, right by the famous lake light fountain display and street stalls. Also in easy reach of commercial shopping area, including international designer brands. The reception and lobby area is vast and beautifully set out with plenty of comfy sofas, plus pastry stall, cafe and bar (behind the antique door). We stayed in a River View Twin Room on 7th floor and had amazing views of the lake. The room was spacious with sofa and table area. The bathroom had a bath, single sink, and plenty of space for toiletries. The smart toilet and shower were each in their own cubicle, making it easy for privacy. The free swimming pool was a nice addition and not busy at all. We even got to use the jacuzzi in the spa as it was empty. Just remember to bring your swimming cap as it's mandatory for the pool!
The highlight is the breakfast buffet....a vast array of stations with western and Eastern dishes, freshly made and plenty of cakes and fruit. Really fantastic quality and taste. As we had upgraded to Club status, we also had access to the 8th floor roof top which is brilliant for more sights of the lake, plus you get arrival snacks and drinks, and nightly happy hour for 2hrs. Do not miss this as it's not just drinks and alcohol - food is also included and it was enough for us as our dinner.
Overall, we couldn't fault anything with this hotel. It was perfect for our 2-night stay for sightseeing Hangzhou.

NNickRZHotel room not too bad, had a problem with the TV but phoned and it got fixed quickly. Bed is comfortable. Shower is warm and powerful. Not much noise outside from other hotel guests. View outside is a city view so looked out onto Hangzhou Tower. Top floor has view of West Lake which is nice.
A little disappointed to find Thai restaurant (Sawasdee) in the hotel serving Chinese food when we were really looking for a range of Thai food, so went to the buffet instead which was nice and had a good range of food, drink and desserts for dinner.
Flight out was at 630am, so happy that the hotel arranged a very early wake up call, quick check out and a taxi arranged for 4am.
Quite satisfied with the service.
